Mayawati launches bloodless revolution via UP
DR. V.D. CHANDANSHIVE, COTTAGE VAISHALI, SHAHU NAGAR,
NANDED - 431 602
Though overtly it appears as a political change in UP, brought
about by an “iron lady”, covertly it has all the ingredients
of a silent, neat, bloodless revolution envisaged by the icons
of the Bahujan Samaj beginning with the Budha, Asoka in the ancient
times and dreamt of by Jyotirao Phule, Shahu, Dr. Ambedkar and
Periyar.
This is so because the sweeping political change in UP is based
solely on the ideology of the above-cited great personalities who
always stood for justice and equality in political, social and
economic spheres irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
This is the first time in post-independent India that a remarkable
political transformation has materialized founded on the core ideology
of Bahujanism, the ideology which has been staring through
the preamble of the Indian constitution waiting to be implemented
by the rulers but whose Manuwadi mind-set has converted
it into more or less a dead letter. In the very first press conference,
after swearing in as CM, Mayawati said:
Yeh hamari vichardhara ki vijay hai (this is the victory
for our ideology).
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s definition of democracy — a
system of governance in which change is brought without shedding
a single drop of blood — has been actually demonstrated by
Mayawati at the hustings in UP. Hats off to her indomitable courage
and her managerial skills.
Our Editor has very rightly commented on the greatness of Kanshi
Ram:
The country has not so far seen a political strategist like Kanshi
Ram. He is an expert on caste and had all the caste arithmetic
on the tip of his fingers. His experiments in UP, using the caste
to kill casteism proved a great success. Kanshi Ram has been
not only a dedicated and selfless leader but perhaps a rare leader
who loved his people... If Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar gave us those
deadly philosophical weapons to fight the Brahminical forces, the
credit goes to Kanshi Ram for effectively using those weapons and
producing magical results... (Dr. V.D. Chandanshive, Kanshi
Ram The Crusader, Blue Dawn Books, 2005 p.5).
No Dalit leader after Babasaheb stood the test of time as Kanshi
Ram did. And the novel strategy which he applied to the Bahujan
movement paid him great dividends. While at Poona he happened to
read Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Annihilation of Caste and
he read it several times. When he found that Babasaheb had put
the onus of destroying caste on the Brahmins and other upper castes
who were just 15% in the Indian society, what was left for Kanshi
Ram to do? But there was a section in Babasaheb’s writings
about an ideal, casteless Indian society based on the principles
of liberty, equality and fraternity practising social endosmosis.
(Dr. B.R. Ambedkar W&S, Vol.1, p.57).
U.P. ACCEPTS BAHUJAN IDEOLOGY
He thought that the percentage of upper castes was just 15% but
the deprived a whopping 85%. Why not organise and unite them on
the basis of their victimisation? If Manu could divide the castes
by empowering the 15% micro minority, he could unite the 85% majority
(bahujans) by making them aware of their victimisation.
And fraternity was the weapon he used to unite them. Kanshi Ram
got the clues to do this from the writings of Phule, Shahu, Dr.
Ambedkar, Periyar and also from the writings of his contemporary
thinker and friend, V.T. Rajshekar our Editor.
Kanshi Ram never looked back since then conquering one target
after another with the help of his organs —BAMCEF, DS-4 and
BSP. Renouncing his home, relatives and adopting a life-style of
a hermit, he journeyed through the nook and corner of the country
selling dreams and awakening different Bahujan castes. Sleeping
or awake, he devoted his entire life to the Bahujan mission. He
became an ideal missionary for his cadre. A compassionate and saintly
leader as he was, he wanted a better successor to the movement
which he found in Sister Mayawati who has proved her mettle in
UP by installing the first ever Bahujan government in clear majority
and asserting herself as a Sarwajan Dalit leader.
MEANING OF “CASTE IDENTITY”
Looking at the entire demographic scenario of UP, one can claim
that the steady walk of BSP’s elephant has not left any area
untrampled. The Indian media has concealed the fact that apart
from winning 208-10 seats in an Assembly of 403, BSP stood second
in 111 constituencies and in 60 segments it lost by a margin less
than 5,000 votes. The vote share reveals that it was a massive
sweep for BSP. That means the UP electorate of all castes and creed
had accepted the Bahujan idealogy of justice to all castes
and communities.
But to make the UP electorate accept Bahujan ideology, Kanshi
Ram and Mayawati had to put in their non-stop efforts for nearly
25-30 years. They have tested the thesis successfully that castes
and communities of different shades can be constructively awakened
to achieve their human rights and to get justice. Another significant
fall-out of UP elections which has come to the fore is:
If the 85% deprived Bahujans is united, the remaining
15% upper castes will follow to safeguard their own security
and rights. In this way Bahujans can be converted into sarvajans.
So the fraternity of 85% Bahujans results in the fraternity
of sarvajans. This is the only meaning of the thesis
of “caste identity”, caste awakening or
caste consolidation or to use caste unity to kill casteism.
VICTORY ONLY DUE TO BRAHMIN VOTE IS JOKE
Fraternity is a unique instrument to unite the victimised castes
after caste awakening. This thesis can purge the Bahujan Samaj
of the caste hatred and also superiority, inferiority feeling inducted
in the caste system by Manu. This has been demonstrated perfectly
by what is now termed as “social engineering” which
Dr. Ambedkar called “social endosmosis” by Mayawati
in UP.
In the heated UP elections the Indian media did not stop playing
its old Manuwadi mischief by projecting Mayawati victory
as a result of Brahmins voting for BSP. Looking at the entire electoral
politics in India even a blind man can tell that due only to the Bahujan castes
and communities voting for upper caste political parties a mere
15-20% upper caste rulers have been ruling India since “independence”.
The media attempt to tell the people that a small river is bigger
than a vast ocean is really a joke. It is true that the upper casts — Brahmins,
Jains, Jats, Thakurs and even Bhumihars — did vote for the
BSP. But what is their total percentage in the total population
of UP? And moreover BSP had distributed tickets to these caste
groups as per their percentage in the population of UP which no
other party had done. Obviously the percentage of upper castes
in UP is much less than SC,BC and Muslims put together. The OBC
caste groups, Yadavs and Lodhs, did not vote for the BSP. But about
30% OBCs other than Yadavs and Lodhs preferred BSP. Why? The answer
lies in an altogether different political representation the UP
electorate expected and BSP was successful in generating this model.
“LARGEST DEMOCRACY” IS ANTI-DEMOCRATIC
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, while criticizing the nature of the body
of elected representatives in parliament and assemblies, often
described them as communal majorities. This meant that either the
elected representatives belonged to one dominant caste numerically
much stronger than other caste groups in the area or at the most
all elected members belonged to the upper castes riding rough shod
over the lower caste groups.
This again meant numerically much greater “lower caste” groups
remained completely unrepresented which turned out to be anti-democratic
in the “largest democracy of the world”. To our dismay
OBC leaders Mulayam and Lalu and others have also imitated this
upper caste-generated model creating Yadav monopoly in their respective
states. We can now witness what the non-Yadav electorate has done
with these leaders. In Maharashtra also the Maratha communal majority
has been ruling the state for so many years monopolising not only
political power but the entire co-operative and agricultural sector
leaving the non-Maratha electorate and the communities unrepresented.
But in UP, a fully democratic representation model has been generated
awakening and educating the Indian electorate which has been creating
ripples throughout the country. In UP, the old model of communal
majority has been killed by the electorate.
MEANING OF SECULARISM
Congressmen are claiming to be secular but the BJP and Hindu terrorists
are calling them pseudo-secularists striving to appease Muslims.
But both of them are playing the game of phobia-generating politics — a
technique that kept the Congress in power for half a century. Hindu
terrorists intimidating, abusing the Muslims and the Congress pretending
to be their saviour just for their votes. Both the Hindu terrorist
party and the Congress engineering riots between Muslims and Backward
Castes (bundling them Hindus) but focussing the riot as “Hindu
versus Muslims” just to garner votes in elections and still
claiming as secularists. This reached a climax when the “secularist” Congress
Prime Minister Narasimha Rao silently allowed the dismantling of
Babri Mosque in UP then ruled by BJP in 1992. Here the two parties
proved to be two sides of the same coin. The anti-Muslim stance
of upper castes in all upper caste parties was perfected with the
genocide of Muslims in Gujarat in 2002. This much for the secularism
of upper castes.
WELFARE ECONOMY
Mayawati has added another vital meaning to the Indian secularism.
Apart from the “religious secularism” they have added “social
secularism” in a caste-ridden India. The principle of secularism
cannot be implemented without “social secularism” or
call it secularism of castes apart from secularism of religions.
Unless each caste is managed, awakened and empowered the principle
of secularism cannot be brought to its logical end.
But the upper caste rulers have been using secularism as a disruptive
weapon to disturb the peace of the society with which the electorate
is disgusted. The Indian society along with the “poor” of
the upper castes wants security, justice, development and progress
which have been denied to them by the upper caste ruling clique
throwing secularism to the winds.
Political power for BSP is not an end in itself. But it is an
effective means to be used for social and economic democracy or
transformation. Otherwise, mere political democracy (right to vote),
without creating social and economic equality will be a fiasco.
And it has been made a fiasco by the 15% upper caste rulers in
terms of 85% deprived Bahujans. The upper caste rulers have been
using the country’s economy for the welfare of their own jati people
who are just 15-20% leaving out a gigantic chunk of 85% high and
dry. (Read V.T. Rajshekar’s book, Development Redefined,
DSA-2006).
DR. AMBEDKAR CHEATED
A core part-IV of the Indian constitution which puts forth the
developmental agenda — the directive principles of state
policy — still remains un-implemented even after 6 years
of “independence” simply because it is not made obligatory
by the constitution-makers as they have done with the fundamental
rights. In fact, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar wanted to induct an economic
policy, namely state socialism, in the basic structure of the constitution
and wanted to make it obligatory on every government to implement
it. In the constitutional debates he had pointed out that in the
world constitutions there was a lacuna of non-inclusion of definite
economic policy and we Indians should remove this drawback in the
making of our constitution. But our great upper caste lovers of
democracy opposed his proposal and refused to make economic policy
of state socialism obligatory by law. Since then the upper caste
rulers have been playing hide and seek with part-IV of the constitution.
But in UP, Mayawati cannot afford to drift away from the welfare
economy of the dynamic Bahujan icon. For this dynamic iron lady,
Mayawati, must become the PM to materialize the benefits of welfare
economy.
Indian rulers have blindly imitated the Western economic model
which pushed the country to extreme poles of marxism or capitalist
or market economy. Those countries which sought equilibrium between
these two poles have prospered. Nothing that goes to the extreme
succeeds. Under marxism, liberty is crushed and under capitalism
equality is thrown to the winds. So justice is denied in both the
systems.
Both the economic systems (socialism and capitalism) have been
created by international Jewry (read Protocols of Learned Elders
of Zion, copies available with Dalit Voice, Rs. 50).
Marx was a Jew and the champions of globalisation (WTO, World Bank
and IMF) are all Jew. They have invented these economic systems
to disrupt peace in different countries to push the zionist agenda.
They think that they have been chosen by god to rule the entire
world. But they cannot fool the entire world all the time. They
should also remember that human mind is capable of innovations
and it has the capacity to invent a novel economic system which
would establish world peace once again. They should also remember
that if they are bent upon destroying world peace, they too will
remain unsafe. Mayawati is capable of reviewing the economic world
scenario to apply Dr. Ambedkar’s indigenous brand of state
socialism.
CLOSING DOWN D.V. : EDITOR MUST LAUNCH R.S.S.-LIKE
BODY
Socio-cultural revolution alone can make political power permanent
NAGESH CHOUDHARY, EDITOR, BAHUJAN SANGHARSH, RAHATE COLONY,
WARDHA ROAD, NAGPUR - 440 022
I fully understand the agony of Editor V.T. Rajshekar. Many including
myself are shocked to hear his decision to “close down DV” (DV
Edit May 16, 2007). If not today, DV will soon stop if somebody
capable does not come to forward. So what and who after VTR? He
is 76 years young. His energy and intellect are still youthful
as they were before.
I am reacting to what Com. Ayyankali has written, “Brahmins
will rejoice if DV is closed but India can see no revolution” (DV
June 16, 2007 p.11).
What I understood from many years of contact with VTR and studying
his writings is that he is striving for a cultural revolution rather
than political power. He has deliberately kept aloof from politics,
joined no party but supported certain parties especially the Dalit
ones.
Ayyankali wants an “RSS-like non-political organisation” and
adds:
DV can no longer be run only by one man. It has to be run by a
trust backed by an RSS-like non-political organisation.
BRAHMINIC THOUGHT CONTROLLED BY RSS
But he does not know that RSS is not just a trust but controls
almost all political parties, besides directly controlling BJP.
Today, RSS is the biggest organisation in India. It has solid assets
in all major cities of India. Its wealth cannot be matched by any
political party including the ruling Congress Party. I am saying
this with my close watch on RSS which has its headquarters right
here in Nagpur.
RSS has a definite aim — to keep India a Hindu nation. All
Brahmins and most non-Brahmins in political or social organisations
are controlled by the RSS. Besides, there are scores of outfits
controlled by the RSS. The “Hindu nation” is a system.
After the British left they have strengthened the Brahminic system
with an all-pervading bondage.
Political power, according to the RSS, is not the master key.
It is part of the system, the “nation”. M.S. Golwalkar
says:
We stand for national regeneration and not for that half-hazard
bundle of (politics) — the state. (We or Our Nationhood
Defined, 1939, p.3. Photocopy available with DV).
PHULE-AMBEDKAR-PERIYAR PRODUCT OF BRITISH
We consider our great liberators as our guide today. Mahatma Phule
and Dr. Ambedkar were born in Maharashtra. Phule was born (1827)
just nine years after the Peshwa rule was defeated by the British.
Dr. Ambedkar was born under the British Raj. Phule wrote all his
books when British were ruling. Had there been a Peshwa rule — India’s
last Brahminic rule run as per Manu’s law — how could
Phule criticise Brahmins as he did? He would have been nipped in
the bud.
In Pune, Mahars and other Untouchables were not allowed to
walk on the streets. Even cats and dogs had that freedom but
not Dalits. This inhuman practice was stopped by the British.
The British introduced a new administrative system. No single
personality was important under that system. Had there been no
British rule neither Dr. Ambedkar nor Periyar or Shahu Maharaja
would have come up.
Brahmin rule would not have tolerated Phule, Periyar or Dr.
Ambedkar. So, we should accept the bitter truth that it was the
British who were responsible for the rise of our great saviours
like Phule, Dr. Ambedkar and Periyar.
“HINDU NATION” CONFINED TO 15% ARYANS
A great personality alone cannot create a system. Phule-Periyar-Dr.
Ambedkar could not have created an anti-Brahmin or non-Brahmin
system. They could attack the Brahminic system only because of
the protection they enjoyed under the British rule. That is why
all the Brahmin marxists as well reactionaries call Phule, Dr.
Ambedkar, Periyar as stooges of British.
Ayyankali’s call for an RSS-like body needs to be examined
in the light of my above observation. The Brahminic system, meaning
the “the Hindu nation”, as a whole has to be countered
and defeated in totality. That is why they call RSS a cultural
body. The “Hindu nation” concept does not indicate
the majority Hindu population. What they mean by “Hindu nation” is
the mere 15% Aryan nation.
Golwalkar’s concept of “Hindu nation” is a racial
one. If we read the book, We or Our Nationhood Defined,
the overall domination of Aryan Brahmins is what Golwalkar means
by “Hindu nation”. He considered such aspects as race,
language, culture and religion in the context of Aryans only. In
the foreword to his book, M.S. Aney, ex-Governor and a Congressman
then, supporting Golwalkars theory says:
The state is an essentially political unity while the nationality
is primarily cultural and incidentally political.
Quoting Prof. Hayes, Golwalkar says:
“...the idea contained in the word nation is a compound
of five distinct factors fused into one indissoluble whole, the
famous five units — geographical (country) and racial (race),
religious (religion), cultural (culture) and linguistic (language).
(Ibid p.18).
INDIAN GOVT. FOLLOWS BRAHMINIC SYSTEM
RSS never aspires for political power. At least they say so
and there is lot of truth in that statement. They stand for “nation” meaning
Brahminical control or domination over the country i.e. geographical
entity under their control.
Aryans are culturally superior because the people are under the
influence of Brahminic or vedic culture.
Even the Indian state (the Govt. of India) follows Brahminic culture,
It respects the Vedas, Ramayana, Gita more
than any scripture. The state respects the Sanskrit language the
most. No other language has such respect as Sanskrit. There are
Sanskrit universities all over India for a few hundred Sanskrit
learning Brahmins. On the contrary there is not even a single department
to learn the languages of Adivasis who constitute 10% of our population.
Gonds speaking Gondi language number lakhs but they have to learn
in Brahminic language. And above all the masses are insulted by
calling their speech, language as impure, rustic. They are not
only socially downgraded but linguistically and culturally insulted.
The people’s languages are inferior just like their castes
are.
It is said that if you kill the language you kill the nation.
Aryans have to a large extent killed the languages of Bahujans.
They have labelled Urdu as anti-national. Another way of side-
tracking or killing it. Language contains cultural traits and
social relations. Brahminism by killing the languages of Bahujans
killed the Bahujan culture and nation.
Golwalkar says Sanskrit is the national language of “Hindu
nation”. Hindi is sponsored by the Central Govt. as our national
language but RSS considers that declaration is done by the state
and not by the “nation”. This speaks how they are particular
about the “Hindu nation”.
HINDUS EQUATED WITH ARYAN
They say their religion is Hindu. But Hindu is equated with Aryan
and hence religion and race are synonymous. The other Hindu (non-Brahmins)
are not Hindus in the minds of the Brahmins. They are shudras i.e.
slaves.
RSS is run according to the thesis propounded by Golwalkar even
to this day. But where are we? Com. Ayyankali is perfectly right
in proposing that DV should be run like the RSS.
The readers of DV should give thought to his idea. Then not only
DV will survive but also you will be able to counter the “Hindu
nation”. RSS leaders say India is a “Hindu nation” because
very thing including the Indian state is being run as per their
wishes whichever political party runs the Indian state. Even Dalit
political parties dare not challenge them culturally. We are fooling
ourselves calling “political power as the master key”.

Iran attack underway?
U. KHALID, 3-BLACKLAND DR., HAYES, MDDX 8B4 8 EU,

Reports say President Bush told a meeting in Reno he has “authorized
the military commanders in Iraq to confront Teheran’s murderous
activities”. Those words come close to saying not that a
war is coming but that it is already here. Equipped with 97-0 resolution
in the Senate to confront Iran, the President may unleash a surprise
assault on Iran very soon. John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt’s
book, Israel Lobby, released here is under attack and
dubbed anti-semite.

to three weeks. (jjamesf@gmail.com).
RAW hand in Bangladesh student violence
MOHAMMAD ZAINAL ABEDIN, H.NO.9, ROAD-20, BLOCK-C,
SECT.-10, DHAKA - 1216
The tempest that rocked Dhaka from Aug.20 to 22 under the cover
of student protest was masterminded by India’s super intelligence
agency, RAW (Research and Analysis Wing).
RAW was behind the recent upheaval in Dhaka University (DU) and
other educational institutions when students attacked vehicles
and business installations. The situation was so grave that the
government was forced to impose curfew in Dhaka and five other
divisional headquarters to control the students belonging to pro-India
camp. They were joined by non-student hired hooligans and activists
belonging to different political parties and their front organizations
that enjoy RAW blessings.
The trouble started over a trifling matter — a football
match at DU playground to teach a “lesson” to the caretaker
government and undermine the image of Bangladesh armed forces.
The tempest struck when the country was recovering from scars of
India-created devastating floods.
The student riot spread to many other universities and even colleges
which had no connection with the DU playground incident. Cash distribution
was so open and enormous that the Army chief, Lt. Gen. Moeen U.
Ahmed, said the “evil power (meaning India) poured crores
of taka to instigate vandalism in the streets”.
RAW, they said, is engaged in disruptive activities in Bangladesh
ever since it came into being in 1971. No other country in this
region and beyond is against Bangladesh and no other intelligence
agency maintains so many tentacles and toadies in Bangladesh other
than the RAW.
A Bengali daily, Naya Diganta, of Dhaka said Indian diplomats
based in Rajshahi caused release of the three teachers of Rajshahi
University. Of these one was Prof. Moloy Kumar Bhowmic, a Hindu.
Indian High Commission officials were very active throughout the
student violence. Rajshahi University did not experience such a
violence in its 54-year existence.
Indian diplomats tried to influence the police not to prosecute
the culprits. It also said that many teachers and student leaders
of RU were on the payroll of RAW.
Barrister Mainul Hosen, the adviser for Law and Information, told
the BBC the involvement of foreign hands. (noa@agni.com)

COMMMUNICATION : “CASTE IDENITY”
In defence of Bojja Tarakam
NEERAV PATEL, 4-HEMANG PARK, VEJALPUR, AHMEDABAD
380 051
Thank you for publishing my Letter (DV, Aug, 16, 2007, p. 8) even
though it carried some criticism. Again I find in the current issue
that Bojja Tharakam criticised you at the Andhra Pradesh DVsilver
Jubilee Celebrations on Aug 12 at Hyderabad. I must praise your
democratic ethos when you allow such dissenting voices in DV.
But it does not go well with the champion of Dalit cause like
you when equally respectable but dissenting Dalit activists/ideologues
are attributed with practicing subtle casteism. You cannot necessarily
perceive them as taking their caste’s interest uppermost
just because they are born Mala or Madiga or Mahar or Chamar.
Dangerous evil: You deserve a lot more praise when you
take the side of the weakest of the weak among the Dalits and advocate
the principle of reservation to its logical end i.e. those who
are yet to avail the benefits of the scheme must be given their
due and, therefore, internal reservation (“categorisation”)
is the only just solution. Great and fine. This is nothing but
social justice. But I can’t understand how you can mix the
two issues — “caste identity” and “categorisation” (i.e.
extension of the principle of social justice and equality of opportunity,
fraternity of all human beings including among Dalits themselves
)?
I cannot take you as a petty propagandist, a pamphleteer involved
in his myopic mission; I know you are a great scholar, a great
philosopher, a great humanitarian, a great ideologue, a great revolutionary.
I simply can’t understand how you got possessed of this dangerous
evil called “caste identity”.
I find you and many other contributors every now and then lamenting
on this evil called “caste identity” plaguing
Dalit converts in the so-called egalitarian religions like Christianity,
Islam, Sikhism, Budhism. On the one hand you preach people to take
pride in their “caste identity”, engage in
their caste solidarity.
What do you want – caste without casteism ? It is like
Brahmin without Brahminism. I wonder, without abolishing caste
how one can fully get rid of casteism ?
You must read Moses Parmar again , and yet again. You must accept
universal brotherhood as an ideal and pride on the basis of any
identity other than the human identity is bound to backfire into
the concepts and practices of inferior-superior, high-low, pure-impure.
Whatever our struggle, we must never forget that it is for human
fraternity, human equality, human liberty. “Caste Identity” theory
in the name ethnic roots and knowing one’s history is nothing
but a tribal instinct and we must keep it restrained as the evolutionary
theory of mankind as a whole. The sooner you exorcise this ghost,
the saner you will become in the eyes of Dalit intellectuals/activists.
Bojja Tharakam is absolutely right, you are absolutely wrong my
dear friend, philosopher and guide. I am really crying when I write
to criticise you, as I love you too much and want to respect you
much more than that. I wish you many many more years of life, and
DV living longer than that. Having lost Dr. Ambedkar so early,
we Dalits can’t afford any more casualties. We have long
way to go and you have to live to guide us, my veteran leader.
With tears in eyes, Neerav, your loved one.
**********************************************
If DV is promoting casteism why Brahmins hate
it ?
Brother Neerav, Gujarat’s topmost Dalit poet, a long-standing
member of DV and an esteemed friend of the Editor, has been a critic
of our “caste identity” theory from the very
beginning. Fine. We always give priority to any criticism — even
if it is from Brahmins. That is how the five-year-long Debate on “caste
identity” began with our another esteemed Brother Bojja
Tarakam criticising our thesis. In he Debate that followed we published
every criticism but rejecting much of the Letters in praise of
our thesis. When the support to the thesis became overwhelming
and specially the Brahminical people, our principal enemy, gave
our thesis a fantastic certificate by their unanimous opposition,
we decided to close the Debate when the AP State Assembly passed “categorisation” Bill
and start writing a book itself on the subject. (DV May 1, 2000
p.9: “DV’s caste identity thesis gets peoples endorsement”).
Our book, Caste — A Nation Within the Nation, came
out in 2002 and gained instant popularity despite the Brahminical
toilet papers decision not to review the book. Even the international
award we got in London and reported by PTI was totally blacked
out. Such is the intensity of the Brahmin hatred towards our thesis.
BRAHMASTRA TO KILL BRAHMINISM
What does it mean? Our centuries-old sole single enemy hates our “caste
identity” thesis because it is convinced that it is
the Brahmastra to kill Brahminism. Did not Mao say “Love
what the enemy hates and hate what the enemy loves”?
When our war is against Brahminism and Babasaheb and every other
revolutionary fought and died fighting Brahminism, is it not our
duty to rejoice when Brahminism is hurt and starts bleeding because
of our Brahmastra?
We did not know that Neerav never read our book. All his questions
are answered in our book and yet he goes on raising the same questions
again and again because he did not read the book.
In the very state of Neerav (Gujarat), where Brahminism (Hinduism)
is staging its Tandav dance after killing 2,500 Muslims
at Gujarat Genocide-2002 using Dalits and tribals to do the job,
the ruling Patels are using the “caste identity” thesis
to kill the Monster Modi.
CASTE KILLING CASTEISTS
Brahmins and their party are worried that the people are getting
divided on caste lines and their Hindu and Hindutva are
going to the background. In Rajasthan, the Gujjars inside BJP revolted
against their party. Caste is killing the casteists (Brahminism).
We thought and thought for years perhaps a decade or so — on
how to kill Brahminism — our principal enemy. Brahminism
is disguising as Hinduism by annexing the non-Hindu SC/ST/BCs (65%)
and thereby becoming the country’s single largest “religion” — though
it is essentially the creed of only 15% Aryans. How to annihilate
Hinduism? With all the media, history books, public opinion being
the monopoly of this 15% Aryans how can we the slaves kill Brahminism?
So, after a decade-long thinking we found that the weapon we are
so desperately searching for so long is available inside our very
kitchen — the caste.
MALA-MADIGA FEUD
And when we stumbled upon this wonder weapon of “caste
identity” the Mala-Madiga feud did not break out.
We started the Debate with all honesty thinking that those Dalits,
well-versed in Babasaheb’s burning thoughts, would support
us because the entire “caste identity” thesis
is based on Ambedkarism. Yet, a small section of our people went
on raising objections even after we answered all their objections
quoting from Babasaheb’s words only. When “caste
identity” aims at equal sharing and equal caring,
assuring each caste (ethnic identity) its share in proportion
to its population, how can we be accused of dividing Dalits?
When the deprived Dalits demand only their share, how can the
Malas say such a demand will divide the Dalits?
Our Caste book in manuscript stage was read by scholars
in Oxford University and they said if it was submitted as a thesis
it would fetch an Oxford University doctoral degree.
Neerav’s single-point attack in his latest Letter is “caste
identity” will promote casteism. There is a whole
chapter in our book (Chapter-5: “Caste to kill casteism)
which is fully based on the thoughts of Babasaheb.
D.V. PROMOTING CASTEISM?
But Neerav says:
“Caste without casteism” is like Brahmin without Brahminism.
I wonder without abolishing caste how one can fully get rid of
casteism?
But even such a brilliant person like Neerav, who is himself a
victim of Brahminism, does not pause for a while before jumping
to this conclusion. If the Editor and DV are promoting casteism,
which is the other name for Brahminism, the Brahmins should have
been the happiest people. Why then they are after our blood? Why
can’t Neerav ponder before jumping into conclusion.
Every day we receive hate mails and threats from Brahmins.
Except killing us these killers of Gandhi have done all the damage
they could. Sama, dana, bedha are
over. Only the danda, the last weapon, is reserved.
If the Editor and DV are promoting casteism, the killers of Gandhi
should have loved us, given us awards and rewards.
MADIGAS ARE AN INDEPENDENT CASTE
Malas, Madigas and ever so many castes within the Scheduled Castes
in AP are not one single caste. Nor are they different subcastes
under the SCs. Scheduled Castes is plural. It is not singular.
It is a collection of several independent castes in which each
caste is a separate ethnic identity but living separately with
no inter-dining, inter-marriage or any other intercourse. The only
bond that binds them is untouchability. That is why they come under
the single umbrella of SCs. Barring this they have nothing else
in common. Babasaheb has cleared all these things decades back.
Bojja Tarakam continues to be our esteemed brother. Our differences
are not personal but intellectual. He was once the topmost leader
of the entire Untouchables of AP but when the Mala-Madiga feud
broke out he supported his Malas and the powerful Andhra Dalit
Maha Sabha died. The AP Dalits today are a house divided.
Enemies of Dalits are playing their part to keep the Malas and
Madigas divided in AP. In Maharashtra, they are behind the Mahar
monopoly which drove non-Mahars into Shiv Sena.
When DV celebrated its silver jubilee at Hyderabad both Malas,
Madigas and other smaller SC castes attended it because they all
know that DV stands for Ambedkarism. Even Bojja Tarakam came despite
this minor difference with the Editor.
CHAMARS OF U.P. BACKED BABASAHEB
Babasaheb was a Mahar (Mala) and he was proud of his caste. But
he never went against the interests of SC castes outside Mahar.
It is the Chamars of UP that popularised Ambedkarism in the North.
But it is the Mala leadership of AP that refused to support Kanshi
Ram because he was a Chamar.
ROLE OF GADDAR
Dalit movement is already very weak. Ambedkarites should do everything
to save it and bring it back to its original glory. For this we
must rise above Mala-Madiga feud.
In this we have to follow the noble example of Gaddar who despite
being a Mala is fully supporting the Madiga demand for proportional
share.
Or else the Brahminical enemies will go on fanning the feud and
further divide us.
One last question which Neerav must answer: If “caste
identity” thesis is going against the interest of
Dalits and “Dalit unity”, the Ambedkarites as a whole
should have rejected it and also dumped DV. But DV is fully supported
by the entire Chamars who constitute the single largest Untouchable
caste in the Hindi heartland comprising several states. Bahujan
Samaj Party also supported us. Besides an overwhelming lot among
the fair-minded Mahars, Malas and others have also supported
us. Why?
INDIA IS NOT A NATION
Our “caste identity” thesis is not meant
only for Dalits. It is for the entire country— including
Brahmins.
India is not a “nation”, it is a country of several
warring “nations”. It is only the caste that comes
nearest to the concept of a “nation”. “Caste
identity” helps each weaker caste to gain caste consciousness
and then demand its share in proportion to its population. “Caste
identity” is the deadliest weapon to kill Brahminism.
There is no other weapon. Brahmins know it. But not Neerav. This
is the tragedy of India — EDITOR.
Brahmin communist leader Dange killed party to save his jati
COMRADE AYYANKALI
On July 24, Aug.16 and Sept.6, 1947, the Brahmin head of the undivided
Communist Party of India, Shripad Amrit Dange, was in Moscow for
discussion with A.A. Zhdanov and M.A. Suslov — the two leading
theorists of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). The
Brahmin crook was later expelled from the CPI for writing a foreword
to his daughter’s book saying the “entire wisdom of
Karl Marx came from the Vedas”.
He was asked if caste or national interest that dominated
the democratic movement in India. But the Vaidik Dange
did not offer any straight reply. He simply said that there were
60 million Untouchables in India and they did not favour the Congress.
He then claimed that the communists and the others were trying
to bring them to their fold. This again was an unsubstantiated
claim.
DR. AMBEDKAR REJECTS MARXISM
In fact, according to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s writings though
the unions in the cotton mills of Bombay were mostly under the
communists, the Untouchables were still a segregated community.
During the 1940s, a few Indian Trotskyites led by a White South
African Trotskyite, Dr. Murray Gow Purdy, met Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
However, Dr. Purdy failed to persuade Dr. Ambedkar to adopt Trotskyite
communism, even though Dr. Ambedkar was a confirmed anti-capitalist
and often made reference to marxism.
But Dr. Ambedkar was also very much aware of India’s
Brahminical manuwadi marxists whom he called “a
bunch of Brahmin boys”, misusing marxism to deliberately
obscure, obfuscate and mechanically distort the question of caste,
by denying that it is essentially a class construct which is
part of the base and not merely superstructure.
Because of this possibility Dr. Ambedkar rejected Dr. Purdy’s
Trotskyism also. However, Dr. Purdy was convinced that Dalits alone
held the key to communist revolution in India. He wrote:
For the first time in its history we proudly affirm that the hereditary
proletarians forming the Untouchable Harijan class shall
be the spinal chord of the proletarian government, of which the
industrial proletariat must be the head. Unlike the Stalinist Communist
Party (then undivided CPI) we openly state our independence upon
and integral unity with the Harijan (Dalit) propertyless
proletarian class. Our work must be among our Harijan brethren,
and we must oppose the treacherous gandhian propaganda among them.
DALIT MILL WORKERS OF BOMBAY
Dr. Purdy opposed both erstwhile Brahminical CPI as well as Gandhi.
But unlike Dr. Ambedkar, Dr. Purdy believed in armed, bloody and
violent Dalit revolution which clearly went beyond even Leon Trotsky’s “Open
Letter to the workers of India”.
Dr. Purdy set out to organise Dalit mill workers in Bombay and
actually succeeded in launching a struggle against discrimination
by upper caste mill workers against Dalit workers in the early
1940s. Dalit workers enthusiastically supported Dr. Purdy and the
Trotksyite Party started gaining support at the expense of the
CPI unions. The newly formed Dalit Workers’ Union led by
Dr. Pudry opposed the British as well.
The Brahmin Dange misled the CPI, the Bania textile mill owners.
The British were shocked at the development. A panic-stricken
Dange began shouting that Dr. Purdy was breaking “working
class unity”. He used naked upper caste chauvinism to uphold
the discrimination of Dalit workers by Brahminical labour aristocrats.
MIM’S REVOLUTIONARY LEADERSHIP
This is exactly how today’s communist parties run by White
labour aristocrats in the USA ignore the discrimination against
Blacks, Latino as well as coloured workers under the name of “working
class unity” and exploit them.
Only the Black African-led Maoist International Movement (MIM)
has exposed that there is no such thing called a White working
class in today’s USA.
Dange gave orders to the upper caste workers to smash the Trotskyite
(Dalit) unions. Dr. Purdy was forced to quit India. He died unsung,
even the Trotskyists abroad refusing to endorse his line that Dalits
and Bahujans are India’s Organic revolutionary vanguard proletariat.
They dubbed him “flamboyant, sectarian, ultra-left adventurer”,
who confused class with caste. He was denounced by Trotskyists
for peddling Third Period Stalinist politics in Trotskyite guise.
Trotskyists continue to criticise his “Harijans as
revolutionary vanguard” theory as having anticipated Fanon’s “New
Left Dogma”, the most oppressed are the most revolutionary.
He was been accused by Trotskyists of abandoning marxism itself.
Finally, Dange and Nehru, both Brahmins, collaborated politically
to finish off Dr. Ambedkar and his RPI. While Nehru’s Congress
propped up a corrupt Brahminised Dalit like Jagjivan Ram against
Dr. Ambedkar, CPI went on to actively and deliberately distort
all caste-based questions and systematically discriminated against
Dalits within the party. All these details were deliberately hidden
and buried by Brahminical elements in India’s fake communist
movement. Such is the stinking and rotten record of our Manuwadi communist
parties in India.
But some questions surely arise:
Why did a White South African Trotskyite easily see through all
the Brahminical labour aristocrat obfuscation by CPI Manuwadis
like Dange? Is it because Dr. Purdy was familiar with casteism-style racist apartheid
in South Africa? Why is it that Dalit Voice finds it easy
to understand Steve Biko who said “Let us stop learning how
to fight White settlers from the Whites themselves?” Why
does MIM seem to understand that caste is an expression of class?
GADDAR’S LEADERSHIP
Would history have been different if Dr. Ambedkar had joined hands
with Dr. Purdy — who was accused of Stalinism — to
launch an armed, bloody, violent struggle? Would it have been possible
for today’s Brahminical manuwadi fake Maoists to
monopolise Maoism and misuse it against the Dalits if such an armed,
bloody and violent struggle had been led by Dr. Ambedkar? Is it
time for the Bahujans and Dalits to revolt against their Brahminical
upper caste misleaders in CPI-CPM and set up their own armed revolutionary
Maoist party under Dalit Comrade Gaddar — adopting MIM thought?
Is it not time to use “caste identity” theory
and launch simultaneous caste-class struggle? Is the armed revolutionary
Dalit-led splinter group from Brahminical fake Maoist Party called
the Tritiya Maoist Prastuti Committee already a step ahead in doing
the right thing? Now that it is clear that both Budha and Dr. Ambedkar
sanctioned violence against Brahminical oppressors (DV Sept.1,
2007 p. 5: “Even Dr. Ambedkar sanctioned violence against
oppressors”). For how long should Dalits and Bahujans
blindly continue to reject armed revolutionary struggle to win
their human rights?
Babasaheb supported “categorisation”
M.N. ACHARYA, AMBEDKAR BHAVAN, D.NO. 4-6-37, SATTENAPALLI,
GUNTUR DT. - 522 403
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar supported “categorization” (caste
identity) of the SCs in his book, States and Minorities.
Under the head “safeguards for the Scheduled Castes”,
he said:
Clause-1: right to representation in the Legislature
(1) Quantum of Representation:-(a) The Scheduled Castes shall
have minimum representation in the Legislature —Union and
State— and if there be a group Constitution then in the
group Legislature equal to the ratio of their population to the
total population. Provided that no other minority is allowed to
claim more representation than what is due to it on the basis of
its population.
(4) Weightage carved out from the share of majority shall not
be assigned to one community only. But the same shall be divided
among all minority communities equally or in inverse proportion
to their - (1) economic position, (2) social status, and (3) educational
advance.
Clause-2
(1) The Scheduled Castes shall have minimum representation in
the Executive — Union and State — and if there be a
group Constitution then in the group executive equal to the ratio
of their population to the total population. Provided that no minority
community is allowed to claim more than its population.
Clause-3 : Right to representation in the
services.
(a) The quantum of representation of the Scheduled Castes in the
services shall be as follows:
(i) In the Union services: - in proportion to the ratio of their
population to the total population in India or British India as
the case may be.
(ii) In the state and group services:- In proportion to their
population in the State or Union.
(iii) In the Municipal and local board services: - In proportion
to their population in the municipal and local boards areas: Provided
that no minority community is allowed to claim more than its population
ratio of representation in the services.
Part V - Interpretation
1. For the purpose of Article-II the Scheduled Castes, as defined
in the Government of India Scheduled Caste Order, 1936, issued
under the Government of India Act, 1935, shall be deemed to be
a minority.

BOOK REVIEW:-
Maratha scholar’s call to destroy Brahminism
DR. K. JAMANADAS, “SHALIMAR”, MAIN
ROAD, CHANDRAPUR - 442 402
This is a new Marathi book just published. The author, M. M. Deshmukh,
is a noted Bahujan author of Maharashtra and one of the pioneers
of a new religion, Shiva Dharma. Like his many more books,
this also is very educative and is meant for the awakening of the
Bahujan masses.
Few words about the author. As a professor of History, he, wrote
in a history book that Ramadas was no guru of Shivaji
but was a spy of Aurangzeb. Volunteers of Ramdasi Samaj planned
the funeral yatra of the author. But his Ambedkarite students
saved his life and the funeral yatra was converted into
victory march. His book was banned by the govt. but later released
by the High Court. He was honored in various places in Maharashtra.
I presided over an event honoring him in my city. That was some
40 years ago.
VAIDIK FALSE HISTORY
Later he joined BSP and became its state vicepresident. We shared
the dais on many occasions. I have his views in my book, Maratha
Revolt against Brahmanism in 21st Century (available in DV
office). I believe he was one of those responsible for calming
down the riots against the Riddles.
The book is so important for Adivasis, VJNTs, Dalits, Bahujans,
Budhists, Ambedkarites and even Harijans and Brahmins,
that I may be excused for this lengthy review. It has 16 chapters.
The book is available also as a VCD (Rs. 40), which the author
promotes as Aapali Chanel.
Chapter-I describes the modus operandi of Brahmin pundits
and how they write false history. How the Brahminic authors have
created a lot of nuisance in the field of history by way of historical
novels, poetry, stories, dramas and cinemas is explained. When
challenged by knowledgeable people, they say that they are not
historians but fiction writers. Obvious reference is to the so-called Shiva
Shahir Purandare. Author warns against such people.
Chapter-II deals with Indus Valley Civilization, claiming it to
be Bahujan Civilization having no temples but omits to mention
the existence of a stupa there.
SANSKRIT ORIGINATED FROM PALI
Chapter-III is titled “Vedas, Vedic religion and Vedic culture
do not exit”. Author believes that many verses from the Vedas
have been stolen from the indigenous Indians. He refutes that the
verses in the Vedas are ancient, and suggests that the Brahmin
pundits have written down the Vedas during the last 200 years of
the 19th century.
Ninety-five percent of Bahujan Samaj is outside the Brahminic
religion. Their gods, rites, worship, bhajans, devotional
songs, rites of birth, marriage and death etc. are all different
from those of the Brahmins.
The primitive man sang praising nature and numerous such poems
are in existence unwritten among the indigenous Indians. Also the
incoming Aryans had them. There was tremendous change in their
sayings during last 3,000 years, that none of the original poems
exists today. Vedas were not written, the Aryans did not know the
art of writing, but the Indians did, as seen in Harrapan Civilization.
As original Vedas are not available, there cannot be a Vedic religion
or Vedic culture. The author says he does not consider Veda or Manusmriti as garanths,
because had they been printed then, they would be of the size of
book of cinema songs.
The language also was not chaste and pure. They corrected their
language according to Pali grammar. Today nobody understands the
language of Vedic suktas. Vedas have been destroyed because
of constant interpolations and did not remain ancient anymore.
VAIDIKS LOVED SEX
Now it is proved by scholars like Sadar, that Sanskrit originated
from Pali and Marathi. In reality, Sanskrit is post-Budhistic,
and explains how it came into existence after the Budha. As the
Brahmins, for their selfish motives, praised and pleased locals
and provided them women but committed atrocities over the weak,
they needed a code language like the thieves and beggars do.
Thus originated Sanskrit by stealing words from Pali, Marathi
etc.
Thus the Vedas are not ancient, they are not written by god, they
are not infallible, they do not contain any knowledge and 95% Indians
never bother even to look at them.
Their society was primitive, they had no marriage or family system
and they used to enjoy women in common, drink in common and praise
nature in common. We do not blame them, avers author, but we cannot
tolerate the Brahmin pundits projecting their nomadic beggar, barbarian
ancestors as scientists, philosophers, and omniscient just to denigrate
the Bahujans.
The original verses of the Vedas are not available, what are available
are not understandable, and many verses added later are mostly
of the indigenous people. There is nothing benevolent in them but
are full of immorality, incivility and packed with meaningless
nonsense. Such a book is called “sacred” though nobody
can have any respect for it. The Rig Veda is full of obscene
verses.
Brahmin pundits have written that Aryans came down fighting, and
defeated original Indians. This is not correct. Because Brahmins
do not like to fight and they were never a fighting race. They
gained entry not by fighting but by begging compassion, showing
courteous, admiring and flattering behavior, showing helplessness,
praising the locals, speaking sweet words, singing panegyrics,
and providing women to them.
Chapter-IV describes various reasons for the rise of Budhism and
describes the life of the Budha, the principles and the literature
in detail and describes also the reasons for the spread of Budhism
in the whole world. He also describes the effects of Budhism on
Indian life for thousands of years claiming that Budhism affected
all sects in India. The Mahabharata, the Gita, Nath cult,
Ramanand, Kabir, Tukaram, Mahanubhava etc. all are affected.
Chapter-V deals with all that happened after the death of the
Budha, the various convocations, origin of the various sects in
Budhism.
MANU SMRITI IS ANTI-NATIONAL
Chapter-VI deals with all the kings and rulers who helped spread
Budhism explaining life and works of Asoka, Milinda, Kanishka,
Harsha, Nalanda University etc.
Chapter-VII deals with spread of Budhism outside India and work
of three great Chinese travellers, Fa Hain, Huen Tsang and Itsing.
Then follows the description of countries under the influence of
Buddhism. Among them are Java, Sumatra, Siam, Myanmar, Ceylon,
Afghanistan, Central Asia, China, Tibet, Korea, Japan, Greece,
and America.
Chapter-VIII deals with the Manu Smriti narrating its
anti-national attitude. The author emphasizes that to understand
the need of Budhism and Shiva Dharma for the Bahujans
today, it is necessary to understand the anti-national nature of
Hindu literature like the Vedas and Manusmriti etc. New
translations are coming in order to change the old meaning. He
warns and asks the Bahujans to be cautious. As examples, he quotes
how the meanings of women’s independence and of madhupark are
changed in recent book of Manu. Quoting of words from Manu, and
explaining the life of Peshava ruler Bajirao-I, he explains the
real biological father of Bajirao-I, was not the Peshava Balaji
Viswanath.
Explaining the degraded condition of women made by Manu, he exclaims
the degradation of women done by Manu is not seen in any other
book in the world. The author asks the readers not to take revenge
against the Brahmins and avers that the best way of taking revenge
is only to empower yourself and rise to great heights and start
working for empowerment of the Bahujans.
Chapter-IX deals with the life, scholarship, writings and work
of Karmveer Vithal Ramji Shinde, a Bahujan scholar of high repute
who flourished during 1873 to 1944, and worked for betterment of
Bahujans and Dalits. This is an important chapter because even
many Ambedkarites do not know much about the personality of this
great scholar.
It also explains the non-Brahmin movement during Tilak, who had
refused to sign a declaration not to follow untouchability. The
revolutionary views of Shinde on Vedas, Puranas, Bhagwat religion,
his elaboration of ancient history, culture of Marathas, origin
of Brahmanism and his love for Budhism are worth studying by Ambedkarites.
JUDICIAL TERRORISM
Chapter-X deals with Dr. Ambedkar’s works on Budhism. Chapter-XI
deals with Dr. Ambedkar’s conversion to Budhism. Chapter-XII
narrates Dr. Ambedkar’s full speech at the time of conversion.
Chapter-XIII remembers Dr. Ambedkar and laments his loss for the
Bahujan movement and how various Brahmin institutions including
judiciary are playing havoc. Chapter- XIV deals with preliminaries
of Shiva Dharma. Chapter-XV clarifies many doubts about Shiva
Dharma.
Those who have read my book, Maratha Revolt against Brahmanism
in 21st century, would be conversant with the views expressed.
The author declares that Bahujans are not impractical that they
would give up all the temples and the property, which is really
a Bahujan property, to the Brahmins. Bahujans should purify all
Brahmin temples, debrahminize them and convert them into temples
of learning, knowledge and science, into hostels, libraries,
study rooms, hospitals, and for other useful purposes meant for
progress of Bahujans.
Chapter-XVI is eulogical and contains articles by Purushottam
Khedekar and Jaimini Kadu explaining work of M. M. Deshmukh, praising Sambhaji
Brigade and wishing the proposed rule of Shiva Dharma.
I cannot overemphasize the importance of this book for Bahujans
and wish that it be translated in other regional languages.
