Internet will expose apartheid in “Hindu India”

When, one day, the history of the Dalit struggle to be recognised as human beings comes to be written, the name V.T. Rajshekar together with that of Dr. B.R Ambedkar will be writ large for the whole world to see.

The Dalit Voice edited by V.T. Rajshekar is the only publication in India which brings to the fore the aspirations of the Dalit people. The magazine has kept this dream alive for 26 years in the teeth of overwhelming odds. Rajshekar has earned his rest after these long years. It will be very difficult to find someone with his skill, determination and sensitivity to fill the gap.

The Task Ahead: It took 3,000 years to build this monstrosity called Hinduism brick by brick. It will take a lot longer than 26 years to bring down this monument of prejudice, injustice and cruelty. But do not despair. There is hope yet.

Aug.6, 1991 was a red letter day for the world. On this day an Englishman of science named Tim Berners-Lee gave to the world the World Wide Web. This means no longer anyone or any country could carry on any activity without being noticed by the rest of the world. This means Hinduism will not be able to practise its apartheid behind closed doors. This means this cult masquerading as a world religion which affects only the Indian subcontinent and the diaspora will be fully exposed to the full and merciless glare of the world.

The Caste System: The caste system was founded by Krishna and confirmed by the mythical hermaphrodite Manu:

“The four fold Caste System was created by me”. (Bhagavad-Gita 4.13)

Pratima Bowes on page 305 in her book, The Hindu Tradition, says:

“The greatest weakness of this culture, however, is the hereditary caste system which … has undermined (its) social and moral structure.”

The Hindus believe your present status is determined by what you had done in previous incarnations. The theory of Karma, I believe, is at the root of the tragedy that is India.

When Clive Anderson, a well known impresario of London, visited India recently he was struck by the extremes of wealth and poverty he saw: He was told:

“We believe in the doctrine of Karma. Each person’s fate is determined by his own past action in a previous life. So you can do nothing to change the situation.”

Hindus against UN: The Hindus’ basic belief is that all human beings are created unequal. This is because of the caste system created by Krishna. It follows from this that Hindus will be automatically opposed to even the Charter of the United Nations which reaffirms “faith in fundamental human rights, unlike dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small”.

A gloomy forecast for Hinduism: So Rajshekar. Take heart. There are 3 groups of writers who are very pessimistic about the survival of Hinduism.

1) Lal and Loon (on page 127 of their book, Introducing Hinduism). They say:

“As knowledge of India grows around the world and Bollywood, Indian fashions, Indian classical music….among many other phenomena leave their mark on contemporary world culture, Hinduism will come under increasing scrutiny. “

2) Gidoomal and Thompson (on page 150 in their book, A Way of Life) they say:

“Whoever is in power the tension over caste and class will continue”

3) Pratima Bowes (on page 17 of her book, The Hindu Tradition) she says:

“The opinion is often expressed that the Caste System is the centre of the Hindu religion and a breakdown of this system means the end of this religion”

And finally, the Word Wide Web (W.W.W) has at last sounded the death knell for this cult, long hidden from the world’s gaze and practised by a motley segment of humanity will be mercilessly exposed by scientists such as Richard Dawkins, A.C. Grayling; Sam Harris; Christopher Hutchins and Meera Nanda.

And all mankind will then proclaim with one voice: -

Brahminism dragging down India

This long message sent by an old member of the DV family in England was read out by the Editor himself at the Dalit Voice silver jubilee function in London on July 24, 2007. The message is published in full because of its eminent author’s several qualifications to comment with full authority on Brahminism that is dragging down India: she is an eminent anthropologist, (age 71), a White British citizen, deep study of India where she lived for several years with her daughter married to a Brahmin in Madhya Pradesh. She was away in Canada during our London meeting.

When Brahminical media is dying, DV is India’s only hope

At a time when India’s journalistic world is becoming totally corrupt and irrelevant, your decision to close down Dalit Voice comes as a shocking news. Honest journalists with a conscience have no place in our “toilet papers”, to use your phrase.

They are being pulled up for telling the truth. Which means even the right to free speech and expression outside office premises in informal settings are now being denied to journalists. The situation is such that mainstream journalism is getting really suffocating as never before. The message is clear — either become a prostitute or leave the profession forever. There is covert, but organised censorship going on which people and readers are not aware of. Even if they become aware, they seem to be least bothered. So many youngsters like me are getting frustrated and feeling trapped as well as suffocated. No longer is it possible to call whatever is going on as journalism. A friend is thinking how to quit the profession and he is extremely frustrated. Only the dirtiest swines are thriving in the “mainstream” media these days. Some of the finest print media journalists are sitting at home without jobs. TV-based news values have already gone to the dogs and everything is totally at the mercy of market and advertisers. These days everybody is hired only on contract basis with constant job insecurity. There are no unions or any forums to oppose whatever dirty things are going on. Even the readership of the “mainstream” media is least bothered.

In that sense, Dalit Voice readership is a million times more involved.

You must keep in mind that reading habits are vanishing due to urban literacy as well as “attention deficit disorder”, besides “information overload”. All this has adversely affected print media already. Naturally Dalit Voice too has been adversely affected just like all other print media publications which has to compete with TV and Internet and cell phones these days. I would even say that cell phones are the future of the media. Already internet newspaper sites and TV is available on cell phones. News updates and headline services are also available on cell phones in an SMS format, print media seems to be becoming a “sunset” sector, while electronic media seems to be the “sunrise” sector. All non-corrupt journalists in the “mainstream” print media are feeling totally cornered and castrated. Many are leaving the profession. No longer can anybody deny that whatever is going on is absolute disinformation.

You cannot believe how dirty this profession has become. This is one more reason why Dalit Voice must not close down.

Orissa DV members reject Editor’s plea

Brahminical critics may call DV a hate forum, destructive machine, pessimistic, or use all sorts of abusive language against DV and its Editor. But the readers and the participants of Orissa DV silver jubilee function shattered all these nonsense. They simply endorsed DV as their Voice, voice of the persecuted people of this land. Orissa, the land of Bahujans (93%), held DV silver jubilee function on June 10. Just imagine the spirit of this tiny 28-paged magazine that brought readers from 500 km away from different parts of Orissa to Bhubaneswar. Editor of Hindi DV, Dr. K.K. Sidhu, and Dr. D. Yadaiah of Hyderabad and a group of readers from West Bengal including Kazi Kamrujjaman were there. DV members came to hear the man of mission, V.T. Rajshekar, about the alternative media against Brahminism. The topic for the first session, “DV — its impact on Dalit/Bahujans”, created a favourable environment there. Readers of North Kalahandi to West Bolangir, South Berhampur, Central Angul and coastal Balasore, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri expressed their solidarity with DV and how it makes them think differently and accurately. The Editor revealed his agony and anger against the nasty Brahminical system and scolded the slavish mentality of the victims of the system.

The Editor’s request to close down of DV was emotionally rejected by the house. But matured persons involved in this field like R.P. Swain, MLA, Issac Behera, IAS (retd), Dr. B.K. Mallick, HOD, History Dept., Utkal University, K.M. Tanti, OAS(I), Orissa Muslim forum leader T. Anwer, Balaram Mallick, Sreenath Jena endorsed the voice by their assurance to propagate DV.

DV readers of Orissa expressed their conviction that only SC/ST/OBC combination can stop the Brahmin and Karan rule in Orissa and empower them. The meeting understood the importance of DV and the need to step up Dalit literature against cultural aggression of Brahminic media.

Significance of Delhi function

This refers to the silver jubilee function of Dalit Voice in Delhi on April 8, 2007 and the Editorial comment on “Closing down DV” and the article “How sunset when there was no sunrise over Dalit world?” by Brother Gurnam Singh Muktsar (DV July 1, 2007 p.20). I have attended all the workshops of DV held in North India i.e. Lucknow, Shimla, Chandigarh including the silver jubilee function in Delhi. Not simply attended all these functions but also helped organize these functions. Along with Brother Rajmal Chaudhary (HP), Ramesh Tirdia (Haryana) we reached Delhi a day before to look after the silver jubilee arrangements. Brother Gurnam Singh says DV worked hard for over 25 years but could not gather even 100 intellectuals. Right. If not 100, DV gathered at least 25 hardcore missionaries like us. The Delhi show was an historic event when DV family from Himachal to Manipur and Punjab to Kerala gathered just on the simple DV announcement without any invitation. They all came to attend this function from all over the country at their on cost for the sake of Dalit Voice which they all love.

Eccentric genius ?

As I have been saying all these years, Dalit Voice is a staple food for me and I can’t afford to miss even its single issue. And yes, there may be difference of opinion but I have no complaint against you. By now everybody has realised that you are an eccentric genius, the one and only that the Dalits can be proud of. I found from DV report that the Ahmedabad DV workshop was a big fiasco. It was quite predicable. People have by now realised that you want to sell your own agenda: “caste identity” and Dalit-Muslim solidarity both of which have reasons to fail. And you instantly brand all those who disagree with you as RSS-influenced, neo-Brahmins, Dalit elites and what not. Differences aside, we love you, respect you and will do so for ever. For we know you are the real fighter, you have suffered a lot, you have sacrificed a lot for the Dalit cause. Even though you are not a born Dalit, you devoted your entire life for Dalit empowerment.

DV gave new breath

We are pained to read the Editor pouring out his agony (DV Edit May 16, 2007: “Sunset over Dalit world”). We have decided to enrol 50 or more subscribers from Chandrapur city. We assure you to create a “DV Readers Circle” in Chandrapur. I may be a new DV family member but got a new breath after reading DV. My request to Editor is not even to think of “closing down of DV”. We the young blood of Babasaheb will take the mission forward. We promise. We also want to be your regular writers. We also want to learn the DV style of writing and its honest culture of working to fight and uproot Brahminical counter-revolution. DV alone is capable of preparing revolutionaries.

We already have a good “Bahujan group” comprising engineers. We meet every weekend to discuss current affairs and reading sessions. From DV, we got to know about Dr. K. Jamanadas an intellectual from Chandrapur. We want to meet him. Though we belong to the same city we have not heard of him. He will be our guide. Thank you for introducing a towering genius.

West defeated in “clash of ideas” with Islam

[Paper on “US War on Terror” presented at the London Institute of South Asia (LISA) seminar in London on July 24 2007 at the Imperial College of Science, South Kensington, Central London. ]

The subject, “US War on Terror” has been the hottest international controversy for the past several years that any opinion you express is bound to be criticised. I am very well aware of the risks.

But we the Dalits (Untouchables of India), treated as slaves by its Hindu rulers, belong to no party to this longest war of the century waged by the American-led West against “terrorism.” We are neither Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Jew. India’s Hindu rulers led by their 3% Brahmins are the most enthusiastic supporters of America and its war on terror. India has the world’s largest Muslim population (next to Indonesia) which the Hindu rulers have declared as the enemy of Hindus and subjected to daily war and violence. So I am, with the permission of the chair, amending the subject to include India in my paper. Being neither Hindu nor Muslim our opinion on this war on terror can be taken as impartial, rank outsiders.

As the Editor of Dalit Voice, India’s largest circulated journal of the Untouchables, we have been writing on this “US war on Terror” ever since George W. Bush father launched the “clash of civilisations” and we are glad to tell you our readers have fully supported our stand on this subject. We have also gathered enough evidences from authentic American sources itself about the “terrorist attack” on the World Trade Centre. Hundreds of lies have been manufactured to hide the real perpetrators of the WTC holocaust.

Subsequent developments have revealed that Saddam Hussain had neither the weapons of mass destruction nor did he have any connection with Al-Qaida.

American people would have realised long back that this war on terror is built on a mountain of lies, totally hidden from their eyes by the mass media, controlled by its Jewish owners and journalists. The American voters themselves rejected President Bush’s party of Republicans after disbelieving his lies on the war. Bush himself has become the most hated President of America. His tail, Tony Blair, had a shameful exit. The Bush poodle died even before its master. The world opinion is not only against Bush and Blair and the war they started but the peoples of the world have started disbelieving all the lies manufactured to launch this war.

So it is now clear, even to a child, that all these cock and bull stories were manufactured and sold to protect the zionist Israel, which is the cause of the entire Middle East violence.

INDIA’S WAR ON MUSLIMS

In India too, we are witnessing the same scene daily. What we call as the “Jews of India” have made full use of this “US war on terror” and launched a bloody war on Indias’ Muslims. Not a single day passes without a war and violence on India’s innocent Muslims.

So it is now clear that this “US War on Terror” is nothing but a war on Muslims and Islam.

We very often hear from government leaders and the media that the “terrorists are killing innocents.” If Bush and Blair can kill millions and millions of innocent Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine etc, what is wrong in Muslims getting angry and retaliating? The Muslim terrorism is a rightful reaction to the Western action. Muslims say:” You stop the war on Muslims and Muslims will stop terrorism.” Why there was no Muslim terrorism before the Bush-Blair war on Muslims? For this Bush and Blair may point out the grave Al –Qaida provocation of 9/11 but we have our own doubts about the American version of 9/11. If the hate-Muslim campaign in the West is a recent development, in India the Muslim hatred was the very basis of the country’s partition in 1947. The Hindu rulers waged three wars against Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir, the world’s second longest lasting international dispute after Palestine, disregarding the UN call for plebiscite on the disputed territory.

So on this anti-Muslim hatred demonizing Muslims and attributing all types of cruelty to Muslims, India’s Hindu rulers excel American and Western rulers.

Nay. On one side they hate the Muslims (15% of India), on the other side they are doing everything to keep our people, Dalits (20%) enslaved. Why they hate both because most of the Indian Muslims are converts from our community and conversion brought liberation. I have to give this brief background of India because though India is far, far away from the West both suffer from the same hate-Muslim insomnia and the consequent pain, suffering, war and violence.

After observing this unending “war on terror” in the West and in India, our conclusion is that this “war on terror” is nothing but a war on Islam. Any amount of hiding this war on Islam by giving it all sorts of respectable names cannot hide the real intentions behind it.

Bush/Blair/ Brown argument that their intention is to “promote democracy” will not impress the Muslims, or outsiders like us.

WESTERN CONCEPT OF DEMOCRACY

Because the word “democracy” itself makes the Muslims suspect the sellers of democracy. Please note “democracy” and “secularism” are zionist inventions to subvert and destroy nation-states and the ethnic identities which are the special features of Asian and African societies. This statement may come as a shock to you, but those doubting us may verify this from the book, Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the secret book of the zionists (for copies write to Dalit Voice office, Rs. 50). The failure of Western model of democracy in India is because it did not take into consideration India’s caste-based society and its varieties of ethnic identities. Even in China, “democracy” is not accepted for the very same reason. Western-style democracy and secularism can work only in countries where the society is homogenous.

If the West goes on lecturing Muslims on “strengthening democracy” not only Muslims, but also Asians and Africans will suspect such people more and more.

The West only talks of democracy and says Muslims must promote democracy. But always supports the worst tyrants like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan etc.

British rulers have also started using some deceptive language. The new PM, Gordon Brown, wants to change the choice of language. The media is also calling for a new vocabulary. But we can tell you that such a change is no use because by now the whole world knows what is meant by this “war on terror.” It is nothing but a war on Islam.

HOW TO DESTROY AN IDEA?

After making a deep study of the problem, I want to impress both the Western as well as India’s Hindu warmongers that they can never, ever win this “war on terror”- meaning Islam.

Why? Because Islam is an idea or ideology. An idea cannot be defeated or killed by any weapon, any army or bomb. An idea can be fought and defeated by a more superior idea.

An overwhelming majority of Western Christians are innocent and good people. But the Western ruling class is guided by zionist money bags, media and its stink (not think) tank. This is the real problem.

Do the people conducting this war on Muslims have any superior idea or ideology to defeat the Islamic ideology?

SUICIDE BOMBER

Both the Western rulers and India’s Hindu rulers have launched a bloody war on Muslims and Islam. They have killed millions and millions of Muslims. But to this day they have not claimed any victory. Nor have they made even a dent on Islam.

Muslims are simply fighting and dying. They are ready to die. Even young, unarmed boys are fighting the armed Israeli soldiers and dying. But it is the Western people and India’s Brahminical rulers who say they are afraid of dying. The Muslims have invented a new revolutionary magic weapon unknown to the West – the suicide bomber (Japanese and Lankan precedents are there).

Neither the Western nor Hindu rulers could prepare a single suicide bomber to this day. They have no courage. How can those who are afraid of dying win a war?

But Muslims have produced hundreds of such soldiers. Even young Muslim girls are not afraid of dying. Suicide bombers are dying daily. They call it Jihad.

So at this stage we can confidently predict who is going to win this war of ideas. Having failed so far to win this war, the sinking American rulers are now under zionist pressure to attack Iran. That means a sure world war because that will force China, Russia and many other countries to intervene. And the UN, the world’s only hope, will break into pieces.

SALMAN RUSHDIE HONOUR

Such a bankruptcy of ideas and ideology is forcing the Western rulers to take desperate steps even at the cost of a third world war — all because of their misplaced love for a tiny Israel and defend its illegal occupation of the Palestinian land.

Having failed in this war, they are already giving expression to their desperation resorting to heinous tactics of corrupting and co-opting their Muslim enemies. We have the standing example of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and its American stooge appointed Prime Minister. Not only that. Tony Blair, hated by the Palestinians and the Muslims as a whole, is appointed Middle East envoy on whom the Muslims have no trust. Such a habit of corrupting and co-opting enemies of Muslims and honouring hated authors like Salman Rushdie is like pouring petrol on the burning fire.

Such actions of the West are forcing the Muslim revolutionaries to fight two enemies – internal and external – at the same time. This is what Hamas is called upon to do in Palestine and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Unless the internal enemies are eliminated first, the external enemies cannot be fought.

So to put the matter straight it is a no-holds-barred war against Islam not by the masses of Christians in the West and India but by a tiny Western ruling class led by its zionist masters and by a mere micro-minority of 3% “Jews of India”.

LESSONS OF HISTORY

While dealing with this most important burning topic of the day, I will be failing in my duty if I don’t refer to the lessons of history. I have to refer to history because history has taught us that those who forget the past cannot build the future. What does history say? Among the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), the conflict has been mostly between Christianity and Judaism. Jews who lived in Islamic empires faced no persecution.

“The Muslims of Spain had given Jews the best home they had ever had in the diaspora, so the annihilation of Spanish Jewry was mourned by Jews throughout the world as the greatest disaster to have befallen their people since the destruction of the Temple in CE 70.” (P. 304, Karen Armstrong, A History of God, 1993, Vintage Books, London)

The author, a British Roman Catholic nun and a distinguished religious historian, says it was Christianity that was most violent against Jews during the15th century. Thousands of Jews were expelled from different countries. The German nazis accused of Jewish Holocaust were also Christians. She refers to many clashes between Christians and Jews but hardly any between Muslims and Jews.

The Tehran correspondent of The Guardian (July 13, 2007) reports that 25,000 Jews living in Iran rejected the Israeli offer of cash if they migrated to Israel, the arch enemy of Iran. Jews have lived in Iran since 700 BC. Jews rejected the zionist offer and said that they were Iranians first and Jews second.

NO MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN CONFLICT

The zionist – Muslim conflict began only with the creation of the zionist state and imposing it on the Palestinians with the firm British Government blessings. Even Churchill was not happy with this arrangement. This is the beginning of the zionist-Muslim conflict if my reading of history is correct. Nor was there any major conflict between Muslims and Christians. Christ was given the highest place of a prophet in the Quran. Both the First and the Second World War were fought mainly between the Christians only.

The Muslims were forced to fight the zionists who were supported by the Christian ruling class of England only after the zionists illegally occupied the Arab land. Any number of UN resolutions are there on record.

We can understand the zionists hating Muslims because they are fighting the zionists who have occupied the Muslim land. Why should the Western Christians join this zionist war on Islam? Muslims have nothing against Christians.

This is where we get doubts that the Western Christian political leadership, particularly in America and England, is manipulated by Zionist money and media power. Total media blackout in America has kept its innocent people in total darkness. In fact, outsiders like us know more about the truth than those inside America.

Our fear is the American political leadership by becoming a puppet in the hands of zionists is not only endangering peace in the whole of West but causing the economic collapse of America itself. The peoples of India, China, Africa and peace loving peoples even in the West have their heart with the Muslim sufferers.

If the zionists want to impose Israel on the Arab land, let them do it. Why the Christian leadership should fight the zionist war?

Already the Christian religion is under too much confusion. A large number of churches in England, Germany and elsewhere are closed down. There are hardly and church-goers in the West. Many of them have become indifferent towards god and religion.

CHRISTIAN – MUSLIM RECONCILIATION

But the zionists who preached communism, atheism to Christians are keeping their synagogues active and their religion fighting fit. Even in America, mainstream churches are fading and the Jewish-controlled Evangelicals are running riot. The Christian religion itself is in deep trouble in the West. Christian values are under threat.

So it is time the Christian West and Christian religious leaders, the Pope, the World Council of Churches etc. deeply ponder over these serious issues which have endangered the very peace and happiness of the entire Western Christian world and make peace with Muslims and Islam and join Muslims to rebuild the world.

A noted American intellectual and professor of History at Columbia University, Dr. Richard W. Bulliet, has written a book itself on the subject,Islamo-Christian Civilisation (2004). There is an urgent need for Islam – Christian reconciliation to save the world from sure Armageddon (Dalit Voice editorial Sept. 16 2006). Unless the Western Christian laity correct, control and force their political leadership, they will not be able to avert a third world war which is knocking at our doors

According to the Guardian (July 17 2007) Al-Qaida has become stronger, better equipped and well placed to attack both America and Europe. This was the assessment of the American Government itself, according to the Guardian.

WHO IS REAL ENEMY OF JEWS?

There is yet another serious problem with the highly advanced Western Christian society and the Jews.

Muslims are enlightened enough to understand that despite all their educational backwardness they have identified their enemy. But it is the highly educated and scientifically advanced Christians and Jews who have failed to identify their enemy.

We congratulate our friend, the British journalist and historian, Alan Hart, for writing a scholarly book in two volumes on this subject, Zionism — The Real Enemy of the Jews.

The West should realise the fact that zionism is not only the enemy of Jews, but it is also the enemy of the Western Christian society. Similarly in India, the Brahmin is not our enemy. The real enemy of Brahmin and India is Brahminism.

But I am sorry to note Alan Hart’s scholarly work did not get the respect and recognition it deserved. As the Christians and Jews have failed to honour the writer, who made the world know the truth, it is now the duty of Muslims to honour Alan Hart.

CONCLUSION

The Western society today is the richest, technologically the most advanced and militarily the mightiest. In contrast the Muslim world is poor, backward and riddled with plenty of stooges who have placed their only wealth (oil) at the disposal of the West. In spite of all these advantages, why the West is not able to defeat the Muslims in Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine or even Pakistan?

Every time the “Muslim Terrorism” explodes the Western rulers say they are caught unawares. What does it mean? If the gory picture of the Al-Qaida and the more-than-the-life picture given about Osama Bin Laden are true, we are not able to understand how a frail ageing man sitting atop a mountain or hiding in a cave without any standing army, deadly weapons or any latest communication network is able to terrorise the world’s sole superpower. Are we listening to a fairy tale?

What does all this mean? The answer to this question reveals the Great Truth. The Western thinkers and scholars know the Truth but they are unable to understand it. What is this Great Truth? The Truth is between the world of property and world of ideas which is more powerful?

The West says the world of property is all that matters. If you have the wealth you can command anything. It brings happiness, respect. And military might will assure peace.

MILITARY MIGHT

All this is now proved false. The zionist Israel, a nuclear power and controller of the whole Western world, is not even getting sound sleep in the night.

Bush and his Neo-cons, who built the myth of military power as the determining factor, have been rejected by the American people themselves.

The dollar is sinking and China is poised to replace USA in another 20 years. Where is the myth of military might? Where is the superpower arrogance? Where is the dollar domination? Bush and Blair, dancing to the tunes of their zionist controllers have been rejected by their own people and thrown into the dustbin of history.

What a slap on the face of Samuel Huntington who tried to confuse and mislead us by calling it a “Clash of Civilisations.” It is not a clash of civilisations. It is a clash of ideas. What is worrying us in India is the desperate bid of the “Jews of India” to join hands with their counterparts in America. The “Jews of India” have urged the American Jews to shift their enormous capital to India so that together they could subjugate India’s Dalits, Muslim’s and other original inhabitants, finish their hated Pakistan and finally take on China.

But our information is that the American Jews have expressed some reservations on this offer. The Brahminical rulers are told that their 60 year-old rule of India has only made a mess of the whole country. They are first asked to show their “merit and efficiency” inside India before selling their global ambitions.

That means there is total confusion unless the Christian leadership takes the initiative to end this mindless war and violence. With this question mark I will end this paper.

Budhism as a military religion, not a creed of cowards

This refers to the revealing DV Editorial of Aug.1, 2007: “Did Budha name enemy of Dhamma & ask his followers to fight & finish Brahminism?” on Budha’s call for “armed struggle” against the “enemies’ of Dhamma whom he identified as Brahminical people.

For the past two years I have been making a deep study of the writings of the Japanese Budhist scholar, Nichiren Daishonin, and I found it the most revolutionary interpretation of Budhism, which the Brahminical people simply twisted out of shape so that its Indian followers are reduced to passive obedience.

So the Editorial for the first time in India’s history lifts the veil of mystery around Budhism and reveals it as a fighting fit military order to establish justice and truth.

In other words Budhism comes out as a military religion, capable of destroying India’s one and the only enemy, Brahminism.

BRAHMINICAL LIES

The excerpts reproduced in DV (p.4) show that Budha remained concerned about transmitting his apprehensions about enemies of Dhamma to posterity through his followers even till the last day of his life. Nirvana Sutra is a commentary on Lotus Sutra as carried out by Sakyamuni Budha on this day. Budha’s conversation with the Brahmin Chunda is part of this commentary. Chunda was the last man who is seen clarifying his doubts with Budha on enemies of Budhism (of Lotus Sutra). It is this particular information that was published in Dalit Voice for benefit of its readers. Even Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar perhaps could not get hold of such a vital information as this, according to some experts.

Dr. Ambedkar is seen repeatedly diving deep through the Vedas and Shastras and through the mountains of Brahminical lies to get at the truth about nature, activities and qualities of the enemies of Bahujans of India, in general and enemies of Dhamma in particular. But Budha is seen giving this information directly in one stroke to Chunda here.

Our Editor kept his fingers on the pulse of ailing society of Bahujans, particularly Dalits for decades like a physician to discover the cause of their disease. Budha supplied the diagnosis here, in one stroke.

AMBEDKARITES MISGUIDED

As we learn from the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, his Budhism is Mahayana Budhism. Much dust is raised in India over the Mahayana versus the Hinyana Budhism controversy to misguide the Ambedkarites. Nichiren Daishonin’s writings explain in no uncertain terms that the Mahayana Budhism was set up by Budha himself, as an improvement upon earlier Theravada (Hinyana) Budhism. Nichiren Daishonin writes that Mahayana was born in the womb of Hinyana and was, therefore, a development and improvement over it. Lotus Sutra is the latest and the highly developed form of Mahayana Budhism virtually overturning even the earlier Mahayana teachings, what to talk of Hinayana teachings.

Ambedkarite entrants into Budhism deny the very existence of Mahayana Budhism in India. It will not be correct to say that they are primarily responsible for this misinformation. It is highly probable that they are kept in the dark and misinformed by the “sole intellectual class of India” who seem to be at the back of spreading lies on which they normally thrive.

It is the Mahayana Budhism (developed into latest Lotus Sutra teachings) that overturns all the earlier teachings of Sakyamuni Budha. That Lotus Sutra teachings are not only not easy to follow but are difficult to even accept, says Nichiren Daishonin.

He says Sakyamuni himself called it bitter medicine, for graver ills of humanity of Later Day of the Law. Men of that evil age will not be cured by ordinary medicines, Budha said. Besides all this Nichiren Daishonin explains Budha’s deep concern about saving his latest and most vulnerable doctrines that he propounded in Lotus Sutra.

ARMED STRUGGLE

It is in the Lotus Sutra that he recounts the type of enemies that can endanger his theories. Not only this, he recounts the means they will employ to obstruct the correct teachings.

In those excerpts reproduced in DV, Budha is discussing/diagnosing the type of enemies who can attack his teachings. He is asking his followers particularly those in the Latter Day of the Law, to arm themselves and protect the teachings at any cost. These should be protected not only by sacrificing their worldly possessions, but also with their lives. That alone will be counted as Dhamma says Budha and this is what the excerpts clearly brings out. Like a true disciple of Budha and having himself attained the title of Budha of the Later Day of the Law, Nichiren Daishonin lived his mentor’s instructions with his life. He emerges in these writings as a fighter for establishing the correct teaching, as the teachings of Lotus Sutra are called.

In these excerpts, Sakyamuni is urging his followers to arm themselves and punish those who attack the correct teachings as enshrined in Lotus Sutra.

HINAYANA

Actually the Hinyana Budhism that had died in India — not the Mahayana. It will be better to put it this way that the Hinyana Budhism gave way to development of Mahayana Budhism. Right from Budha’s time this process can be seen on its way to development. Babasaheb also refers to a Budhist Sangiti in Ashoka’s times, in which protagonists of Mahayana Budhism (led by Siddhas) prevailed. And as per Dr. Ambedkar’s view also, it was the Mahayana Budhism that emerged as the reigning philosophy of Budhism even in India after this Sangiti.

It is not through arrogance of its protagonists that Mahayana is named Maha (superior) yana, over Hin (lesser) yana, but it was so-called because Hinyana had lived out its potential. As per a universal law, it had undergone a cycle of full development and was ready to be transformed into Mahayana.

That it was not mere arrogance on the part of its protagonists to call it Maha (yana) is also clear from the ongoing development of Mahayana into not only Nichiren Daishonin’s Budhism in Japan but as progressive (Mahayana) forms, one after the other in India.

SIDDHA-NATH-YOGI MOVEMENT

Thus, emergence of Mahayana Budhism was on the cards in India too and so it happened. Siddha-Nath-Yogi movement was development of Mahayana Budhism. Not only its founders and protagonists were all Mahayana Budhists, but also as it passed into Bhagati Sufi movement, its profound Mahayana essence made itself manifest in it. This view is further strengthened when we see Radical Bhagati-Sikh revolutions emerge as phenomenon, from this essence of Bhagati-Sufi movement.

Besides Radical Bhagati and Sikh revolutions, several other offshoots of Bhagati-Sufi movement appeared all over India showing the well known mechanism and pattern in which social phenomenon manifest themselves. This mechanism shows that social phenomenon rarely occur singly at a time, in pure form and in isolation.

SIKH REVOLUTION

They are more often than not accompanied by other minor and major offshoots (appearing from the essence). Thus emerging from Bhagati Sufi movement, Satnami and Bowels movement of Bengal, along with several other minor and local movements elsewhere can be explained away as such offshoots.

The doctrinal basis of all these movements was the Lotus Sutra. It is because as Bhagati movement appeared from the womb of Siddha-Nath-Yogi movement, it developed on the lines of Lotus Sutra. All scholars who will study the Radical Bhagati-Sikh revolution phenomenon will realize that Lotus Sutra doctrines kept on unfolding themselves in more and more fuller forms as these movements advanced from one stage to the other. As Sikh revolution arrived at its culmination point, the total essence of Lotus Sutra started revealing itself.

BUDHISM DID NO DIE

Thus what had phased out from India was not Budhism but Hinyana Budhism. Brahminism took to propagating this erroneous view that Budhism has died in India. By the time Tulsi Ramayana appeared, Brahminism was in the thick of fighting Radical Bhagati revolution.

No sooner Mughal rulers started complying with Brahminism, it stepped up its attacks on ongoing Sikh revolution. All of us should understand the spirit running behind the historical events. Mughal rulers were mere means, for carrying out the ends of Brahminical counter-revolution as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar has brought out in Vol.3 of the Writings & Speeches.

Continuing attacks on Sikhism reveal the truth of our thesis that Sikhism is that part of Budhism which earned the unending ire of Brahminism. Nichiren Daishonin has brought out this enmity beautifully in this volume.

What to talk of India, Brahminical forces penetrated even Japanese Budhist circles also to obstruct teachings of Lotus Sutra as Writings of Nichiren Daishonin reveal, about which we shall discuss later.

Syrian Christian honeymoon with Hindu terrorist RSS

A section of Brahminical Roman Catholic scholars has always been extremely pro-Hindu terrorist RSS. One such slimy creepy crawlies is the late Catholic Upanishad, Vedanta and Sanskrit “scholar”, Father Anthony Elenjimittam alias Bhikshu Isabhodananda who wrote the book, RSS: Bharathiya Samskruthiyude Kaavalsena (RSS: watchdog of Indian culture), way back in 1951. It was a totally Brahminical bullshit book. This cunning fellow was also a “veteran” Fleet Street journalist working in several London newspapers. Bum-licking Brahmins is a big business among Syrian Christians in Kerala and others in Goa as well as Mangalore. Right from the time of Robert de Nobili, the Vatican itself encouraged a policy of going with Brahminical forces.

The king cobras among them are the Syrian Catholics who may also have some Jewish blood running in their veins. The other king cobras are the Jesuits of Goa.

DV must investigate RSS attacks only against pro-Dalit Protestant churches. Jesuits operate in certain areas of Goa, Belgaum dt. (Karnataka) and Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and south Kolhapur dts (MS). There are 140 Jesuits (77 priests, 53 scholastics, 10 Brothers) who work in this region called “Goa province”. It is true they are supporting nomadic tribes also. But the suspicion is they have a secret understanding with the RSS and VHP goons to finish off Protestant pro-Dalit churches.

VHP’s Ashok Singhal is on record saying he likes Syrian Christians and Bohra Muslims. Jesuits run top educational institutions throughout India.

Syrian Research on RSS: A Cochin report talks of a research institution, Sorbonne University, Paris, where Fr. Vincent Kunduklam of St. Joseph Pontifical Seminary, Aluva, Kerala, is doing his doctoral research on “RSS and church in India”. He is the first Christian priest to do a doctoral thesis on the RSS, that too in a foreign university. His Malayalam book, RSS: Enthu? Engot? suggests that the Catholic church must closely study the RSS terrorist philosophy, organisational structure and working of all the socio-politico-cultural movements in the society in which it operates, imbibe the best in them and invite a dialogue on their negative aspects.

He praises the phenomenal growth of the RSS in post-“independent” India with its tentacle firmly rooted in all walks of life, all nooks and corners of the country that kindled his curiosity. In MP, he came across a European who had been doing a doctoral thesis on “Hindu nationalism” in the Sorbonne University.

Brahminised church bows to Hindu terrorists — betraying Dalits

Truth is best expressed in language that is politically incorrect.“ Casteism is terrorism,” Vellore’s Catholic Bishop Chennapa, one of only half a dozen Dalit Bishops in India, said at a meeting of the All India Christian Council in New Delhi’s Indian Social Institute in May. Earlier in September, Chennapa, the only Indian Bishop at Durban’s United Nations World Conference on Racism, had told just about the same thing to India’s women permanent representative at Geneva, who was the brain of the official delegation to the meeting. Loyal Government servant and upper caste, the lady lost her diplomatic cool. “You Christians too have caste discrimination,” she burst out. “Madame”, replied the 65- year-old Bishop, “we learnt it from you.” End of interaction.

DALAI LAMA CRITICISES DR. AMBEDKAR

The government used all its diplomatic might to ensure that the Inter governmental meeting document at Durban did not mention caste, even if the NGO Forum’s document devoted a dozen paragraphs to it, and even if UN Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson, UN Secretary General Kofi Anan and South African President Mbeki found caste to be worth an international airing.

Chennapa, for 40 years a fighter against caste discrimination within the church and the community and currently chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India’s Commission on SC/ST, was for a brief while on stage with Ramdas Athawale, the RPI member of Lok Sabha from Maharashtra.

Neo-Budhists (Ambedkarites) were never accepted by the other sects, particularly Tibetan Budhists.

Even the Dalai Lala has many times spoken against conversions endorsing the RSS edict against freedom of faith. When Dr. Ambedkar made his decisive move, the Church was neither theologically nor politically equipped to make a response to the historical event. It would have been unthinkable for the hierarchy to even listen to a man who had challenged M.K. Gandhi on his ideology and his practices. The fact that Dr. Ambedkar wrote the Constitution of India (which gave Christians and Muslims the protection of freedom to practice preach and propagate their faith and the protection of Article 30, for their institutions, among other things) did not necessarily bring the establishment-loving hierarchy of the Catholic and protestant churches any closer to him, much less the still nascent evangelical world whose British and American ancestry and fixed focus on the sinful soul and not the suffering body ensured that they did not even look at the matter.

CASTE-BASED CHURCH

Fifty years, the Second Vatican Council and the Laussane convention later, it is a moot question if the Church is any the more alive to the great churning that is taking place in the Dalit world, particularly after their success at Durban in making Dalit into an international Noun.

There is, of course, the matter of guilt. Church, whatever be the denomination, has still not exorcised itself of the devil of caste. The southern states are full of horror stories narrated by priests and nuns of discrimination within the church.

There are still only half a dozen or less Dalit Bishops in the 150 dioceses even though the Dalit population in the community may be closer to 60%, and as high as 80 to 90% in states such as AP, TN, Gujarat and Punjab.

Aspirants for a religious life speak of parish priests who refuse to give the certificate required for admission into a seminary. Others speak of caste loyalties in religious orders. The laity outside of TN and AP revels in its ignorance or is ashamed of its roots for fear of ridicule from both ‘high caste Catholics’ and non-Christians in their secular society. That is in the Catholic Church.

BRAHMINISM AS ROOT OF EVIL

Among protestant groups, several churches are entirely caste based. Some denominations close their eyes and say they are not just concerned about caste and a few others are proud of their alleged Brahminical ancestry and preen themselves every time the RSS and the rest of the Sangh Parivar extols their “Indian-ness”.

Durban also exemplified another dilemma. Even among those who want to talk about the Dalit issue, there is a reluctance to talk about the causative factors, the historical injustices, the tenets of Manu, the law Giver, and how in many parts of India, Manu Smriti and not the Constitution of India is the statute that is implemented. There is, it seems, a reluctance to identify Brahmanism as the root of the evil, and Hindutva, whichever political group it hides in, as the current agency of aggression. At its funniest, this tendency to identify with the upper castes is most visible in the enculturation that is so much a part of contemporary liturgical reforms. Almost without exception, the liturgical experimentation is in the adaptation of Brahminical prayer forms. No energy has been spent even researching the Dalit and tribal forms of worship and trying to see how best they can be incorporated in a Christian thanksgiving at Mass or in other prayers.

Initiators of Inter faith dialogue even at the highest levels see no harm in calling in a few “high” priests and jointly reciting a few vedic mantras with them. I am yet to hear of a major inter faith dialogue involving Ambedkarite Budhists or Dalits and tribals of other persuasions.

At its politically most criminally naive, this reluctance to challenge the Hindutva thesis becomes evident in moves that give legitimacy to the worst parishioners of Hindutva, the leaders of the RSS, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal. The Dalits have called them terrorists. The Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the Communists have branded them murderous and anti-democratic ideologies.

CHRISTIANS PRAISE R.S.S.

But for some church leaders, either worried about their FCRA accounts, their corruption or their institutions, or actually identifying themselves with the caste and Hindu terrorist forces represent the one reality with whom they want to engage in dialogue.

One such group, which shall go nameless, its minutes honoured the Hindu terrorist forces by affirming that “the RSS as an organization has emerged as a representative of this confluence. The RSS has its strong network all over the country. The time has come for us to recognize it as one of the forces related to Hinduism.” The church group of course did not ask the RSS its position on caste and Manu Smriti. RSS chief Kuppahalli Sudershan was more faithful to his tenets. He said no Indian could become a Hindu, because by being born in India, every Indian is a Hindu and that this is the understanding of the RSS. Sudershan also kept the focus firmly on conversions. Conversions, another word for freedom of faith, is a preoccupation not just of the RSS but of the entire Hindu terrorist stream in Indian polity which exists even in the Congress and which had fought an unceasing war with the great Jawaharlal Nehru. Ever since 1950, there has been a systematic effort, through Parliament and the courts and largely through the administrative machinery, to curtail the freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution.

COURTS SUPPORT HINDU TERRORISTS

The Presidential Order of 1950 on the affirmative action for Dalits effectively banned their freedom to choose their religion, retaining them firmly in the Brahminical stranglehold. The Niyogi commission was set upto malign the church, and was followed by the so called Freedom of Religion Bills in MP, Orissa and Arunachal. Not surprisingly, both the Centre and several of the states have tried many times in the past three decades to bring forward more such laws. Courts have interpreted freedoms under Article 30 and have put severe restrictions on minority institutions in matters of administration. In the states, curbs are sought to be placed on schools, orphanages and other institutions. The list is unending if one sits down to identify the erosions that have taken place in the implantation of the constitution since Jan.26, 1950 when the document drafted by Dr. Ambedkar in the Constituent Assembly was promulgated as the law of the land. The demonisation of the minorities, which we have seen in the post-Durban and post- New York World Trade Tower attacks, is inevitable.

MASS CONVERSION HATED

Their first response has been to say that Budhism is nothing but another sect of Hinduism, much as they said Sikhism is just another sect. If this be so, Dalits joining Budhism would at best be a movement between sects, no threat at all. The Sikhs protested when their identity was sought to be hijacked, and so have the Budhists, maintaining that they are distinct religions with their own way of life, their own identity, and their own cultures. The second and cunning response of the Hindu terrorists has been to try to bind the church into disowning freedom of faith at a mass scale.

Conversion by one man is okay, it says but not by many more. In their several encounters with religious heads of several churches, who they cornered into dialogues through the self-appointed champion of the BJP govt., the National Commission for Minorities, the Parivar has almost forced them into denouncing conversions and foreswearing any future activity. This is the impression one gathers for want of a detailed narrative of what transpired in the many meetings. We all maintain there are no forced conversions, nor any that are induced by money. That is a proven fact, and theologically indisputable.

But will we reject a group that seeks entry just because its numbers are large? Meenakshipuram was a watershed when an entire village converted to Islam. It led to bloodshed with govt. agencies conspiring in a Brahminical backlash. This is not about some fly by night religious guerrillas who may want a bite or two of the cake. The church at large has to ask itself serious questions. Will faith and mission be overawed by the fear of government-sponsored terror? Will we be co-opted once again by the establishment, the Brahminical hierarchy now dictating the identity of the nation, perverting its secular ethos and rewriting its history? How far are we — India’s Dalit Church — ready to go in obedience to our own solidarity with the poor and the Dalits? Post-Durban, are we ready to respond to the Dalit request that our schools cater not to the elite of Bombay and New Delhi —who treat us like we were teaching shops and therefore have no qualms in persecuting the church — but for Dalits in rural areas. Not Low Cost Schools for Low Caste People, but real, high quality English medium schools which will allow Dalit children to find their place under the sun in the modern age? The answers have to be given soon.
