Manuwadi media victim

SULTAN IBRAHIM

It was a surprise that Lalu got so many seats after all. So ruthless and one-sided was the campaign against him by the Brahminical media. Nobody ever spoke of the empowerment he has brought about to the "low castes" and Muslims though it is true that he didn't bring about much "development". In a way defeat of Lalu is good for the "poor". They can now engage in struggle for social justice — this is a thing that didn't happen much during Lalu's rule. The state cannot bring about change without social pressure. So, let the "poor" of Bihar join this struggle either using the RJD platform or why not join the Maoists who have already emerged as a powerful force in the state? Dalit Voice had an article , may be 10 years ago by the ex-editor of a major Hindi daily (Navabharat Times), Bihar edition. He was saying his management forced him to reduce circulation against a huge demand for the same in the market. Because people were buying it as it took an objective stand on Lalu as opposed to the hostile stand of the rest of the media. I would love to see this article reproduced in DV. MALAYALAM TRANSLATION GETTING READY

Caste book is atom bomb

RAJU THOMAS, PO BOX 2296, MADRAS - 600 023

I am still unable to explain how it happened in my life. I have undertaken a very noble task of translating your book, Caste — A Nation Within the Nation (Books for Change, Bangalore, 2004). The entire credit goes to Brother Manjoor Gopalan who pushed me into this. I have never undertaken such a risky task. I discussed about its translation both with Manjoor Gopalan and Dalit Bandhu N.K. Jose who are doing in Kerala what you are doing at the national and international level.

Joy of translation: I now feel extremely sorry and I regret that I did not undertake this work earlier. I am over 53. This is the first time in my long 26 years of Dalit service that I have undertaken such a major task. Originally you had asked me to entrust the work to Manjoor Gopalan but he put the work on my shoulders. It took three weeks for me to complete your "Introduction". I have read all the Volumes of Babasaheb and you know that I can remember any Volume and any page on any issue. I never had any difficulty in digesting the works of Babasaheb. But it was indeed a difficult experience. In the "Introduction" you have poured out your whole mind, whole heart and whole spirit.

Annihilating Brahminism: I don't know if any of our DV family members has rightly and properly understood this book. Had they understood it there would have been hundreds of workshops, seminars and conferences all over India, one after another, on this book. You only took the initiative and we had one workshop in Bangalore, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Shimla, Chandigarh. Though I have read the whole book twice and actually participated in three workshops, it is only now I have really grasped the essence of the book while doing the translation. This book is not an ordinary bombshell but the most powerful, destructive atom bomb on the Hindu pyramid — variously called Hinduism, Brahminism or Hindutva. I do not think that you need to write anything more to annihilate our Enemy.

Hindu terrorists know the danger: If our people — the Dalits, BCs, Tribals and the non-Hindu religious minorities — understand at least 20% of the book, I am sure we will have a revolution about which Babasaheb only dreamt. Perhaps you are the one who is directly ordained to trigger such a revolution. The destiny of India is going to be decided by this book.

To me this is like an infant sucking its mother's breast. My blood is boiling and my heart has become like a volcano which may burst once the book is published in Malayalam. I can face any Hindu terrorist in India and I can make him eat dust. Each word in the book may be compared to an atom bomb.

Manuwadi marxists: Our people in Kerala need not deliver any speeches. Just take your book, go to the microphone and start reading it. That is enough. Revolution will take place. The logic and the argument you have putforth in the book is something superb. Each chapter is so convincing.

The Hindu terrorists know the danger of your "caste identity" thesis because they have studied the book and understood it. But those who are going to be benefited by the book have not understood the worth of the book. It is not their fault. They cannot understand your dreams, your vision and your agony. Manuwadi marxism has killed the best brains among Dalits and BCs.

I have a few more pages to complete. And I will sit with Manjoor and Dalit Bandhu for a final touch. In the whole state of Kerala only the late T.K. Narayanan and V. Prabhakaran could translate your works appropriately. Now, I am also trying to rise to their level.

Ravi Shankar & his Hindu terrorist connections

MARTIN MACWAN & FRIENDS, CHRISTI VAS KHEDA, GUJARAT - 387 411

We as regular readers of DV appreciate your ruthless ways of exposing the Dalit enemies. We have all praise for your ingenuity in aptly naming them.

Gujarat will remain for several years the favourable breeding ground for Hindu terrorists. We are three graduate Dalit Christians of Kheda. We are not certain about the exact issues when you dealt with "Sri Sri" Ravi Shankar of the Art of Living, Bangalore. You called it "Art of Deceiving".

He often goes abroad and brings lots of funds for the Hindu terrorists. Most of his funds are kept in foreign banks. Our question to our foreign well-wishers is: aren't they aware of his anti-national crimes? Through this letter we are disclosing the nexus between Chief Minister Modi and Ravi Shankar — both sowrn enemies of Dalits. We visit all major towns of Gujarat and we are alarmed to see the mushrooming of his institutions. Hence through DV, we are warning the intelligence agencies of the govt. and other foreign well-wishers of Dalits. When in March 2005, Modi was refused visa by the US Govt., it was this Brahmin from Bangalore who made a hue and cry about granting him a visa. Ravi Shankar is the enemy of Dalits and hence the enemy of India.

STRATEGY FOR NEXT ELECTION

Kovena

The single biggest group in Parliament today is that of SC/STs with 122 reserved MPs who can make and unmake any govt. Without this group, the upper castes, who have hardly 80 MPs, can form no govt. The Brahmin strength in Lok Sabha has sharply come down. It will further shrink. Upper caste parties led by the original Brahminical party, Congress, and its child, the Hindu terrorist BJP are dying. Even the Manuwadi marxists are fading. Regional and caste-based parties are coming up fast, as predicted by Dalit Voice.

Future belongs to such parties. Hence the need for the over 85% Bahujan forces (SC/ST/BCs and Muslim/Christian/Sikhs) to unite in each region and form regional parties keeping out the minority upper castes (15%). The strategy is that no upper caste party should be allowed to walk way with our reserved seats. SC/ST candidates should not contest reserved seats on tickets issued by the upper caste parties. Bahujan candidates should be selected by Bahujans themselves. This is difficult but not impossible. If this is ensured, no party can get 100 parliament seats or 25% of seats in any State Assembly. Bahujan candidates getting elected by the upper caste parties are useless. Why should we vote for them? Today's Bahujan parties are also useless. They have no rural foundation. They are living as beggars at the doors of the upper caste parties. We have to form regional Bahujan parties and then organize our cadres.
