Supreme Court must know the supreme truth
OUR CORRESPONDENT
Bangalore: The judges of the Supreme Court, mostly from
the upper caste and urban-born, need to be educated on the most
serious problem that is bothering every citizen of India for centuries.
Such an education is necessary because the two-judge bench of
the SC comprising Justice Ajit Pasayat and Lokeshwar Singh Panta
has taken up a PIL of two upper caste anti-reservation racists
challenging the 93rd constitutional amendment that provides 27%
reservations to OBCs.
The court said:
“It is contended that the adoption of this policy
will divide the country on caste basis. This will have ramifications
for the social and political fabric of the country, and the Court
will consider this issue later.”
SC/ST/BCs are victims of caste: The upper castes (15%),
who alone can be called Hindu, should note that the caste-based
reservations the Constitution provides did not divide the
country on caste-lines. Reservations is one of the instruments
devised by the Constitution-makers to conduct a social engineering
to narrow such a divide.
As far as back as 1936 — over a decade before Indian “independence” — Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar, the Father of India, suffered a setback when
he asked the Hindus to destroy their caste system. A Hindu organisation
withdrew the invitation to Babasaheb on reading his prepared speech
in which he demanded “annihilation” of their Hindu
caste system.
Hindus alone belong to the caste system (varnashram dharma).
SC/ST/BCs are avarnas meaning outside the chaturvarna which
is the Sanskrit word for caste system.
Crushed & enslaved: The Supreme Court judges must read
this speech (Vol.I of Babasaheb Writings & Speeches, 1979).
Then only they will understand how the SC/ST/BCs are the victims
of Hindu caste system and not its creators.
The caste system was created by the Brahminical people to keep
themselves at the apex of the caste pyramid and thereby rule the
land.
The SC/ST/BCs, crushed and enslaved by the caste system, are in
the forefront of all anti-caste movement as the children of Babasaheb.
But it is the Brahminical people, carrying their “sacred
scriptures” on heads, who are preserving and perpetuating
the caste system.
Once the Supreme Court judges know this supreme truth, they will
understand the need for caste-based reservations which will continue
as long as Hindus continue their caste system.

Tamil Dalit scholar Guna released on bail
OUR CORRESPONDENT
Bangalore: Gunashelan, a noted Tamil Dalit scholar, arrested
here three and half years ago for his writings and lodged in the
Bangalore jail, was finally released on bail by the Supreme Court.
Though he was arrested for political reasons he was not treated
as a political prisoner but treated badly by the police and the
prison authorities. Even the Karnataka High Court refused to give
him bail though his bail application came up nine times.
The Editor of DV, an old friend of “Guna” (as he is
intimately known), met him at his residence here on May 26 and
held long talks. Guna was in high spirits.
He was arrested under the Explosives Act for allegedly making
bombs and waging war on the state. Since none of the charges (all
fabricated) were proved, he was not put on trial.
Such cases are in thousands in this great land of ahimsa.
Not even our human rights heroes are bothered about such people
rotting in jail.
Hero of Tamil youth: Author of over 20 Tamil books, Guna
(65) became a hero of the Tamil youth — particularly Dalits — for
disclosing a history-making but unpleasant truth that Tamil Nadu
is ruled by an alien minority but powerful Telugu-speakers.
Do you know that almost all the TN Chief Ministers except Bhaktavatsalam
and Kamaraj were not Tamil speakers? Even Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy,
Karunanidhi, MGR and Jayalalita.
Does it mean that Tamils have proved unfit to govern themselves?
“Tamil nation”, as it was once called by all historians,
today stands intellectually enslaved and this is the cause of the
downfall of Tamils.
DV stands by Guna: This is Guna’s argument which
naturally infuriated the powerful Telugus who punished him by instigating
criminal cases against him. They even concocted a bomb-making case
against him.
In a famous Editorial, “What has gone wrong with Tamils?
Why they allow themselves to be swallowed by alien Aryans?” (DV
Aug.16, 1995), we had discussed the puzzling “nationality
question” before India.
Honest intellectuals called terrorists: The country’s
purest Dravidian and Adi-Dravida state inhabited by its most original
inhabitants, who once offered the greatest hope for the rest of
the enslaved people of India, today are sunk neck-deep in slavery. In
this editorial, we had also referred to Guna’s thesis.
All those honest intellectuals, who pour out their inner-most
thoughts on the agony of the country are called terrorists, criminals
and what not. The Editor of Dalit Voice like Guna belongs
to this category.
Arrested thrice: A former Reserve Bank official in Bangalore,
Guna was arrested along with Prof. Nedunchezhian, Head of Tamil
Dept. of Tanjore Tamil University, Tanjore, who was about to become
its vice-chancellor. Nedunchezhian got the bail from Supreme Court
and was released about two months back.
Guna was arrested three times earlier: (1) under MISA during the
Emergency, (2) under TADA by the Jayalalita Govt. (1995) and (3)
arrested at Salem and kept in jail for 60 days (2001) for distributing
a handbill on Tamil nationality question.
Madani rotting in Coimbatore jail: We have the more famous
case of Abdul Nasser Madani of Kerala who is still rotting in the
Coimbatore jail for about 10 years now. Despite the Supreme Court
direction that Madani be given a speedy trial, the govt. is going
slow and poor Madani is rotting in jail without any charge. (DV
Feb.16, 2002 p.10: “Madani rotting in Coimbatore jail”).
There are thousands of Muslims belonging to the Students Islamic
Movement (SIMI) and other Muslim organisations arrested for being “terrorists” in
jail for years without trial.
But the more notorious terrorists, who are causing the slow death
of India, are paraded and pampered with awards and rewards. This
is India.

AHMEDABAD D.V. WORKSHOP
Gujarat Dalits can be recovered with right social engineering
OUR CORRESPONDENT
Bangalore: The two-day workshop for Gujarat Dalit Voice family
members held at Ahmedabad on May 20 and 21 was, as expected, a
disappointing show. Even out of the 20 confirmed participants not
even 10 turned up — indicating the depth to which the Gujarat
Dalit movement has descended.
Since it was mainly the Dalits who were engaged by the Hindu terrorists
to kill the Muslims during the 2002 “Gujarat Genocide”,
Muslims too kept away despite confirming participation.
So much of distrust has developed between the Dalits and Muslims — though
the country’s two most persecuted nationalities live side
by side in Ahmedabad.
Unlike all other seven DV workshops held in different parts of
India so far, the Ahmedabad event was not a voluntary effort of
our local Dalit family members. We had to organise it from Bangalore
and a Christian Organisation (OM India) came to our rescue to host
the event.
Why Dalits went over to BJP: But the participation of Gujarat’s
two senior-most Dalit leaders — Dr. Rameshchandra Parmar
and Valjibhai Patel — on both the days and their deep analysis
of the causes for the fall of the Dalit movement and the rise of
Hindu terrorist party was the most important highlight of the workshop.
Dalit movement is dying all over India. But in Gujarat it is dead —thanks
to the deep inroads made into it by the Hindu terrorists led by
Narendra Modi belonging to the lowly OBC (Teli/Ghanchi) oil-seed
pressing caste. The powerful Patels, who have both money and muscle,
are waiting to finish him — indicating the furious caste
war going on inside the terrorist party itself. Modi is surviving
only because of the support of L.K. Advani plus the Dalits and
OBCs in the party.
“Caste identity” intact: The Editor had two
days of intensive discussions and separate meetings with selected
Dalit and Muslim leaders.
Finally, he got the happy news that the upwardly mobile Dalits
and OBCs might have gone over to the Brahmana Jati Party ((BJP)
but all those jatis are steadfastly maintaining their “caste
identity”. All the SC/ST/BC castes and subcastes might
have been hinduised by the BJP. But they did not dissolve
their ethnic identities which are in tact.
That means with right strategies and tactics of social engineering
it is possible to recover them back to our fold.
It is for the honest Dalit intellectuals to follow such a social
engineering. It is for the Muslims to win over the anti-Hindu Dalits
so that the social engineering process is speeded up.

FOREWORD
This is a reprint of the Dalit Voice guest editorial
of April 16, 2006 in which Brother Joseph D’Souza, a noted
Christian leader engaged in international levels to liberate Dalits,
brings out a horrifying picture of the cruelties of the caste system
in India, the original home of racism.
It is because of this one person’s painstaking efforts that
Dalits for the first time were able to go to Washington and unmask
the ugly face of racist “Hindu India” (DV Nov.1, 2005
p.5). But India’s Brahminical monopoly media hit back and
there was a tremendous backlash. D’souza was dubbed a Christian
agent out to convert India’s poor Dalits. The Govt. of India
was mum. Except Dalit Voice perhaps none came to the defence
of Brother D’souza.
We had talked to D’souza a couple of times about the need
for our own media without which we cannot make any progress in
our liberation struggle. He fully agreed with us but did nothing.
A great mission that will catapult D’souza into pages of
history will be lost for want of a media.
India is the original home of racism. But outsiders know very
little about the persecution of Dalits, who form the single largest
victims of racism in the whole world.
In this paper, he very effectively sums up the problems the Dalits
are facing and prescribes a 10-point plan to fight the world’s
deadliest sanctified racism sanctioned under its reigning religion
of Hinduism.
We congratulate the author for speaking the Dalit Voice language
and putting the entire Indian church leadership to shame for its
failure on its core mission.
