Kerala — victim of Manuwadi marxism
RAJU THOMAS, PO BOX - 2296, MADRAS - 600 023
Dr. Suresh Mane, BSP leader in charge of South India and professor
at Bombay's prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences, has
described V.T. Rajshekar as a friend, philosopher and guide of
his party and asked the party people to read Dalit Voice and his
books.
Welcoming the Editor to the Kerala state conference of BSP leaders
in Kochi on Feb.19, he said he was a product of Dalit
Voice and thousands of Dalits were inspired by DV
which served as the philosophical guide of his party. Editor V.T.
Rajshekar and the party's founder Kanshi Ram were close friends
though the Editor did not join the party to maintain editorial
independence.
Prof. Suresh Mane, a long-standing family member of DV, is a doctorate
in law and a top leader of the BSP.
God's own country: The Editor in a brief speech
said the president of the Kerala unit of the BSP, Saji Joseph,
was once the editor of Malayalam DV. Kerala was being described
as "god's own country" and the country's most advanced
state because of its big strides in economic and educational progress.
"But how can Kerala be called the country's most advanced
state when over 70% of its population comprising Dalits, Tribals,
Backward Caste Ezhavas, Dalit Christians remain as slaves?"
They remain as slaves of Nairs, Brahmins and Syrian Christians
who continue to be the rulers of the state. The real progress of
a society is judged not by its economic and educational stride
but only by its social and cultural progress.
The most important cause of Kerala's backwardness was the manuwadi
marxism. The three tiny upper castes of Kerala have cunningly divided
themselves into two political groups —pro-marxist LDF and
pro-Congress UDF— to continuously fool the slaves by making
them fight with each other.
Most foolish caste: The Backward Caste Ezhavas, Dalits, Tribals,
poor Muslims and Dalit Christians will continue to remain as slaves
as long as they don't kick out both these fronts.
The most foolish caste of Kerala is the Ezhavas, which despite
having the state's single largest population (30%), has not produced
a single chief minister. The tragedy of Ezhavas is the tragedy
of Kerala, he said amid cheers.
DV Feb.1, 2005 p.25: "Nair-Ezhava unity move to check Muslim & Christian
progress".
DV Nov.16, 2002 p.21: "Manuwadi marxist war against Kerala's
rising star of BC Ezhavas"

BRAHMINICAL BID TO ENSLAVE INDIA'S ONLY REVOLUTIONARY FORCE
Many obstacles facing Dalit movement
V.T. RAJSHEKAR
Prof. P.M. Sebastian, teachers and students,
To deliver the first of a series of lectures on "subversive
Dalit debate" you have rightly invited a "terrorist".
I was arrested under the Terrorist Act (TADA), handcuffed and dragged
all the way to Punjab and kept in the Chandigarh jail. This was
in 1986.
Elite colleges like yours nowadays rarely go into such unpopular
subjects. I thank you for taking up the "Dalit subversion" subject
and inviting me to inaugurate the lecture series.
I can tell you that a real authentic history of India can be written
only in letters of blood. You can't write with anything else.
As the Editor of Dalit Voice for 25
years, which is the largest circulated journal of Dalits in the
country, I want to place before you a factual but heart-rending
picture of the Dalit movement in India.
To be honest, we Dalits are in a bad shape. I have just returned
from a tour of UP and Bihar, two of India's largest states, addressing
innumerable meetings of Dalits and I am sorry to tell you that
all over India Dalit movement is in a bad shape.
BULLSHIT
When India itself is neither living nor dead how can the Dalits,
the last and least, be different?
This "India Shining" talk, the stock market boom and
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's boast of 8 to 10% GDP are all bullshit.
(laughter).
So, in the course of my talk I want to place before you the factual
situation of the Dalit movement and why we have not been able to
challenge the Brahminical Social Order which has been identified
as the principal enemy oppressing all the sections of the Indian
society including the Brahmins.
INDIA'S ONLY DYNAMIC & LIVING MOVEMENT
It is true that Dalit movement is the one and the only living
and dynamic movement of the day all over the country. All other
movements died or committed suicide.
(1) Gandhian movement was nothing but an upper caste movement.
It died before it was born. (2) The marxist movement created lot
of confusion, misled the oppressed people and did its best to check
the Indian revolution. (3) The only surviving movement today is
the Dalit movement. We may be divided, weak, yet it is the only
all-India movement challenging the BSO.
Imagine for a moment what would have happened to this country
if only Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was not born in India? SC/ST/BCs
would have all called themselves Hindu and remained as slaves of
Brahmins.
It was Dr. Ambedkar, the Father of India, who created this movement.
The history of pre-independent India was written by Dharma Thirtha,
an upper caste Menon from Kerala. All the copies of his book, History
of Hindu Imperialism, was purchased by Brahmins and
burnt. Periyar E.V. Ramaswamy got it reprinted. Those wanting to
read this book can write to us. (Swami Dharma Theertha, History
of Hindu Imperialism, 2003, Rs. 150, Blumoon Books,
S-201, Essel Mansion, 2286-87, Arya Samaj Road, Karol Bagh, New
Delhi - 110 005).
I am warning you: some of my words may appear too harsh, too strong,
too shocking for you but I can assure it is truth and nothing but
truth. And Truth always sounds harsh. People in pain shout, cry,
weep. I am doing exactly that.
ARYANS AS INDIA'S FIRST FOREIGN INVADERS
India, barring the Budhist period of about 1,200 years which is
described as the "Golden Age of Indian History", has
been always ruled by foreigners. Aryans were India's first foreign
invaders. Then came Muslims, Huns, British, Portuguese, French
and others.
It is only the British, the Christian rule, who gave us some security
and civilisation.
India, therefore, never had a past. How can a country which never
had a past can have a future?
We have been always a quarrelsome people and continue to be so.
A careful reading of the daily papers will convince you that we
have no outside enemy. We are our own enemies. (laughter).
What we are witnessing today is a wholesale aggression on Indian
culture and the only people who are fighting against this Brahminical
aggression are the Dalits.
Muslims, Christians, Sikhs are not fighting the Brahmins. Backward
Castes are not. Only the Dalits are fighting the BSO.
This aggression is found at every level, against every section
of the society and in every corner of the country, every village.
Budhists were the first to resist this aggression.
SHANKARACHARYA KILLED BUDHISM
But the Brahmins finished it. Kerala sent its dwarf Namboodiri
Brahmin, Adi Shankara, to kill Budhism. Brahmins sabotaged Budhism
both from within and without. Adi Shankara literally killed thousands
of Budhists, destroyed Budhist libraries.
Kerala was completely Budhist. Your Maveli was a Budhist. Outside
Kerala, Maveli is called Bali. Your greatest festival of Onam is
in honour of Bali Chakravarti who was killed by a dwarf Brahmin,
Wamana.
After killing Budhism, Brahmins manufactured two cock and bull
stories of Ramayana and Mahabharata that
beautifully helped to hinduise the Bahujans.
The whole country was hinduised (meaning
enslaved) through these two epics. Hinduisation is the other word
for enslavement.
Then came Christianity. After that Islam. Then Sikhism was born.
DALIT MOVEMENT IS FREEDOM MOVEMENT
These three egalitarian religions liberated the enslaved Dalits
and Backward Castes and about 20% of India got liberated through
these three religions.
In Kerala, it is as high as 55%.
It is the advent of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar that inflicted the greatest
blow on Brahminism. That is why we call Dr. Ambedkar as the Father
of India — he gets the highest place in this country.
Gandhi is only the "Father of the nation". Whichnation?
The nation of Hindus — just 15%.
BRAHMIN CONSPIRACY AGAINST DR. AMBEDKAR
Dr. Ambedkar gave the shape and content to the Dalit movement.
In fact, Dalit movement is India's real freedom movement which
pre-supposes that the Bahujans of India are not yet free from Brahminical
slavery. It was Babasaheb who for the first time identified our
principal enemy. Identifying our enemy-oppressor was his greatest
contribution.
The Brahmins rightly thought they would not be able to counter
Dr. Ambedkar. So, they groomed a cunning non-Brahmin, a Bania,
to counter Dr. Ambedkar. And that person was Gandhi.
Gandhi inflicted the greatest blow on the Dalits when he went
on a fast-unto-death against Dr. Ambedkar's demand for separate
electorate.
Separate electorate would have made Dalits a powerful force independent
of Hindus. By giving them a powerful say in the governance of India,
Dalits would have made India healthy, wealthy and wise.
Fearing that separate electorate would make Dr. Ambedkar India's
first PM they conspired to make Gandhi to go on a fast unto death.
The Brahmins also feared that Dr. Ambedkar's plan would deprive
the Brahmins of ruling India after "independence" and
converting it into a Hindu Rahstra.
For your information RSS-BJP was never a force in India. In Kerala,
even now it is not a political force.
But Gandhi and his Gandhism is a mighty forces. Perhaps I am the
only person to survive in India criticising Gandhi and his gandhism.
Even today.
It is Gandhi who gave a new life to Hinduism and made Brahmins
as the principal ruling class of India. This credit goes to Gandhi —not
RSS-BJP. Please note this point.
It was Gandhi who elevated the cow and called it go-mata. It was
Gandhi who made us hate Muslims and Christians. If Christians don't
believe what I say read Gandhi's own book on Christians. (M.K.
Gandhi, Christian Missions, Their Place
in India, Navajivan Publication, Ahmedabad - 380 014, 2000, Rs.
50).
Hinduisation of India was Gandhi's sole mission. His Congress Party
launched the "freedom struggle" to make Brahmins as the
rulers of India.
WHO KILLED GANDHI ?
Finally, Gandhi succeeded in installing a Brahmin, Nehru, as PM
and the moment the Brahmins took over the leadership of India the
first work they did was to kill the Mahatma.
Gandhi was not killed by a Muslim, Christian, a Sikh or any SC/ST/BC.
He was killed by a Brahmin. Read my book, Why Godse
Killed Gandhi? (DSA-1997).
So, the credit for permanently damaging the Dalit movement goes
to Gandhi.
Dr. Ambedkar's demand for separate electorate had the blessings
of the British, meaning the Christians. Muslims and Sikhs also.
Even the BCs. Everybody supported the separate electorate except
Gandhi.
I have no time to explain what is meant by separate electorate.
If we Dalits had secured separate electorate, which was enjoyed
by Muslims, Christians, Anglo-Indians etc. before "independence",
there would have been a wonderful unity of Bahujans (85%) and the
Muslims would never have demanded Pakistan, India would have remained
united and strong. Brahminism would have been dead by now.
DALITs BECAME SLAVES BECAUSE OF GANDHI
But the top brains among Brahmins conspired and sabotaged the
separate electorate and thereby destroyed India's unity and later
divided the country and made India a warring nation. A failed state.
Today, India has become a beggar nation —a laughing stock
of the whole world.
Dalits today have become slaves of Hindus because of this one
treacherous act of Gandhi.
Reservation in jobs, education and reserved seats, which came
in place of separate electorate, have made us Hindu.
But the fact is the Untouchables and Tribals are not Hindu and
were never Hindu.
MARXISM AS ENEMY OF DALITS
Gandhi made us Hindu and the slaves of Hindus.
As the Editor of DV fighting against these Hindus, who are a micro
minority being less 15% of the population, we don't know if we
can save ourselves and also save this country. We are in a critical
position.
Having said this much I have to briefly touch the marxist movement.
I too was a marxist and perhaps until 1970 when I wrote the book, How
Marxh Failed in Hindu India (DSA-1988).
Marxism had the potential to support the Dalits and bring about
a revolution but I am sorry to tell you marxism came as our enemy
in at least three states of India - Bengal, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
I have explained in detail about the harm caused by marxism to
Dalit movement in four books:
(1) How Marx Failed in India? (2) Class-Caste
Struggle, (3) Dilemma of Class and
Caste, (3) Karl Marx and Dr. Ambedkar.
All these books are sold out after going into several reprints.
Some have been translated to Malayalam also.
EZHAVAS ENSLAVED IN KERALA
In Kerala, the Brahmin-Nair leadership of CPI-CPM used the state's
single largest community of Ezhavas, who form 30% of the state
population, and kept them as slaves.
Marxism also killed the Dalit movement and hinduised the
Ezhavas. It diverted our attention from Brahminism to an imaginary
enemy. It misguided the revolutionary forces.
Nowhere in India we had any clash between the rich and the poor
either before "independence" or after that. But the upper
caste marxist leadership cunningly diverted the attention of the
toiling masses from the real enemy to the imaginary enemy.
ADI SHANKARA & MODERN SHANKARA
If the Adi Shankara of Kerala killed the Budhist movement earlier
E.M.S. Namboodiripad, whom we have described as the "Modern
Shankara", destroyed the Bahujan movement in Kerala.
CPM and CPI used the Ezhavas but successfully denied the chief
ministership to Gowriamma and Achutanandan, both top Ezhava leaders.
Gandhi did considerable damage to Dalit movement before "independence" and
marxism did considerable damage after "independence".
Every word I speak is part of history and verifiable.
THREE JATIS CONTROLLING W. BENGAL
In W. Bengal, where the marxists are ruling for the past 10-15
years, just three tiny jatis control the state while denying any
representation to Dalits, Muslims and BCs. These three jatis form
just 8% of the population.
Having said this much, I have to now go into the many obstacles
facing the Dalit movement in contemporary India.
Dalit movement no doubt is the only living, dynamic movement of
the country today though it is very much splintered and dispirited.
We admit this.
The sole cause for this sad state affairs is the interference
of Brahminical people in every field of our activity. They are
meddling in the Dalit movement and blocking our progress at every
step.
BRAHMINICAL SABOTAGE OF BUDHISM
You will be convinced of this argument if only I give you some
specific instances of Brahminical meddling in our day-to-day lives.
Are we Dalits interfering in the lives of Brahmins? When we are
not doing, why should the Brahmins meddle with our lives and make
us miserable?
(1) Babasaheb Ambedkar disgusted with Gandhi's treachery and unable
to resist the hinduisation drive, meaning
enslavement of Dalits, embraced Budhism.
But Brahminism started meddling there also.
Particularly in Maharashtra, where Dalits went over to Budhism
in a big way, reservation meant for SCs were denied to Dalit Budhists
for decades. The Hindu terrorist party of RSS established a Budhist
unit to mislead the Budhists and take them back to Hinduism and
slavery.
The RSS went on preaching ahimsa and vegetarianism. It campaigned
against beef-eating which is our cheapest, tastiest and the healthiest
food. Both Budha and Dr. Ambedkar were meat-eaters. The only evil
motive behind this vegetarianism is to deprive our only protein-rich
food and make us weak—physically and mentally.
They brought one Marwadi Hindu, called S.N. Goenka, who established
his multi-million dollar empire of Vipassana Centre
(meditation) to mislead the elite Dalits so that their attention
turned away from revolutionary activity.
Goenka wants us to be busy doing meditation – a pastime
of the rich and well-fed.
R.S.S. SWALLOWs BUDHISM
While Bodh Gaya and other Budhist historical places continued
to be under Brahmin control, our fear is that RSS and the Hindus
will soon take over Ambedkarite Budhism itself and make it part
of their Hinduism. Not only that. The entire Ambedkarite Budhists
may become part of the RSS. This is our fear. We Budhists are meeting
at Nagpur in September and discussing this danger from Hindu terrorists.
If such a thing happens it will be the greatest blow to Dalit
movement which is already very weak. Dalit movement is the only
last remaining resistance movement against Brahminism. If Dalit
movement is also destroyed, once again Brahminism will be on rampage
and Christianity and Islam will be its first victims. I am warning
you. Christians sitting here may take note of this.
ANTI-DALIT MEDIA
(2) Yet another big problem the Dalit movement is facing is the
hostile Brahmin-Bania national media which is all-out anti-Dalit.
After the LPG (liberalisation, privatisation, globalisation) regime
took over India and the 15% upper castes started forgetting the
rest of the country's 85% havenots, India's "national" press
(in Dalit Voice, we call it "national
toilet papers"— has actually become the anti-national
press.
Fortunately these "national" English dailies are killing
each other and one by one they are dying. This is a happy development.
ENGLISH EDUCATION DENIED
(3) Then we have another serious problem facing the Dalits. That
is our country's education system which itself is pro-Brahminical.
History books do not reveal the truth. What you study is of no
relevance to your future life. Importance is given to money-making
professions —totally ignoring social sciences. Literature,
sociology, history, law have no takers.
By denying English education to Dalits the govt. has actually
created two types of education. The Dalits are offered education
in mother tongue which can only make the students a peon or a clerk.
But private education in English is preparing the ruling class
children to high-paid jobs as engineer, doctor, management and
ready for export to Western countries. (laughter).
So, the govt. itself has permitted a dual system of education
of which the Dalits are the worst victims.
(4) Though the constitution assures 18% reservation to Dalits,
only less than 5% Dalits have been able to take advantage of this.
Hindus have actually used the reservation to divide the Dalits
into two: the tiny well-off educated, employed creamy layer of
less than 5%. We call them "reservationwalas" and the
over 95% uneducated, unemployed, village-dwelling starving masses.
You can see them in Bihar, UP, Orissa etc.
ELITE DALITS CREATING PROBLEMS
The reservationwalas may be small in number but they have become
the best slaves of Brahmins.
They are least bothered about the left-out 90%. This class has
even forgotten Dr. Ambedkar, their own Father.
It is this educated, employed section of Dalits who are creating
all sorts of problems to Dalit movement as agents of Brahmins.
It is this section which is behind the campaign, very much highlighted
in the media, that the Backward Castes are the real enemy of Dalits
and not the Brahmins.
No doubt, the DV family members belong to this educated class.
I am not referring to the exception. Exception proves the rule.
BID TO DESTROY OUR IDENTITY
This campaign of the educated Dalits gets lot of publicity in
the press and because of that SC-BC clashes have taken place in
some parts of India but fortunately the illiterate, who comprise
60% of India's population, do not read these papers. The country
is saved because over 60% of Indians don't read any paper. (laughter).
(5) The Hindu rulers main preoccupation is to destroy our identity
while at the same time fully strengthening their identity and thereby
becoming the rulers of India.
HINDUISATION OF DALITS
But to the misfortune of these Brahminical people parliamentary
democracy has taken deep roots— thus straightening the identity
of different castes and communities.
Parliamentary democracy is endangering Brahminism even as it has
become our greatest hope. I have discussed this in my book Caste —A
Nation Within the Nation (Books for Change, 2004).
To destroy the parliamentary democracy the Brahminical people
are resorting to different steps but they are not succeeding. The
higher judiciary, the "national" toilet papers are all
trying their best to sabotage our parliamentary democracy.
(6) The Brahmins are trying their best to hinduise everybody.
Particularly the Dalits. A majority of Dalits and Tribals today
call themselves Hindu. The Hindu injection has gone deep into the
blood of all our people.
HATE BRAHMIN BUT WORSHIP BRAHMIN GOD
But the problem is every Dalit is a born anti-Brahmin. The daily
pinpricks makes every Dalit more anti-Brahmin in thought and action.
Anti-Brahminism is deep-rooted in the Indian soil. Every social,
religious and cultural movement born in India has been only against
Brahminism.
The Brahmins have tried to defeat us here also. What they say
is:
"If you want to hate Brahmins, well, go ahead. We have no
objection. It is enough if you worship our gods: Rama, Krishna,
Shiva, Ayyappa etc."
They have 33 crores of gods.
So much so, we have started "hating" Brahmins but in
fact worshipping Brahmin gods. These gods are fully under the control
of the Brahmin, who is above the god (Bhoodevata).
Once again we are trapped. From the frying pan we have jumped into
the fire.
Unless and until the Dalits and all other victims of Brahminism
stop worshipping "Brahmin gods", we cannot escape from
Brahminical tyranny.
(7) It is very difficult to fight the different Brahminical tricks
because not only they are the rulers, but they have the media and
the judiciary to back them. And their gods to frighten us.
THE FALL OF INDIAN CHURCH
So, after good deal of thought we have come out with a wonderful
weapon called caste. As everybody is born into a caste and knows
everything about the caste we have found it the deadliest weapon
to fight and destroy Brahminism.
The caste weapon is working very effectively. For the first time
the Brahmins are deeply worried because this is the only weapon
against which they have no defence.
(8) In this endeavour of the Dalits, we thought the church would
support the Dalits.
Prior to "independence" the church did liberate the
Dalits. Kerala has about 25% Christians, the highest in the country,
barring the North-East. The Kerala Christians are mostly from Dalits
and Backward Castes.
The church did liberate Dalits all over India. Over 85% of Indian
Christians are Dalits. The Indian church itself is a Dalit church.
But unfortunately like all other institutions in India, the church
is also getting hinduised. The upper caste Christians have taken
over the church leadership.
CHURCH gives up CONVERSION
The CBCI (Catholic Bishops Conference of India) met in Bangalore
last week and passed a resolution at last to offer reservation
in Christian educational institutions to Dalits. What right the
CBCI has to ask the govt. to demand reservation to Dalit Christians
when it is not giving reservation to its own Dalit Christians?
Christian colleges and schools all over India are educating only
upper caste children who after graduating call Christians anti-national.
I am sorry to note the church is directly engaged in preparing
and strengthening such fascist elements. I don't know if your Sacred
Heart College is an exception or not.
Dalit Voice has a large circulation
among Christians. In Kerala, many Christian institutions are readers
of Dalit Voice. Christian have the good habit of reading and studying.
But the problem is after reading, they eat, sleep and forget the
whole thing.
PLIGHT OF NUNS
The church has almost given up the mission of evangelising. Conversion
is not liked because the upper caste Christians do not want to
antagonise their Hindu cousins.
The church, however, has the potential to become a revolutionary
force. But it is unwilling. This is the problem. So much so, we
are sorry to say the Dalits are losing confidence in the church
itself. Syrian Christians, Mangalorean and Goan Christians, who
call themselves Brahmin converts, are coming in the way of such
a revolution.
These three sections are a micro-minority within the church but
as leaders they are keeping the church gagged to please their Hindu
cousins. They are more interested in their blood brothers but not
in the church. This is the tragedy of Indian church.
But Dalits as the only revolutionary force can change this church.
Upper castes need no revolution. But Dalits need revolution. Hence
it is the Dalits inside the church who should revolt and topple
the leadership, takeover the church and restore it to its original
position.
The religious women in the church are a big majority. Religious
men who are a minority are keeping the nuns and sisters imprisoned,
gagged. Dalit Christians will welcome the nuns and sisters to join
us.
(9) Brahminical rulers always make much of economic and educational
progress.
ECONOMIC PROGRESS is NO PROGRESS
They go on brain-washing on these two subjects. But I want to
tell you that economic and educational progress is no progress.
The best example to prove is Kerala itself. Kerala, economically
and educationally, the most advanced state –perhaps in the
whole country. But socially and culturally Kerala is the most backward.
Its 30% Ezhavas, 25% Muslims, 10% Dalits and other BCs are still
suffering in Kerala. Over 70% of Kerala people tell us they are
treated as slaves.
Economic and educational progress of Kerala did not free the people
from the mental slavery of Brahminism.
Here again the church can do a lot. And I am sure your college
will prove an exception to this rule and take steps to prepare
revolutionaries who will be able to liberate the slaves of Kerala
and make your state as the No.1 state in the country.
The very fact Brother P.M. Sebastian, your English professor ,
took so much of trouble to invite me proves your genuine interest
in Dalits. He came all the way to Bangalore to meet me.
I will try to come to your college next year also and find out
how much progress is made in converting the Sacred Heart College
into a truly Christian revolutionary centre.
Finally, I request all the teachers and students here not to accept
even a word of what I have said but think and think and then only
come to your own conclusion.
Thank you for your patient hearing. Thank you also for inviting
me and giving this opportunity to place my frank opinion before
you.

The hell in holy Kashi & filth flowing in Ganga
V.T. RAJSHEKAR
Never before we visited such a dirty, stinking place like Varanasi,
which houses India's holiest of the holy Hindu temples on the bank
of the holy Ganga, a virtual gutter flowing with filth and burning
corpses.
The French Govt. itself offered to clean the "holy" river
and tried its best for ten years or so. After getting defeated,
they bid goodbye admitting that it has failed. Now, once again
the Hindus have renewed their song and dance of "clean Ganga" waiting
to feed on some other foreign bakras.
The French failure summarises the sins of Holy Kashi. India's
other holy places are no better.
SLAVES OF B.H.U
The Western UP city of Varanasi is the stronghold of Brahmins
who are the rulers of India, boasting about their "world's
most ancient religion" and all that is great and glorious.
Yet their holiest city is a huge lavatory. One has to only visit
Varanasi and see it. Seeing is believing.
We were invited to Varanasi (Feb.11 - 14, 2006) by the Dalit students
of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) established by one of pre-independent
India's two greatest Brahmins, Madan Mohan Malaviya. In the sprawling
complex of BHU its 2,500 Dalit students live as slaves and at the
mercy of the Brahmins and other upper castes.
Though we had stopped visiting Hindu temples from 1951, we wanted
to have a look at the "holy" Kashi Viswanath temple at
least from a distance. Even this we could not. Going near the temple
itself was a super-human task. The narrow street leading to the
temple was jammed with visitors, pilgrims, beggars and hawkers.
Only authorickshaws or cycle rickshaws can take you to the temple.
It is simply chaotic.
Such is the condition of roads in Varanasi. As the speeding vehicles
frequently hit against each other, traffic jams are a normal feature.
At least three times we were caught in such traffic jams. Yet the
people of Varanasi are cool. They think they are living in a virtual
paradise on earth. Such is the mental make up of slaves enjoying
their slavery.
The city has about 15% Muslims but totally gagged. Another 12%
Dalits totally enslaved.
POLICE "PROTECTING" GOD ?
Our attempt to go near the Viswanath temple, perhaps the madest
spot in the stinking city, was an unforgettable experience. BHU
students escorting us first took us in an autorickshaw and after
a distance it could not proceed because of the rush of people.
We had to walk through the chaotic stinking narrow avenues. Finally
we were told the temple has come but we could not see as it was
completely covered by shops and all sorts of dirty run-down buildings.
A battery of armed policemen were "guarding" the temple.
When asked , the police said, they were guarding the god against
any terrorist attack. "People from all over India come here
to seek the protection of the god. But how wonderful that here
you are protecting the god? Seeing the protectors of the god is
greater than seeing the god himself. We will go back", we
said.
HINDU BELIEF SYSTEM
The policeman laughed and so also the Dalit students. We returned
without even going near the temple.
We were reminded of our visit to another holy place, the Puri
Jagannath temple.
Dalit students said the Kashi Brahmins were seriously worried
about the security and hence kept the "god" hidden for
away.
MUSLIMS BOYCOTT B.H.U.
But this is not the case with any Muslim, Sikh or Christian god.
They don't keep their gods locked up. But you can't convince a
Hindu because the Hindu believes what he wants to believe. The
Hindu belief system is converting India itself into a vast Varanasi.
We were told the Muslims don't send their children to BHU being
a Hindu institution though there are some Muslim teachers. Brahmin-Thakur
clashes are common in BHU. And Dalits then side with Thakurs. But
there were occasions when both joined to bash the Dalits.
The famous Guru Ravidas birth place is almost behind the BHU campus.
Thousands and thousands of Dalits visited the place on Feb.14 which
was the birth anniversary of the legendary Dalit (Chamar) saint
who was one of the founders of Sikhism. A special train itself
came from Punjab bringing thousands of devotees. We visited the
holy place and met many Ravidas followers from Punjab.
NEITHER LIVING NOR DEAD
The Varanasi is a huge tourist- pilgrim centre. The famous Budhist
centre, Sarnath, is close by. The city has an airport very far
away and 2 five-star hotels and some other big hotels. Hundreds
of pilgrims and foreign tourists come daily but the holy custodians
of the city are not worried that all those who come to the city
go back cursing.
"Hindu India" has been always like this from centuries
and it will continue like this —neither living nor dead.

BHU Dalit students get ready to challenge Hindu terrorists
SANJAY KR. CHAUDHARY, R.NO. - 05. DR. B.D. HOSTEL, BHU, VARANASI
- 221 005
We the Dalit students made history by inviting V.T. Rajshekar
to Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP, on the occasion of the
birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas. He delivered a very powerful
and thought-provoking lecture on "Caste, nation and modernity" on
Feb.13, 2006.
About 700 Dalit students and 60 Dalit teachers including guardians
and non-teaching staff of BHU attended the seminar and listened
to the lecture with rapt attention. The speech was translated sentence
by sentence by Brother Benyamin Christi. Prof. M.P. Singh (former
Dean, faculty of law, BHU), Mata Prasad, a Gandhian Harijan, was
the guest of honour, S.R. Darapuri, IPS (retd), presided over the
seminar. Pramod Bagde conducted the proceedings and Sanjay Chaudhry
introduced the theme of the seminar.
Fantastic guidelines: The clear-cut message of
the Editor of the Dalit Voice for us
was: "if you also fail then India will also fail. So, you
have to think and act to liberate Dalits from the Hindu terrorists".
He gave a fantastic guideline: "You love what the Brahmins
hate and hate what the Brhamins love".
Each caste must be strengthened and only then the Bahujans can
be liberated. He made it clear that the caste system and caste
were two different social phenomenon. To destroy the caste system
each Dalit caste had to be strengthened.
The Editor criticised Brahminism and exposed its crimes against
Dalits. Quoting Babasaheb, he said Dalits including the Backward
Castes and minorities were never Hindu and are not Hindu. They
have been enslaved by making them Hindu. To destroy Brahminism,
we have to strengthen each caste. Each caste is a nation. India
is not a nation but a country of several nations. He was repeatedly
cheered.
Dalitas asked to master English: He asked Dalit
students to study English and master English.
BHU is a stronghold of Hindu terrorists. Such lectures like the
one by the Editor were never delivered in BHU.
He demolished all well-established Brahminical ideas held by our
educated and "Dalit intellectuals",teachers etc. After
hearing the Editor they have now started thinking for the first
time. This is the greatest achievement of the Editor's visit.
Whenever we called Dalit intellectuals, they demanded TA-DA barring
few exceptions. But we have paid nothing to the Editor. He came
on his own expense on just a postcard invitation.
After his speech many questions were asked. Dalit students simply
mobbed the Editor. The seeds of revolution were sown in this leading
Hindu terrorist centre. We want to invite the Editor again and
he has agreed.
On behalf of Dalit students of BHU, we request Dalit teachers
of all universities to invite Editor V.T. Rajshekar to hammer your
moth-eaten Brahminical brains and create a new India based on Babasaheb's
philosophy.

Dalits became Muslims to escape Hindu cruelty
DALIT BANDHU N.K. JOSE, AMBIKA MARKET, VAIKOM - 686 144
My 103rd book, Aranu Videsikal? (Who
are the foreigners?) in Malayalam was released on Feb.2 at the
31st anniversary of the Kerala History Congress (KHC) of which
I am the president. Feb.2 was also my 78th birthday. The book was
released by Dr. Michael Tharakan at the meeting of KHC. Prof. Abraham
Arackal, ex-principal of Maharajas College, Ernakulam, presided.
Dr. P.J. Cherian, Director of Kerala Council of Historical Research,
inaugurated.
The book deals with Muslims and Christians who are not foreigners
but the original inhabitants of India but converted to Islam and
Christianity. The Hindus are the real foreigners who came some
3,500 years ago. Hindu means those within the chathurvarna. Some
are asking the original inhabitants to quit India saying that India
is theirs. During Aurangzeb period (1707), the Muslim population
in India was 1% (Travels in Mughal Empire,
F. Bernier). During the Round Table Conference at London (1930),
Jinnah said Muslim population was 25% of the total population.
That means in 223 years the population of Muslims shot up from
1 to 25%. There was no conversion work as such by Muslims. Nadir
Shah came in 1739 and conquered Delhi but he returned as he came.
The same happened when Ahmad Shah Abdali came in 1751. Before Aurangzeb,
Babar came with a small army and they settled here. Afghan and
Turkish conquerors also did like that. Even after that the Muslim
population was just 1%. From the time of Mohammad Bin Khassim,
there was the presence of Muslims who became the ruling class here.
Brahmins and Rajputs accepted their rulership from the time of
Alaud-din Khalji onwards. During the Sepoy Mutiny those sepoys
declared that if they won the mutiny, Bahadur Shah 2nd, the last
of the Mughal dynasty, would be the ruler. He was at that time
an aged man living a retired life. He was not in any way related
to the mutiny.
That means the people were thinking even at that time Muslims
as the rulers. After the decline of the Mughal empire, Brahmins
and Hindus became petty rulers. They started cruelties against
the Dalits. For the sake security the Dalits then converted to
Islam. And thus the Muslim population increased. If the British
rule did not come by the end of the 18th century, the majority
of the Dalits would have become Muslim. Thus the majority of the
present Muslims of India are Dalits —and brothers of the
present Dalits. That means they are the original inhabitants of
India.
