Mayawati follows good old dictum : "Brahmins are bad masters but good servants"

Sister Mayawati organising a "Brahmin rally" in UP and assuring them full support, giving up her Bahujan Samaj Party's old anti-vaidik hatred has created a "big controversy" in the media. We are bombarded with questions from the internetwalas and asked to answer Mayawati's "sudden love" for the once hated community.

We have made our stand very clear that we are not answerable to what political leaders do - even if that leader is a Dalit. Politicians have their own strategies and tactics to catch votes and win elections. In W. Bengal, the red hot Marxists offered CPM ticket to Marwadis - considered "class enemies" - in the just concluded Calcutta Municipal Corporation election.

"At least 14 rich Hindi-speaking candidates, a majority of whom belong to the rich Marwadi community, have been given CPM ticket... ". (Times of India, Delhi, June 19, 2005).

"Traitor to Ambedkarism": None questioned the CPM stand because they are the "Socialist Brahmins" but when Mayawati, an Untouchable, gave shelter to Brahmins in distress, neglected by all other political parties, "Socialist Brahmins" and their running dogs started running amok biting every passerby.

We were flooded with questions asking us to explain the "behaviour" of Mayawati whom they dubbed as traitor to Ambedkarism.

Dalit Voice has its own ideological line of thought and action -perfected in the course of the past 25 years. Though Kanshi Ram is our close friend and we supported him always, we never joined BSP because an editor, if he has to remain an impartial critic of men and matters, has to be above party politics. So we are not answerable to what Mayawati (BSP) does.

Since her latest Brahmin conference has created so much of fury and flutter in "Socialist Brahmin" circles and there is an attempt to put us on the defensive, we thought of answering her handful of critics who themselves are proven bumlickers of Brahmins.

Brahminical parties dying: It is now fairly clear that no single party can come to power in Delhi. The three Brahminical "national" parties - Congress, BJP and CPM-CPI - are dying. They must - because India is not a "nation". And anything "national" has to go.

The future belongs to regional, caste-based parties. This has been made clear in DV umpteen times.

The latest Vajpayee-led NDA Govt. was a "coalition of castes". So too the current UPA-led Manmohan Singh Govt. Even in different states, caste coalitions have become the order of the day. Maharashtra and Karnataka are good examples. Dalit-Bahujans have killed the "national" parties.

UP's big Brahmin population: At the same time Dalits alone cannot capture political power. That is why the "Bahujan" concept was formed. No single jati can form a govt. in any state even if it is Dalits (20%). It has to be a coalition of castes wedded to the principle of caring and sharing - assuring proportional representation to every section. This is Ambedkarism.

But in UP, India's politically most important state, Brahmins form a big chunk. Their national average is 3% but in UP the Brahmins exceed 10%.

Despite decades of Brahmin rule, there are still some Brahmins who are "poor" - though poverty is not the problem of India or for that matter Brahmins.

Chamar power: If any political party wants to win the elections in UP, it cannot do so without the support of Brahmins who beside being numerically strong are also a vocal lot with gods in their pocket.

Having covered 60 years in Ambedkarite path, politically the Dalits have acquired good lot of strength. In economic, cultural and social fields they may be still slaves, but politically they have become a force. In UP, the Chamars are a powerful, united fighting force -thanks to Dr. Ambedkar.

Today, the UP Chamars are in a position to assure protection to Brahmins who have come begging before Mayawati's door. It is the Brahmins in distress who are asking her to give them protection and not vice versa.

Remember, it is the Brahmins who came to her as beggars, in dire distress. They say every other party has let them down. Dalits, as the lowest of the low and having experienced the worst suffering at the hands of the very Brahmins, cannot say no when the very tormentors come begging before us for protection.

Dalits alone can protect Brahmins: Brahmins as the Bhoodevatas, masters of the society, and the most alert people know much better than others that none other can offer them protection except the Dalits who alone have the capacity and the heart to extend such a protection.

No other community in India, including the Brahmins, has produced an intellectual giant like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, hailed as the "Father of India". Every other leader, including their own "Father of the Nation", has only misled the Brahmins and the other communities. J.L. Nehru is hated by his own Pandit jati.

Dalits like the Brahmins and Muslims are an all-India community. The Brahmins are just 3% but Dalits are a formidable 20%. Together with their Tribal brothers, they become the country's single largest force (30%). To whom else the Brahmins can go for protection except the Dalits? Remember the popular saying:

"Brahmins are bad masters but good servants".

Mayawati is taking them only as servants and never as masters.

History takes new turn: Brahmins have been taunting Dalits saying that Dalits might turn oppressors, worse than Brahmins, once they become the rulers.

Mayawati has proved Brahmins wrong. Brahmins are convinced that Dalits are the only people who can be trusted. Because having suffered centuries of mental and physical torture at the hands of Brahmins they will never, ever be oppressors. Dalits are the one and the only people in India with the kindest heart and the broadest vision. No other community, not even the BCs, can be trusted. Look, how the history of India has made a right-about-turn because of Ambedkarism.

Ambedkarism as applied to politics: Brahmins thought and thought and finally decided to seek the protection of Dalits. And as a Dalit and also a woman Mayawati extended her helping hand -on the condition that they will remain as the servants and followers of Dalits. What Mayawati did was perfectly in accordance with Ambedkarism - as applied to vote politics.

People like us, outside vote politics still wedded to Babasaheb's ideology, may not go for such an alliance of expediency because we care more for moral, ethical and ideologically upright principles. But politicians are made of different stuff. They are guided by the sole motive of wining the elections by hook or crook.

Mayawati is a politician and politician's sole pre-occupation is how to win the election and come to power. Mayawati's action is that of a politician but at the same time purely guided by the Ambedkarite philosophy of giving protection to all those who come begging for genuine protection.

What has happened in UP is a big blow to Brahmins and their arrogant Brahminism. Their own Brahmana Jati Party (BJP) has failed them. BJP is in utter confusion. The Congress, the original Brahminical party of India, is dying. Whom else the Brahmins can approach for shelter except the Dalits, whose party (BSP) is a formidable force in UP, the country's principal state where the Brahmins are a big force?

The Brahmins committed the biggest mistake of trying to destabilise the Constitution of India. During the oppressive Vajpayee regime there was a conspiracy to discard the Constitution and impose the presidential system of govt. which the Brahmins considered favourable to them. But they did not succeed. They did not succeed because they did not know India and did not study Dr. Ambedkar.

India is not a "nation". It is a country of several "nations". No single "nation" can rule India. If the Brahmins think they can rule, riding roughshod over the rest, the country will go to dogs. Already India has become a famous beggar nation and a laughing stock of the world. The credit goes to Brahmins and Brahmins alone for creating this mess and making the country ungovernable.

Mayawati protects Constitution: The cow belt Brahmins have finally realised their mistake and that their salvation lies in throwing their lot with Dalits - the only community which can be trusted.

Mayawati has great regard for the Constitution and warned the Brahmins not to destabilise the Constitution and thereby India but to come under the protective wings of Dalits.

Call to Muslims: But remember, the Brahmins are taken as servants and not masters. The trust reposed in them should not be misused. The UP experiment is watched with great interest. Muslims can straight away join this new alliance.

All these years the Brahmins have been asking the Muslims "to join the mainstream" while they themselves kept out this "mainstream". Mayawati has now asked Brahmins to join the "mainstream" and stop their destabilisation drive. The cow belt Brahmins finally understood the significance of her advice and agreed to join as servants of Dalits.

Fallout of "caste identity": From now on they are under watch. If they get the good-conduct certificate, it is they who stand gain - not the Dalits. And the UP pattern may be extended to other parts.

Mayawati has inaugurated a new caste equation in Indian politics - an experiment worth watching with great expectations.

The Brahmins surrendered before Mayawati because they were alarmed by the awakening of Dalits and other Bahujan castes. The Brahmin surrender before Dalits is the direct result of "caste identity" and caste consolidation.

Hallucinations: We do understand and appreciate the mental tensions the thinking Brahmins are undergoing. Many of the thinking Brahmins are not even getting sound sleep in the night. They are deeply worried that the rising caste consciousness in the country is empowering the deprived Dalit-Bahujans and their jatwalas are fast losing power. Their fear is once they lose their rulership, they will have to lose their property also. Once their caste status, rulership and property are all gone, their fear is that Dalit-Bahujan, victims of centuries of Brahminical tyranny, may retaliate and being aliens to the land they may even have to quit the country. All sorts of hallucinations are haunting them.

As victims of Brahminical terrorism, we Dalits can better appreciate their mental agony. It is this mental torture - real or imaginary - that is driving the country's tiny Bhoodevatas to excessive delirium. (Brahminism, V.T. Rajshekar, DSA-2003).

"Jews of India": Anything they touch is becoming mud. Their blue-eyed boy A.B. Vajpayee lost and their own Brahmana Jati Party is in shambles. They engineered anti-Muslim violence but this also did not work. The Sindhi Khatri who was riding the anti-Muslim wave is today broken hearted and started praising Jinnah. Dalits and BCs within the BJP are in revolt. All their efforts to dub Sonia Gandhi as a foreigner and finish her did not work. The Bahujans voted for Sonia. Everywhere they are suffering a setback.

They have no place to go. No country will accept them. The "Jews of India" are in a terrible crisis. They thought that after killing the "Father of the Nation" there will be no more impediment to their rule. But their dreams got shattered. The rising caste consciousness has finally killed their hopes.

It is under such desperation they rushed to Mayawati and as a Dalit and that too a woman she assured to give shelter to those in distress. We hope with this assurance, the Brahmins will realise that Dalits will never, ever seek revenge.

"Brahmins are bad masters but good servants". Dalits are well aware of this good old dictum, Brahmins must now learn to behave. Dalits are ready to protect the Brahmins provided they work strictly within the Constitution.

The political experiment launched by Mayawati is today confined to UP. But the situation in the rest of India is equally frustrating. The vaidik mischief has brought the country to a standstill. Rather, India is going downhill fast. They must remember that when the country goes down, they too will go down along with that.

DV "caste identity" campaign: The "caste identity" campaign launched by DV has caught the imagination of the whole country. The Brahminical people are opposing it. We want to assure them that they will be given their share in proportion to their population. They should stop putting their hands into our pocket. We assure we will not put our hands into theirs.

Together, let us rebuild this broken house. The Brahmin "merit and efficiency" have ruined India. It did not help the meritocrats themselves.

The Brahmins must open a new chapter. They must get rid of their "sacred" bullshit, their exclusivist arrogance and start studying Babasaheb Ambedkar. The Brahmin salvation lies in Ambedkarism. UP has shown the way.
