Police foil bid to burn “Poona Pact” at DV silver jubileeMULNIVASI MALA, 8/4-SIDDHI CHAWL, B.S. ROAD, DADAR (W), BOMBAY - 400 028 The Dalit plan to burn a copy of the hated “Poona Pact” — which killed the very future of Dalits and made them the slaves of Hindus — at the Dalit Voice silver jubilee function here on Oct.2, 2007 was frustrated by the Bombay police. The police summoned the four main organisers of the function at Ambedkar Bhavan, Dadar (E), and warned them that all of them would be arrested including Editor V.T. Rajshekar who would burn the book. COWARDLY GOVT. SERVANTSThe main organisers were ready for the arrest. The Editor stood firm and said he was ready for arrest. But three of the minor organisers were scared as they were govt. servants. Since the “Poona Pact” burning was not on their original agenda but added at the last minute they were not ready to face the arrest. It was agreed that the “Poona Pact” would be burnt next year (2008) at the very premises (Ambedkar Bhavan) and on the very Gandhi Jayanti day (Oct.2) by the Editor of Dalit Voice without involving cowardly govt. servants. A lorryload of policemen and women descended on Ambedkar Bhavan fearing that the organisers would go ahead with burning the “Poona {act”. Hundreds of Dalits had gathered to hear V.T. Rajshekar and also witness the sensational burning of the cursed “Poona Pact”. Such is the Brahminical rulers love for the “Poona Pact” which dashed the greatest hope of Babasaheb, Father of India, to liberate his children from the slavery of Hindus. HINDU COLLECTIVE CONSPIRACYSeparate electorate which was the main demand of Babasaheb was frustrated through a collective conspiracy of the Brahminical people headed by M.K. Gandhi in the year 1932. It was against this demand of Babasaheb that Gandhi went on his fake “fast unto death” but he never died. Gandhi went on a fast to save his micro-minority Hindus and make them the rulers of India by killing the future of the over 20% Dalits, the original inhabitants of India. Had Gandhi and his Hindus conceded separate electorate the Dalits would have become a powerful nation which in turn would have converted India also into a powerful country. “Poona Pact” and Gandhi killed our future and also the future of India. Dr. Suresh Mane, BSP leader, spoke at length on the harm the “Poona Pact” did to Dalits and the crimes of Gandhi. Other speakers at the function condemned the police action and said the Dalits had every right to burn the “Poona Pact” as it concerned their human rights. The police by protecting the minority upper caste supporters of the pact were going against the democratic aspiration of the majority people. What is wrong with Indian Muslims? Why they are not getting angry ?V.T. RAJSHEKAR What is happening to India’s Muslims who form the country’s single largest community with a 20% population — plus endowed with a powerful religion? At the recent Hyderabad DV silver jubilee celebration (Aug.12, 2007), some Dalit family members complained that despite DV giving so much support, Muslims are not coming to support it. This is true. Our representative in Hyderabad, Dr. Yadaiah, said every time the Muslims invited him to their meetings he would never fail but when he invited them there was hardly any response. Barring two leaders of the Tameer-e-Millat (Rahim Qureshi) and Jamate-Islami others did not turn up at our Hyderabad function. Even they also went away after speaking. Our Delhi silver jubilee celebrate on April 8, 2007 was attended by Syed Shahabuddin and the editor of the Radiance of the Jamate Islami. Dalit-Muslim unity: Rahim Qureshi of the Tameer-e-Millat, a friend of the Editor for the past 25 years, in his speech at our Hyderabad meeting called upon the Dalits to join hands with Muslims. In our speech we told him that we were the founders of the Dalit-Muslim unity movement and published a book itself on the subject which was released by the late Moulana Ali Miyan. We went around the country several times, meeting Muslim religious leaders — all of whom welcomed the Dalit-Muslim unity but did hardly anything to further the cause. The Muslim leadership is more interested in Hindu-Muslim unity which is never possible. Will the lamb ever believe the wolf? Dalits are too willing to join Muslims. They have nothing against them. In fact all their literature and all their speeches are directed only against their Brahminical enemies. They have nothing against Muslims. Gujarat Dalit-Muslim unity: In Hyderabad city itself Muslims form about 30% of its population. It was once the capital of the Nizam state. Today the very rulers of Hyderabad are pushed to the old city which is reduced to a vast slum. Over 20 years back, we had taken Bojja Tarakam and other top Dalit leaders of AP to many Muslim gatherings where they promised that the Dalits of Hyderabad would stand by Muslim brothers in any difficulty. But the Muslims did not reciprocate. So much so Hyderabad today has become the epicentre of “terrorism” meaning “Muslim violence”. Every Muslim leader of Hyderabad knows us. Hyderabad Urdu papers used to carry our interviews every time we visited the city. But all these are old stories. Today, the Muslim isolation from Dalits is total. This the case all over India. In the Old Ahmedabad, Dalits and Muslims have been living together since generations. During the 1981 India’s first “caste war”, we rushed to Ahmedabad and brought about tremendous Dalit-Muslim unity to fight the upper caste Patels who killed the Dalits. But within a couple of years the Hindu terrorist party won over the Dalits and instigated them against Muslims. And the result was the 2002 Gujarat Genocide of over 2,000 Muslims. Why the Muslim leadership failed to keep up the Dalit-Muslim unity brought about in 1981 of which Gujarat Dalit Panther leaders Ramesh Chandra Parmar and Valjibhai Patel were the main actors? PM fools Muslims: Look, how beautifully Prime Minister Manmohan Singh fooled the Muslims through the Sachar Report which in several words said the rulers have succeeded in converting India into a Hindu Rashtra. In our Editorial of Jan.1, 2007 (“Muslim problem not economic: Sachar report must pave way for Dalit-Muslim unity”), we said it is the cunning Khatri PM who master-minded the Sachar committee to mislead the Muslims. Muslims are hated, persecuted, jailed, dubbed terrorists and killed in thousands not because they are poor. But because they are hated by the Hindus. Muslims are killed only because they are Muslims. Muslim problem not economic: But the PM with the help of his jatwala Khatri chairman of the committee succeeded in fooling the elite Muslims and the Sachar report became a talking point at hundreds of Muslim seminars. We attended at least half a dozen such seminars. Sachar committee was aimed at diverting the anger of the revolutionary Muslims and keeping the elite Muslims entertained. The PM and the Brahminical ruling class thus fooled the Muslims. They fooled the Muslims because the Muslims are willing to be fooled. We repeat: The Muslim problem is not economic but social and cultural. The Sachar Committee had nothing to say on the social and cultural slow death of a community that ruled India for 800 years. How long this elite Muslims, who are not even 5% of the Muslim population, go on fooling its community? Look at the latest development. It is now over an year since the Sachar report was presented. Except discussions, seminars and shedding of crocodile tears over Muslims, nothing has been done. The PM and his Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Das Munshi blocked the presentation of an action taken report by the Minister in charge, Antulay, himself a Muslim. Antulay des not have even a proper office despite being a cabinet minister. The treatment given to Antulay shows how the ruling upper castes treat the Muslims. But the Muslims are not getting angry. Another committee on Sachar Report: Now the Khatri PM has come with another brain-wave to further fool the Muslims: set up another committee to examine the Sachar committee report. It will be called “Equal Opportunities Commission” to hoodwink the Muslims. But many upper castes will get kushy job for 2-3 years headed by Dr. N.R. Madhav Menon, a Malayali upper caste Nair. Why another committee on the Sachar committee? The Brahminical game plan is when you want to kill something se up a committee. Look how the Sri Krishna Commission report on the Shiv Sena-led mass murder of Muslims in Bombay was simply thrown to waste paper basket. Muslims are being continuously deceived even as thousands and thousands of innocent Muslims are rotting in the jail for years. The just released Abdul Nasser Madani is the standing example of the anti-Muslim attitude of the Indian ruling class which includes our Hindu judiciary also. Confusion in UP: We have written thousands of pages on the Muslims. But that is in English. We have no access to the Muslim masses. India’s single largest community is condemned as anti-national. But there is no murmur from the condemned community. Look at UP, India’s politically most important state which has a heavy Muslim presence. Dalits (23%), the “most wretched community”, has a party (BSP). Brahmins who were first in Congress shifted to BJP but are now in BSP. When Dalits can form a party why not Muslims? UP Muslims make up abut 18.5% of the population. But Yadavs who are just 7% used the MY (Muslim-Yadav) unity stunt under Mulayam and ruled the state thrice. Kurmis have Apna Dal. But one player, Harbhajan Singh, was a Sikh, Irfan and Yousaf were Muslims. Two Brahmins and two were Khatri boys. Two lower caste and two Brahmin boys were kept out of the match. The total cricket team had full representation for all sections of India. But what did the Hindu media do? Hindu worship Hindu players. Hindu emotions. Hindu society. The media made it a Hindu monopoly. Dalits were ignored as useless. Sikhs, Muslims and Christians were ignored and blacked out in the whole show of Chak de India. The media made it appear that India is Hindu and Hindus only mattered here. Cricket is a game of our leisured class which has no work to do. This game of cricket has inflicted tremendous damage on the toiling Indians. It has killed our ancient and robust games and sports of the masses of Indians. Cricket is a game that earns billions of rupees. That is why the Hindus have made it a national game. But for the downtrodden this game has proved a means of exploitation. That is why in “Hindu India”, captain Rahul Dravid had to face caste jealousies and forced to get out of from leadership. On arrival of the cricket team back in India, most players are tilaked. And the word Hindustan was used like a folk song in all the show. The Hindu media shrewdly proved that only Hindus (upper castes) constituted India. However, Africans especially in East, North and West Africa are always being influenced by at least two religious streams 1) traditional African religion and 2) Islam. There were always some small pockets of Christianity on the continent, mostly in the north and east. Thus for Africa many of our Muslim brothers are also our African brothers. My request is please pursue the Indian Institute of Science student Ajay Shree Chandra’ s case till the culprits are brought to justice (DV Sept.16, 2007: “Brahminical racism in Indian Inst. of Science”). I’ve studied and worked in India’s so called top-most institutions and I’m very much aware of many unworthy people occupying high positions and causing immense damage. I have great respect for the IISc director, but the institute is no dearth of substandard fellows. The IISc students and faculty members know what a third class politician the Associate Director is. Very many of it’s faculty members could be either quite rightly admitted to psychiatric hospital or tried in court for abusing, prostituting their position. In my opinion when a students commits suicide, a proper, thorough investigation should be conducted by concerned officials with integrity and competence. If people are found guilty, they should be punished in accordance with law and proper mechanism should be put in place so that no student’s life is put in danger. If a student commits suicide in an university of truly developed country such as UK, the whole faculty could get penalised. The whole media would give a wide coverage. The University, Police, Justice dept. officials will be called for a open debate and the consequences would be such that no one would dare to deviate from right track. The overall system will improve. Our institutions suffer cancer and they need therapeutic intervention. Please pursue Ajay Chandra’s case as best as you could. In fact, actions (good/bad) of an individual have no relation with caste, religion or creed even if they do it in the name of caste, if others believe this, they are self asserting the caste system and making it strong. What is the difference between your aim and the other oppressor castes if you behave like them? A 20-year-old African woman, Megan Williams, in West Virginia, was raped repeatedly by eight Whites (men and women, forced to lick blood and drink from a toilet, she was also forced to eat rat and dog feces, and was beaten and tortured. (3). Off duty police in Washington DC shot and killed a 14-year-old African youth for suspicion of a crime. We are at war. In Africa, we are strangled by neo-colonialism. The first two he battered to death with a club, near Anarkali Bazar... His third victim was bludgeoned to death with a spade on the Ravi Road near the river. For days afterwards he wandered around in a daze...” (From The Clash of Fundamentalisms by Tariq Ali, p.162). The perpetrator was Anwar Shaikh, an orthodox Muslim. Shaik said he read and re-read the Quran. But he could not hear the message that killing an innocent child/man is like killing the whole mankind. Instead Anwar wrote “Islam and sexuality”. I do not know what Bharadwaj is writing. A pervert has a strange way of satisfying his polluted soul. I must assure you Anwar was un-Islamic, but Bharadwaj was a pure Hindu. He is priding himself for his having beaten a Chamar boy with his shoe for no other reason than touching his tiffin box, empty or full either in ignorance or innocently as a school boy. Our Editor has however praised Bharadwaj “as a very honest Brahmin”, whereas the Ambedkarites know that they are irredeemably dishonest. Had they been honest, they would no longer be a Brahmin. They would blush in their shame. I would never believe that “When Kanshi Ram gave a slogan, Tilak, Tarju or Talwar, Inko mor jote chaar” in one of his meetings, which must have been flooded by the presence of Chamars of UP, Bharadwaj could pluck courage “to yell back with my own slogan, Chand Tumahri or Joota Hamara hai, jo tumko bap dadon se pyara hai” without being ripped apart under the heels of the Chamars. If his slogan in the crowded meeting of the Chamars left him unharmed would he realise the stage of civilisatiton the Chamars had reached, leaving the Brahmins in primitive barbarism? There is an antithetical relation between privilege and common sense. That is why “the bourgeois consciousness”, according to marxism, is a cunning or idiocy. The generations of kings were never men of common sense. They were illiterate. George-II never bothered about poetry or painting. The most of the English kings could not sign. That was why the privy seal was discovered. Similarly the priest class, specially hereditary priesthood, are dishonest, cunning, immoral, unethical etc. in their whole existence. Only Dalits can recoup them. Bharadwaj has no sense of history or knowledge of Indian history. The Brahmins had never ruled India. They had slaved under the Kshatriya princes, as a priest caste they had lived under charity of the Kshatriyas. Their affluence is a result of the Kshatriya patronage profusely shown to them by land contribution. They are the parasite class who inevitably grow to be traitors. The history of the Nandas, Mauriyas, Ashok’s and Harsha’s empire, betrayal of Shivaji’s son, Sambaji to Aurangazeb and down to company’s and queen’s rules they acted as compradors and unfaithful to India. Bharadwaj’s aspiration as a Brahmin to rule India for 10,000 years more reminds me of a story of two drunkards talking to each other in Calcutta maidan. One said: “I will buy the Monument tomorrow”. The other replied: I shall never sell you the Monument. --------------------------------- Kamalesh Sharma, Kerala: I have been reading your magazine for the last 2-3 years and being a Brahmin, I have now decided to give it back to you after going through all your articles perpetrating enough hatred and jealousy against upper castes, particularly Brahmins. I don’t like to give any responses to your stupid articles. However, just try to understand why Brahmins are in high positions and try to inculcate certain good habits so that the so-called Dalits will come up in the society rather than consoling yourself with meaningless ideologies... Just give you brief reasons why Brahmins are dominating: (1) Good character with hard work, never aspired to go through short methods like you Dalits are doing for the last 50 years with the reservations. (2) Go to any govt. office where the so-called Dalits are there and people will know what kind of response they can expect. Dalits have been given promotions even in reservations. Still you can’t do the work and in turn depend on the Brahmins. Today the Brahmins are supporting Dalits and doing their work also. Indirectly we Brahmins are supporting you even to keep your govt. jobs. You should be thankful to Brahmins because we are the ones who are protecting your jobs. (3) Finally, there are so many poor Brahmins working in Sulabh toilet organizations for the livelihood. It is the poverty we all together need to eradicate whether it is Brahmin or Dalit... but not perpetuating caste division by your dirty and third-rate webiste... Learn some good values from Brahmins and you will also be wise someday. Brahmins are always one step ahead because of their goodness and administrative skills... you can never ever surpass us... By the time reservations come into private sector, we are already moving to USA and other countries. So, instead of having venom in your heart, start understanding why Brahmins are up in the society. It is because of intellectual ability coupled with helping others. Learn some qualities and try to imbibe rather than wasting your time in collecting third-rate articles like this... In fact, as a keen reader of Dalit Voice, I was aware of many things. Every thing which you said, I have already read in DV. The main thing was to see you speaking in person. VTR has secured his name in history. Brahminised people do not like or love Gandhi, but they love gandhism. Gandhism is a tool in their hand to kill Ambedkarism. We love Dr. Ambedkar, but we do not follow Ambedkarism. Though the name of Dr. Ambedkar is alive, but Ambedkarism is almost dead. While gandhism is alive (and for this the name of Gandhi is being projected larger than life). Now the question is how the dead Ambedkarism can fight live Gandhism. And the biggest problem is that no body wants to ponder over it. We say that we will cut the hand which will harm Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar statue, but the upper caste has buried the Ambedkar philosophy and they are sitting over it and raping the lower caste girls, murdering, looting the lower caste people and burning their house, then no body raises his eyebrow.
