Dalit elite betrayers of society warned : Condi Rice fate will fall upon you
V.T. RAJSHEKAR

For the Brahminised Dalit elites of India we have a world famous example in Dr. Condoleezza Rice, the new American Secretary of State and the world's most powerful woman leader. In our Editorial of Feb.16, 2005, "America gets ready for war on Iran & North Korea: World leaders and UN sleeping", we had called this celebrated American lady, Condi Rice, as "Black bitch". We had also called Colin Powell, whom she succeeded, as a "dog of US racist rulers".

Ever since we so bitterly criticised Condi Rice, there has been a big debate in the American media about the dazzling rise of Rice and how this became possible in the rampantly racist America.

This debate is very important to India where we have the world's largest concentration of Black Untouchables ÑÊcomprising 20% of its over 1,000 million population ÑÊand also the world's worst victims of racism. If anybody in the world wants to see the most naked form of Apartheid, please come to India, the founding father of racism.

Most obedient bum-licker: L.K. Sharma, the Washington correspondent of the Deccan Herald, writes (Feb.23, 2005) on this American debate which amounts to an almost wholesale indictment of Condi Rice.

The white racist rulers of America tolerated the rise and rise of Dr. Rice only because she became their most obedient bum-licker betraying her Black society which is still hated by the whites. The rise of the Black lady to No. 2 position in US, next only to President Bush, should be the envy of any Black but the Blacks hate her.

Such of those educated, employed, upwardly mobile Dalits in India should note that they too are hated by their blood brothers and sisters for forgetting their roots, the very society from which they came. Though we are not referring to the exceptions among Dalits to the prevailing rule in India, we want to stress that such exceptions are a micro-minority and those who have become the Brahminical bum-lickers form an overwhelming majority.

Dr. Ambedkar becomes "Father of India": It is true that India's Brahminical ruling class encourages only betrayers and bum-lickers. In other words, it is the Brahminical system in which we live that creates bum-lickers. So why blame Dalits? To those who ask such a question, we want to give the shining example of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. M.K. Gandhi and his Congress Party, the original Brahminical party of India, would have given anything to Babasaheb had he compromised. But the Babasaheb never agreed to be a bum-licker. That is how he became not only the saviour of entire Dalits but the "Father of India".

We have said this in greater detail and in our Editorial of Jan.1, 2005 (A New Experiment in Journalism, DSA-2005, pp.28, Rs. 20).

Self-respect: Condi Rice might have gained the whole world and become the "world's most powerful woman" but what is the use of all these achievements when she gained all these at the cost of self-respect? She must note that her own Black brothers and sisters in America hate her. And those in Africa, her ancestral home, are ashamed that the Whites are using this stooge to destroy the Black race. And this Black woman is consciously doing this work of undermining the future of her own Black race.

President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe rightly called her a "slave" to her White masters in Washington. Thabo Mbeki's comments have not yet come.

Don't think the White rulers of America appointed her to the key post without a definite design. Already the Black society is dived on Condi Rice. A micro-minority of Black bum-lickers are praising her but the big majority of angry Blacks are spitting on her face.

Dr. K.R. Narayanan example: India's Brahminical rulers wanted to do the same thing by elevating Dr. K.R. Narayanan, a Black Untouchable from Kerala, to the topmost-post of President of India. But Dr. Narayanan's conscience did not allow him to be a bum-licker. Had he been one, he would have got an extension. Brahminical rulers never like a barking, not to speak of biting dog. They like a loyal puppy that decorates their cosy sofa.

In America, the Black community is ashamed of Condi loyally serving America's most arrogant President. Colin Powell also served the same President as the Secretary of State but still he was kicked out unceremoniously.

If Colin Powell had been a conscientious Black, he ought to have resigned as soon as his Iraq policy was rejected by the White House. He did not. He continued to be a bum-licker. Today, he is hated both by the Whites and the Blacks. The same fate will fall upon Condi Rice. They will use her and finally throw her out like a worn-out doormat.

The examples set by Condi and Colin Powell should warn India's elite Dalits who are running after fair-looking Brahmin girls, and bum-licking Brahmins to gain some little favours. The Dalit society hates all such fellows who escape the trap. Alienation from the community is the price all "successful" Dalits have to pay. Why honest Dalits who follow the path set by their Father, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, are hated but those like Jagjivan Ram or Ram Vilas Paswan are liked?

BSO likes betrayers: A Dalit, like Condi in America, may rise to great heights but such a rise does not accurately represent the general advancement of the Dalit community in India.

A betrayer, a renegade, a bum-licker, a characterless fellow is praised by the Brahminical society. But one with sterling qualities, with such a spotless character like Babasaheb is hated by the society? Why? Because he is a sold-out stuff.

Condi Rice never took any interest in the Black movement even when she was living in her Black slum. She might have been a child prodigy but she was self-centered, interested only in her personal advancement Ð at every stage compromising with the White rulers. We in India have hundreds of such cases among our "educated" elite Dalits.

Dalits in academic field: Particularly, the Dalits in the academic field have been such a thorough disappointment. That is why in India we are not able to produce a second Babasaheb.

Condi rice has no race consciousness. She is not proud of her roots. Nay, she has forgotten her past and today her sole preoccupation is to keep on serving the White rulers loyally even at the cost of self-respect. She is not an angry Black leader like Malcolm X or Louise Farrakhan. She has no sympathy for her Black brothers or sisters. Whether she was leading the National Security Council, her previous post, or now as the Secretary of State, she had hardly any black visitors. They simply don't trust her. Nay. They hate her. She came up solely by bum-licking the White and betraying the Blacks.

What will be the fate of Condi: Do you know what will be the fate of fellows like Condi? The White society will never, ever accept her. Her own society has already rejected her and cursed her. Between two rejections, Condi Rice will fall flat and then repent. But then it is too late.

History has no place for betrayers and bum-lickers. We in India have many such characters who are a shame on Dalit society.

No, we Dalits will not burn Dasam Granth
GURNAM SINGH MUKTSAR, 2 - BHAGAT SINGH NAGAR,B/H BUS STAND, MUKTSAR - 152 026

Dalits must burn the Dasam Granth just as Babasaheb burnt the Manu Smriti, says Balbir Singh (DV Feb.16, 2005 p.5).

But we Dalits are not ready to commit this mistake. Babasaheb had burnt Manu Smriti because it was a historical necessity against Brahminical forces.

But the burning of Dasam Granth is not a historical necessity. Why should Dalits take the trouble of saving the Sikhs? This granth does not appear to be written by Guru Gobind Singh. Its contents do not match the thoughts of the Guru Granth and also that of Guru Gobind Singh barring few parts. All evidences point out that it was manufactured after the death of the guru by the Brahmins to undo the great work of the guru.

Brahmin mischief: We know the Brahmin mischief very well ever since the Aryan invasion.

If the Dasam Granth is against Guru Gobind's life and mission and if it is proved to be against the thoughts of the Guru Granth, why the ruling Sikhs, keeping the panth as their exclusive monopoly, did not burnt it to save the Sikhs? Are the upper caste Sikhs interested in saving the Dalits or even Dalit Sikhs? Upper caste Sikhs have been controlling their religion. So, it is their religious duty to save the Sikhs and Sikhism.

Secondly, if we take this wrong step to burn it, we the weaker sections will have to face trouble from both the Brahminical forces as well as the Sikh ruling class and nobody will come to save us in this caste-ridden society. Nowhere we Dalit Sikhs have cheated our religion. In fact, our forefathers saved Sikhism since its origin and even to this day. Did anybody come to save us?

No more we want to be used as tools to by other's and to save other's interests. However, we shall go through the Dasam Granth. We shall find out its defects and expose it to the world.

Changes in Guru Granth: There are reports that some people are seeking changes in the Guru Granth also. Some Sikhs are crying against it. It is our foremost duty to save the thoughts of Guru Granth. It is our duty to tell the world the origin, meaning and object of the Guru Granth so that the enemies of the Guru Granth are exposed.

I remember that during the height of Sant Bhindranwale movement there was no talk of Dasam Granth. The Brahminical forces had no courage then. I don't agree with the proposal of Brother Balbir Singh. Dasam Granth cannot compared with the Manu Smriti.

Why not all the Sikh intellectuals create a wave against the Dasam Granth? Why don't they fight the Brahminical mischief? We Dalits have been weak from centuries. Upper caste cultural deprivation has sapped our energies. Only since the last 50 years we could get some education and knowledge. We shall have to first strengthen ourselves. We are not ready to die for nothing as we want to be the future rulers. That is why the Dalits must live and live well.

COMMUNICATION
As Sikhs are anti-Dalit why bother about Sikhism?
K.C. SULEKH, 503, SECTOR-15 A, CHANDIGARH - 160 015

The Editor seems to be over-worried about Sikh religion that it is under the attack of Brahminism and dying a slow death. You say that Dalits should treat it as their primary concern to save it. But is that the Dalit cup of tea or within their prowess to undertake such a grandiloquent venture as to purge this helpless religion of the co-opted and corrupted leaders now controlling the Sikh bodies and institutions? They caused so much damage to the original philosophy of Sikh dharma under the influence of the BSO for political gains. It is indeed a tall order and certainly not an issue No. 1 for the Dalits ÑÊSikh or non-Sikh. Themselves in a pitiable condition fighting for their existence, the Dalits have so many other problems and issues to attend to as a first priority. Sikhs as a community have rajas, military commanders, administrative officers, religious and political leaders, business magnates, landlords, thinkers, intellectuals and what not. Don't they have vision and the requisite know-how to set their own house in order? If not, who are Dalits to make them wise or take it upon themselves to dictate to them how it should be and how it should not be?

Babasaheb Ambedkar himself took a fancy for this religion. Weighing all pros and cons of the matters, he had finally rejected the idea of embracing this religion for obvious reasons. My honest opinion is that we as a community scattered all over India need not waste our time and energy to open a front against this community already at loggerheads with the Dalits especially in the rural side.

"Holy" Hindu Kashi turns into Dalit city
Dr. (Mrs). K.K. SIDHU, A/8-3, S.F.S. FLATS, SAKET. NEW DELHI - 110 017.

Guru Ravi Dass was born 628 years ago but over 50,000 people from different parts of India and the world assembled at his birth place on Feb.24, 2005. The Guru Ravi Dass Janamsthan Public Charitable Trust chairman, Sant Niranjan Dass, headed the birthday celebrations. We formed part of a group led by Prof. Gurnam Singh from Punjab. The familiar "Hindu Varanasi" was transformed into Ravi Dass Varanasi. Each man from rickshaw-puller to tea stall owner and a lay person had nothing else to say except to talk of the glory of the great Guru ÑÊwho was the guru of the very founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak.

The Ganga river banks were empty. Crowds were merging on Goverdhan Pur Mandir. I was reminded of his famous verses:

Even prominent and distinguished Brahmins are paying their respects to me by prostrating before me touching my feet. (Ab Vipar Pardhana tihi Kare Dandout Ñ Guru Granth, p.1293).

Abutting the tall stout walls of Banaras Hindu University, Seer Goverdhanpur seemed to frighten even this grand university, built on borrowed concepts. Seer Goverdhan Pur Mandir is located at a distance of a few furlongs only from this Hindu wall. The road leading to the mandir is narrow. Two vehicles cannot cross side by side. Packed from wall to wall, it was enlivened by spirits of Guru's devotees who entered it dancing and singing to the tunes of his gurbani and other compositions rendered in his glory.

Mother of all revolutions: Guru Nanak was so impressed that unlike his present-day blood brothers, Khatris, he set aside all worldly aspirations and launched the world's greatest and the latest revolution. Barring Chinese revolution, built on similar lines, Marxist revolutions nowhere stand near the grandeur of Sikh revolution as Jagjit Singh says in his book, Sikh Revolution. A revolution in Brahminical India has to be the mother of all revolutions.

The devotees' comfort was meticulously looked after to the last necessity. Beds complete with pillow, blanket/quilt were there for everyone with boys running around everywhere to assist. All around the place water reservoirs with flowing taps, never found dry, were raised. Mass bathing places and wash rooms were erected in plenty at several places. This will be Dalit Raj if ever it is realized was my fond hope. See how history is changing. Brahmin beware.

It was Budha's dream. It was Nanak's dream. It was Ravi Dass's dream who seemed to be benevolently beholding us as people sang past his mandir from his high place of residence. My people may have started posing as grand Jats but I grew up in an atmosphere that I am well familiar with stories of Guru's birth and others.

The grand Varanasi show was run under the able guidance of Ballan saints whom we could not meet in spite of our best efforts because they were immersed from head to foot in the function. Success of the function is great tribute to their missionary zeal for which we congratulate them on behalf of Dalit Voice and the Bharatiya Dalit Chintan Sahitya Sangh.

This 15 century Chamar saint had stolen the show from Budha himself. Several kilometers from Goverdhanpur lie the ruins of a Budhist Vihara.

Brahminical mischief: From here, we went to the birth place of the grandest of the Bodhisatva, popularly called Bhagat Kabir, whom Dr. Ambedkar honoured by calling him is Guru. The structure raised at Lehar TaraÑ his birth place is Brahminised. It is replete with Brahminical mischief of depicting his (their enemy's) birth wrongly. But our anguish on seeing this was dispelled as we landed at Kabir Choura where Kabir lived his whole life and spread the message. Though hurt by the corrupted word Chaura (which in Punjabi language means a vandal) from actual word (chauraha (crossing) used with the Kabir's name.

Indeed my visit to Kabir Choura and stay at Ravi Dass was the visit of a person deprived for ages, nay for several births (janam janam) of the holy presence and truthful spiritual discourses.

Destroyer of Sikhism: Varanasi proved to be launching pad of two world famous revolutionsÑ one Budhist and the other Sikh. We had no time to visit the place where Guru Nanak stayed during his discourses with Guru Ravi Dass and Satguru Kabir, both his seniors. However, that place is firmly in the grip of SGPC that will go down in history as the destroyer of Sikh religion.

As expected the Brahminical media completely blacked out the celebrations attended by over 50,000 people. But don't worry Ñwhen our DV "Media Centre" comes up in Delhi we will restore the glory of Guru Ravi Dass.

DEBATE ON ÒMILLENNIUM DEVELOPMENT GOAL
Dalits & Global inequalities
DR. K. JAMANADAS, "SHALIMAR", MAIN ROAD, CHANDRAPUR - 442 402

Dalit Vice (Feb.16, 2005 p.12) carries a nice thought-provoking article by Dr. Bharat Jhunjhunwala, a noted economist. He is not known for his Dalit leanings, though he had participated in DV workshops.
He writes about global economics and how rich countries are exploiting developing countries and giving solace to them by lessening the poverty without caring for increasing inequality. He has also given prescription to remedy the situation and says Kofi Annan is not giving adequate attention to this aspect.

Unfortunately, Dalits can do very little in this matter as they are far away from the corridors of power (except perhaps using Linux instead of Windows all over India). Not only Dalit Bahujans are away from power but are beasts of burden ÑÊ80% of resources are being used by 20% of population whereas 100% people involved in production are Dalit Bahujans, 20% are using 80% facilities of health, sanitation, housing and education.

This inequality is more important for us than the inequalities among the countries of which we can hardly do anything. Slavery, starvation, malnutrition, ill-health, blindness, illiteracy, prostitution, footpath and slum-dwellings, over-crowding, alcoholism, unemployment etc. are all problems typically of Dalit Bahujans.

Poverty not our problem: Just like rich countries mention about poverty but not inequality, our Indian rulers talk only of poverty but never about the increasing social inequality ÑÊthough for years DV has been shouting that poverty is not our problem, and that poverty is not the cause of our suffering and that it is the result of social discriminations (racism) and inequality.

An example of poverty and discrimination can be cited. Uma Bharati as MP Chief Minister on Dec.18, 2003 said (Lokmat Samachar Jan.16, 2004) her mother had to run carrying a load over head because of poverty for 28 kilometers behind a bullock cart, 35 years ago when Uma was just five. Uma tasted poverty but could neither realize it on social level, nor could try to find remedies from the system. She could not realize that it was not just poverty that made her mother suffer. She suffered because of her "low caste" that was the root cause of poverty.

Dr. Ambedkar, as a child, when made to get down from a bullock cart, tried to find out the causes and remedies of social discrimination.

Cow-worshipper and an ardent supporter of Brahminism, Uma Bharati, even after extreme humiliation, could not realize that the Brahminical ideology of graded inequality itself was the cause of her suffering.
Such is the grip of Brahminism on its followers Ñmaking the "slaves enjoy their slavery" and prisoners guard the prison gates. That is how she forgot that she was not Vasundhara Raje and expected that she could get away with arm-twisting Advani.

Social causes of inequality: Communal and caste riots supported by Hindu nazi forces, spreading upper caste dictatorship destroying all democratic processes in the name of development, spreading untouchability and casteism through atrocities, murders, arson and riots, brahminization of education, cow protection, destruction of reservation, rampant consumerization, destroying human dignity of the "low castes", coupled with privatization, globalization and liberalization hardly benefiting the suffering multitudes, starvation deaths in spite of overflowing godowns with rotting foodgrains, extreme caste discrimination seen in relief and rehabilitation measures during the Orissa floods, Gujarat earthquake and recent Tsunami etc. are all external symbols of internal social inequalities.

Dr. Bharat Jhunjhunwala should devote his attention to this aspect and write on social inequalities prevailing in the Indian society rather than the global scenario. But the problem with him is he is an economist who has not lived with the victims of Indian brand of racism and suffered. (kjmndas_cha@sancharnet.in).

Dalit problem is not poverty but racism

Dr. Bharat Jhunjhunwala is our esteemed Brother and supporter. All the four successful DV workshops that we had were not only his brain wave but fully supported by him. He was close to us from his days as professor at the Indian Inst. of Management in the 70s because of his marxist leaning.

Born a Marwadi he is a foreign-educated economist but leads a simple life in Delhi. His interest in Dalits is genuine.

Hungry dogs: As an upper caste, he has not suffered racism (he did not choose his parents) and his training as an economist has made him think on "class lines". Both are not is faults. But he is making serious efforts to learn. He has an open mind. That is great. We have had long arguments with him and we hope to "convert" him to our line of thinking at least to some extent. Because unlike our vaidik scholars, he has no closed mind.

He is more interested in creating a group of "emancipated Dalits" but he does not know that when the wily vaidiks are waiting at every street corner with bones and little meat how can we prevent the hungry dogs falling prey to such temptations? Vaidiks are desperately spreading their net far and wide to corrupt and co-opt our people. That is how in the past 25 years of DV, we could not get one "emancipated" Dalit to assist us in DV.

When top vaidiks like P.V. Narasimha Rao and A.B. Vajpayee were accused of stinking corruption, how to prevent poverty-stricken Dalits falling into the charming net of corruption?

How many attempts were made to co-opt and corrupt us? But we did not fall a prey into this vaidik net. Because as Ambedkarites, we are above all temptations. Brother Bharat can't understand how this Brahminical blackmail operates so subtly. But what we like in him is he is willing to learn.

Poverty is not the problem of Dalits. In fact, poverty is not the problem of India itself. Our problem is Brahminical racism.

The Untouchables are kicked, killed, burnt, raped and their little property destroyed not because they are poor. They are attacked only because of their jati. If poverty is the cause why the "poor" Brahmins are not attacked? Are there no "poor" Brahmins? Brother Bharat can't understand this ÑÊEDITOR.

Akhil Bharat Janajagruti Mahasabha, 279 - Sangh Sena Main Road, New Layout, NR Mohalla, Mysore - 570 007:

The Aryan Brahmins are not of Indian origin but they are from Israel, Germany, C. Asia, Afghanistan, Europe, Kazakstan or Russia. Their DNA analysis confirms this finding. Tests were conducted by the 200 famous gene research specialists. Hence these foreign- origin Aryan Brahmins should not be allowed to occupy any constitutional position in India. At Mysore on 14.6.2004, we conducted a public meeting and held hartal at KR Circle for seven days. These Aryan Brahmins came to India in search of food and then having settled here, they committed aggression against the Moolnivasis. So 98% of the swadeshi of Indian origin are the Dravidians. A Times of India (20.5.2001) report headlined, "Upper caste male more European" by Chidanand Rajghatta, datelined Washington, says:

Ò The upper caste Indian male population is genetically closer to Europeans than the lower castes which are more "Asian", according to a potentially controversial new study being published in the forthcoming issue of the journal Human Genome. The authors of the study say their findings support historical data indicating that West Europeans migrating into India during the last 10,000 years were mostly male. An analysis of the genetic material also shows that the "ancestors of Indian men and women came from different parts of the world", says Michael Bamstad of the University of Utah, who led the research group. The researchers say this difference in gender and genetic make-up may also hold the key to the origin of the caste system. The migrating or invading male population left descendants in the higher than lower castes and may have even devised the caste system, Bamstad said in an interview with this correspondent. Bamstad's study showed each caste's mitochondrial DNA, derived from the mother only has a greater similarity to Asians than to Europeans but the upper castes show less similarity than do the lower castes. Conversely, Y-Chromosome data, derived from the father only, show each caste more similar to Europeans, with the upper castes being most similar, probably because more Eurasian males migrated to India than did Eurasian females. Such a finding could also imply that the women of the sub-continent are more Indian than are men. To "increase the power of the study", Bamtstad and his associates also examined 40 additional genes that are inherited from the father and the mother. All these data supported the conclusion that upper castes have a higher genetic similarity to Europeans than do lower castes, the study says. "These are potentially controversial results". Bamstad said. The study says, genetic distance is closest between Europeans and Brahmins (0.10), followed by Kshatriyas (0.12) and Vaishyas (0.16). The discovery suggests women on occasion marry men from higher castes, producing children with their husbands' social rank, the researchers said, claiming the stratification of the Hindu caste system is driven by women.Ó
