Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders like Praveen Togadia, Ashok Singhal, Giriraj Kishore etc. never miss an opportunity for exploiting “Hindu sentiments” on political, social and religious issues on the slightest provocation. Ambedkarites have no faith in Ram. Dr. Ambedkar had also branded the Ramayana as a book based on blind faith and sheer imagination. Ram had killed Dalit Rishi Shambuk just because he had dared to worship and perform rituals. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister called Ram a drunkard as stated in the Valmiki Ramayan. On the other hand, L.K. Advani does not have the guts to start a debate on this issue.

The Hindu terrorists are still sticking to orthodoxy and blind faith. Dalits, backwards and the poor should not be swayed by the religious sentiments and should develop a scientific temper for the development of the country.

CLOSING DOWN DV

If DV is closed India will have no revolution but only darkness

This is my extremely anguished and concerned response to your Editorial, “When Dalits do not even get angry how revolution is possible? Thoughts at London DV function” (Aug.16, 2007). You say:

“What is the use of running a journal, incurring the displeasure of the ruthless ruing class, when its readers show no sign of anger, let alone revolt?”

“The most important pre-requisite for a revolution is anger. Babasaheb Ambedkar was a very angry person. Oppressed people yearning for social change must first get dissatisfied with their existing state of affairs. Their blood must start boiling over their exploitation, poverty, crushed human rights. The anger in the boiling heart of each oppressed individual — man and woman — will then overflow from the house into the streets. And then like a contagion it will spread and sweep the whole society. That is the beginning of the revolution.”

“Is there any such burning of hearts or boiling of blood in India today? Sorry, we see no such signs even when the Brahminical rulers are mercilessly crushing our people. It is the rulers who are furious with us.”

You are very, very true indeed. I am not rubbishing your sentiments. I have no right to do that. But in all humility, I ask you a few simple questions. How many Dalits know to read and write? Out of those who can read and write, how many are thinkers? You already know the answer.

Out of that how many can become Babasahebs and V.T. Rajshekars? You know the answer.

Why don’t you realise the simple fact that if all Bahujans had your knowledge and understanding, Brahminical forces would already be extinct by now?

FALSE CONSCIOUSNESS

Certainly you have contributed a lot and you have every legitimate right to feel frustrated — precisely the way you are feeling. But don’t you also think that you are thinking like a typical intellectual? Why don’t you understand that an average Bahujan is not a V.T. Rajshekar? Average Bahujan is full of false consciousness called Brahminism — better known as Hinduism.

No doubt you are a very angry person. If you had been full of such false consciousness brainwashed from childhood how could you be so angry? Brahminical culture of casteism, karma and non-violence, have made unthinking asses out of our people.

BURNING OF DECCAN QUEEN

Why blame innocent Bahujans who are victims in every way? Especially the OBCs are more Brahminical than the Brahmins themselves. More loyal than the king. This is merely like a kidnap victim praising his kidnappers which is called the “Stockholm Syndrome” in psychiatry. If a genius like you refuses to understand this who then will understand?

My basic complaint is that you are thinking like a typical intellectual. This is an appeal to stop doing that.

Victims of Brahminism since centuries cannot be expected to wake up and become intellectuals in mere 26 years. So, my request is these victims must not be blamed for simply being what they are. Stop equating — even if sub-consciously — Dalit anger with DV subscriptions.

Despite all their hurdles Dalits are still looking for messiahs to liberate them. They are still burning Deccan Queen despite the Brahminical subversion of Budhism with so-called non-violence. Yes, most certainly much more ought to be done.

CASTE-CLASS STRUGGLE

You have merely taken up the task of “educate”. Babasaheb took up “educate” besides “agitate” as well as organising political parties like Independent Labour Party as well as RPI in worse conditions than what prevails today. Budha also did the same.

Why don’t you also do the same? You may say: “How much more can I do alone?” Yes, you are right. Finding solutions to problem of several centuries of false consciousness is the main ask.

But solutions are not mere theories. Solutions means active practice and applications in concrete real-life situations.

If the Bahujan is a fool full of Brahminical false consciousness with which he is brainwashed with, then we should be thinking about how to practically force him to open his eyes.

This is not anything unique to our present era. So, do not simply despair and become a victim of a perhaps subconscious sophisticated fatalism and pessimism.

Right theories do exist and you are the architect of that — caste-class struggle and “caste identity” theory.

The objective conditions too exist and contradictions too are becoming sharper with each passing day. Extremely promising opportunities too are being thrown up by history. So there is no need to be so pessimistic and full of despair.

HOW TO MAKE REVOLUTION

Revolution will come when the V.T. Rajshekars of the world turn the poor victims (fools and cowards) by various means like counter-fooling them, counter-brainwashing them or simply counter-threatening the victims to overthrow the crooked- wise Brahminical villains. In every epoch and era, this is how revolutions have been carried out — and this era too is no different.

How to counter-fool the brainwashed Bahujan fools whose very reflexes have been conditioned by the Brahminical culture and karma for centuries right from childhood? How to counter-brainwash them against the wise Brahminical villains? How to counter-threaten the Bahujan cowards and traitors and get them to act against the “wise” Brahminical villains?

WILL PURE INTELLECTUAL LOGIC ALONE WORK?

The answer is a very clear, simple and emphatic no. Because the illiterate and ignorant Bahujan working class is full of brainwashed false Brahminical consciousness and superstition. He is unlikely to read and understand things. He is unlikely to do logical deduction like a typical intellectual. He is more likely to learn from personal experiences and fait accompli more than anything.

So how to create such a fait accompli situation where he will be forced to burn the Deccan Queens spontaneously? How to do this in a situation where only extremely grave provocations like Khairlanji or symbolic acts like Dr. Ambedkar statue desecration moves him to act? This is the real question.

How to create fait accompli situations where he will be forced to act because he has simply no choice? Creating such extremely grave situations repeatedly and regularly until revolution takes place is what differentiates the revolutionary from an intellectual.

You have created all the tools: caste-class struggle and “caste identity” theory. How to apply them to create such extremely grave fait accompli situations using these tools which makes even the most degenerate brainwashed Bahujan subhuman flare up in uncontrollable anger?

JEHAD

Please note —the key word here is apply — just like the Budha, Babasaheb, Marx, Lenin, Mao and Black Panthers did. All of them ran publications. But they also went much beyond that. All of them went beyond journalism. Without application, all theory will merely remain in books. That is why Lenin is always much more important than even Marx.

So how to apply these tools in such a way that even the most brainwashed, degenerate Bahujan subhuman angrily starts burning?

Such methods like a movement to rebuild Babri Masjid, Bodh Gaya will lead to cultural revolution. In other words the path of Agitation (jehad) which all revolutionaries from Babasaheb burning Manusmriti and organising mass conversions to Mao.

Agitation is what matters. We have to learn from counter-revolutionaries like Nathuram Godse who actively practised whatever they preached. That is exactly what Budha, Babasaheb, Marx and Lenin also did — the active practice of agitation.

I dare say that bifurcating theory from practice is nothing else but Brahminism itself. Brahmins knew Pythogoras theorem much before Pythagoras but they could not create even a cork screw because they simply refused to integrate mathematics with blacksmithy.

You are already guiding thousands of people to practise and you rightly deserve all credit for that. You guided Kanshi Ram. I also appreciate that it is not always possible for you to actively practise your theory due to several practical reasons.

But you can certainly do one thing — keep Dalit Voice alive at any cost. That itself will be a very very big thing.

All your talk of simply shutting down DV is extremely tragic and sounds like sophisticated proto-fatalism. It is irrational because you already know rationally that revolution is not a linear process. History is not linear. So you have no other choice but continue to bear “the wise man’s burden”.

Yes, it has been, it is and it will always remain the wise man’s burden and responsibility to do this. Nobody else can do this task. What to do? If only there were replacements.. If only there were several V.T. Rajshekars.

But since that is not the concrete reality of today, dear VTR, you have no choice but to carry on and persevere until your very death even if revolution does not come. I dare say that this is your curse and your boon as well.

Revolution may come 20 years after your death. But can you unlearn or delearn your knowledge and experience? If you close down DV will you get sound sleep and be satisfied — even at your age?

Therefore, all I can request you is that please do not close down DV. It will be the greatest unmitigatable tragedy which you will not be able to rectify even with your most sincere repentance.

At the most what will happen, there will be no revolution and circulation will go down further right? Things cannot become worse than that. Perhaps you may lose money.

But don’t kill Dalit Voice. Do anything, but do not kill it or close it down.

Trust me, in your frustration, sorrow and anger, you may not realise what you are doing. You will not be able to forgive yourself, especially when you yourself admitted that “caste-class struggle” is only intensifying and getting even sharper. Given such a situation, will it be right to shut down DV like a bloody bourgeoisie Brahminical Bania capitalist toilet rag which is run merely for profit?

Words are already failing me and I don’t know how to convince you. But I am convinced that you will be totally wrong to shut down DV at this stage.

“Caste identity” having clicked DV must jump into it

At our age, we want to do something worthwhile or not at all. I can, therefore, understand your anxiety. But there are two aspects to this anxiety. One is what to do with Dalit Voice whose circulation is not picking up. Two, after the idea of caste being the ethnic identity of Dalits (and other castes) and therefore they should strengthen their “caste identity”, rather than work for the farce called ‘casteless society’ that can never be achieved by legislation. That big idea should now be the focus of DV campaign. I will take up the second point first.

My education by you and other Dalit friends leads me to the conclusion that Dr Ambedkar made one mistake and one great decision. (1) The mistake was to sign the “Poona Pact” and accept joint electorate with the Hindus; (2) the great decision was to convert to Budhism. Both those decisions need to be reviewed.

Conversion: I was struck by the latest book by M.C. Raj, Dalitocracy, where he proposes proportional representation for all faiths and castes in India. However, proportional representation (PR) is not possible without separate electoral lists. But the idea of PR is better than the widely reviled Seperarte Electorate. PR, which is in vogue in every country of Europe, does not only cater for a fixed allocation of seats to every caste, it also caters for the eventuality that a caste — or a group of castes — form multiple parties. I, therefore, believe that one big new idea is PR.

Dr. Ambedkar decided to convert to Budhism but the Budhist neither had a community inside India to embrace them nor did the Budhist world show any enthusiasm for the new converts. Those who converted to Christianity fared better but the Whites who lead the Christian world are essentially racist and imperialist. The Christian world is more welcoming but the curtain of apartheid is lifted only partially for those who convert to Christianity. But Islam is different; its adherents are 16 % of the population of India (who are mostly Dalit converts) thus making them the largest faith community in India. Conversion to Islam provide the converts with a large welcoming indigenous community. Elsewhere in the world of Islam also, there is a revival of the Da’awa Movement which has a powerful base in India in the shape of the Tablighi Jamaat. The second big idea can be: “We have tried conversion to Budhism, many have embraced Christianity, but Dalits will be truly empowered by conversion to Islam”. That will make India the biggest Muslim nation and provide a sound basis for a quest for the re-unification of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

It is only after you have made the decision to come up with a new set of objectives that you can decide what to do with DV. You may like to move to Delhi and make it a weekly; and establish a new Jamia Millia or transform the present one. Sky is indeed the limit. I do not know of any other Dalit leader who has the courage to charter such a bold course. We both do not have much time left in this world. Let us do something really worthwhile.

I don’t understand to what extent you expect that I can help? I am an old-age pensioner and have no other income. If I can renew my subscription on March 2008 I will double my payment to $200. Compared to similar magazines on international scale, the price ought to be doubled. Many libraries might subscribe to DV if they knew of it.

Caste is a nation is universal truth

Few words of Brother Gurnam Singh Muktsar (DV Sept.1, 2007 p.9) saying “DV has changed my life” (p.9), T.R. Azad saying “Supreme truth of caste as our nation” (p.15) by Joginder Singh. Then why disappointment to Muktsar?

“Caste” as our identity is not only the whole truth but it is a universal truth. India has 6,743 “nations” as castes. Brahminical people know this. But our so-called Ambedkarites are crying for a “casteless society”. Because they enjoy facilities which are given by Babasaheb Ambedkar. They use only the name of Babasaheb for selfish reasons. Editor V.T. Rajshekar will preside over the function. Dalit Voice successfully completed 25 long years and had celebrations at national and international levels facing all odds and hurdles while defending the Dalit-Bahujans and minorities and their constitutional rights. Even after 60 years of “independence”, over 85% of the country’s oppressed are facing persecution.

Quran calls Budha a prophet: Muslims must befriend Dalits

This refers to the Letter of Dr. K. Jamanadas (DV Aug.16, 2007, p.17).

Having read Singh Senapati, a book by Rahul Sankritayan, I concluded that Gautam Budha was an Indian prophet. Singh Senapati was a scholar who lived at the time of Budha and had recorded his conversation with Budha. This revealing book was discovered by Rahul Sankrityayan, a linguist of our time. I had read this book in 1976.

When Gautam was asked who he was, he said he was a Margadhata (prophet). Such prophets are in lakhs. The Quran mentions only a few of them. The name of Budha is included. Budha’s name was Siddartha when he was child. It became Gautam. When he got the revelation at Gaya, he became the Budha —a man of wisdom. The Quran does not have these different names but mentions Gutam Budha as the inhabitant of Kapila where he was born. The word of the Quran is as follows:

And (remember) Ismail, Idris and Zulkifl, all (men) of constancy and patience. (Sura Ambia 85).

QURAN NOT FOR MUSLIMS ONLY

In Sura Sad, the name of Zulkifl is also mentioned, meaning “man of Kifl”. In Arabic, alphabet P is absent. Kifl would have been Kipl if there was P in Arabic, commentators of the Quran failed to identify the “man of Kipl or Kapilauptill now as they searched him in vain in the history of Middle East. Budha’s message reached as far as in Syria. The man of Kifl should have been known to them. But due to ignorance of Budhist history in Syria, Arabs failed to recognize the “man of Kifl”. Abdullah Yusuf Ali says in his commentary:

The commentators differ in opinion as to who is meant, why the title is applied to him and the point of his being grouped with Ismail and Idris for constancy and patience.

A Hindu scholar has identified the “man of Kapila” as Gautam Budha. This discovery proves that the Quran is not for the Arabs alone. The Arab people alone cannot discover the whole truth from the Quran. Muslims of India should read more and more non-Aryan literature so that they can discover the Quranic truth. The pre-Aryan Untouchables, shudras, Budhas were all Muslim.

MUSLIMS MUST FIGHT BRAHMINISM

Aryans as idol-worshippers, had destroyed Indian Islamic culture of bygone days. Dalit culture, Sikh culture today. When the “dead” language of Mahenjodaro and Harappa tells their contents, Indian Islamic culture will get enriched.

The Muslims should know the anti-Aryan trend of history of past and present Indian generation. They should explore the furious Brahmin-Budhist conflict and make friendship with Budhists to fight the combined forces of Brahminism and zionism.

The Brahmin-Budhist conflict in our days is indeed the fight between the old kitabi people and non-kitabi people as the fight between Roman and Persian at the time of the prophet was. Due to lack of historical knowledge Muslims are unable to read the sign of god in the present-day historical turmoil.

“Caste war” is a great boon to the Muslims. It is a blessing in disguise.

Zionism will be finished when the real picture of Jesus Christ will strike the mind of the West. Similarly, Brahminism will be finished when the real picture of Budha comes before the East. Budha and Jesus, the two predecessors of the last Prophet, Muhammad, is therefore very very important to the Islamic people. These two great prophets still have a big hold on the minds of a large number of people in the world.

The Quran has cleared the picture of Jesus. Similarly we should clear the picture of Budha through research work. Jews hate Jesus and call him a bastard child but Christians love Jesus as god. The Quran rejects both these pictures of Jesus and describes him as a prophet.

Brahmins fabricated the picture of Budha as an avtar of god and the decadent Budhists call him an atheist. Both these pictures are wrong. He was actually a great prophet like Idris and Ismail. He was ranked as man of knowledge like Ibrahim, Nuh, Musa and Isa in Sura Ambia of the Quran.

BUDHA ATE BEEF

The Quran described the religion of Muhammad and the religion of the past prophets ranging from Ibrahim to Isa as the same religion. All the true followers of old prophets should follow the teaching of the last revealed scripture of god as it was followed by Muhammad.

Hadis (sayings of the prophet) says a time will come when the whole world will accept Islam after the defeat of zionism and Brahminism. Most probably that process has begun.

Budha ate beef with Singh Senapati. He rejected the charge he was an atheist. He preached compassion, love. Budha rejected the Vedas, priesthood, idol-worship, caste system of the Brahmins. He denied the superiority of the Brahmins. He preached the idea of a formless god. Hence his opponents condemned him saying that he had no god and that he was an atheist, he was against dharma. What is this dharma? To obey Brahmins and their cock and bull story? He rightly rejected this dharma as he was a prophet.

Budha is still the greatest Indian. Indian people became civilized by his teaching. India was liberated from the mythological darkness. India was glorified by him. India again may attain that greatness if the Indians rediscover him in the truest sense.

Imtiaz Yusuf (Prof. of Human Resources Development and senator of Mahidul University of Thailand) quoting Prof. Hamidullah said:

In line with the Quranic view of prophethood, Budha can be regarded as one among the previous prophets. According to him the mention of the big tree in chapter 95, verse of the Quran allowed to the prophethood of the Budha. He comes to this conclusion since Budha is said to have received his enlightenment under a wild big tree. And that the big tree does not figure prominent in the lines of any named prophets. (The Muslim Reader — special issue p.30).

WHY BENGAL BUDHISTS WENT TO ISLAM

In another place Budha called himself Maitreya, the benefactor of humanity. Budha informed us of the 24 prophets who came before him. In India, the prophets were called Tirthankars as they were called Paigamber in Iran. Twenty-four Tirthankars had come before him, Budha is the descendent of the prophet Ibrahmin as Jesus and Mohammed. Jesus and Mohammed came after him. Their religion is one and same.

Rambai Pandit, a Budhist scholar of Bengal, said in Sunnapuran in Bengali that Adam, Brahma (Ibrahim) and Mohammed all were same teacher. That is why the Budhists of Bengal quickly converted to Islam. Brahmins became furious and they called the new Muslim nere, that is nara or shaven. Brahmins were unshaved, uncivilized but Budhists were shaven and civilized. Neo-Muslims were called uncivilised.

After becoming Muslims the Budhists became revolutionary militants. Brahmin-Budhist conflicts turned a new leaf.

CHAITANYA’S MISCHIEF

The first Bengali book is named Charyapada, written by the Budhists of the 10th century. Their agonies were recorded in this book which was discovered in Tibet as the then Budhists fled from Bengal and took shelter there. No translation is available either in Hindi or English.

Chaitanya shaved his head to fool the Budhists. He came from Sylhet (Assam) to prevent Budhist and lower castes conversion into Islam. He became a monk for strategic reasons to hide his Brahminism.

He made the Untouchables Baisnave to make them rootless. He renamed them Baisnava. He organized them for kirtan. He led the kirtan procession to attack the Qazi of the town. His devotees were all terrorists in disguise. They attacked the Qazi and then fled away.

Bengal was then under Husain Shah who was a foolish ruler like Akbar unaware of the Brahminic mischief. All this was done under the sweet name of “cultural movement”. Chaitanya sent two disciples, Rup and Sanatan, to the court. They were cunning. They became prime minister and finance minister. They tried to topple the Muslim govt. from within. They looted the treasury and fled away to Puri. Chaitanya also went to Puri and was murdered by the Brahmins like Gandhi who was also killed by the Brahmins to save their interest. This is history. It was a (hidden) movement, a terrorist movement under the cover of religious movement. I hope you will understand the matter now. This very same age-old tactics was applied to destroy Babri Masjid in our time.

BENGALI AMBEDKARITES NOT MILITANT

I do not know if Budhists became pir or not to save themselves from Brahmin preoccupation. That possibility is there. Pir came from the word Isthabir. This is a Budhist phrase. By becoming Muslims, Ishtabirs may become Pir. Those who did not accept Islam may take this line as a strategy.

The Ambedkarites of Bengal are not militant enough. They are heavily influenced by Brahminic poison. They are interested only in reservation. Books are written by them against the Editor of Dalit Voice and against other genuine Dalit workers. They are still guided by Brahmins. They are interested in intercaste marriages to strengthen Brahminism. How they will fight against them? Sikhs also failed because of this weakness.

Unless and until the Dalits become socially separate you can never be politically strong. Brahmins are fascists, terrorists and militants. Others lack military culture.

As for Dalit-Muslim unity, both Dalits and Muslims should read all the inhuman Brahmin literature. Dalits should read Islamic and Muslim literature. They should study anti-Brahmin heroes: Aurangzeb, Iqbal, Jinnah, Periyar, Dr. Ambedkar and their mission with deep insight. I like to know if Dr. Jamanadas is a Budhist by birth or conversion?

According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), India’s R&D expenditure dropped from 0.77% in 2000 to 0.69% in 2004 of GDP, while that of China increased from 0.9% to 1.23%. Finland, which has remarkably transitioned into a knowledge economy, has increased R&D expenditure from 1.86% in 1990 to 3.51% in 2004. The US spends 2.68% of its massive $13 trillion GDP on R&D alone.

China ahead: The ability of a nation to create knowledge is also indicated in research publication in elite journals. According to the US National Science Foundation, China’s science and engineering ((S&E) research output has quadrupled in a decade, surpassing India’s in 1996 and Russia’s in 2001. In 2003, China accounted for 4.2% of the world’s research articles compared with 1.4% in 1993. However, during this period India’s S&E articles as a percentage of global output has remained stagnant at 1.8% and research output has grown only 31% despite spectacular economic growth.

Success stories: While India can be proud of its IITs, let us not kid ourselves into believing that they are better than Harvard, MIT, and Princeton combined, as often stated in major newspapers and television programmes. It is one thing to be proud of the admission process, but it is meaningless to believe well-intended exaggerations as the truth. Institutions are known not only for student quality, but more importantly they are assessed for research and knowledge creation. In India, a few institutions like the Indian Statistical Institute, the Bose Institute, the Indian Institute of Science and isolated researchers in various institutions have had a record of research of global importance.

False claims: We are made to believe knowledge economy is all about IT or biotechnology. However, R&D in the jute industry that may lead to biodegradable diapers or packaging material to replace plastics has enormous economic and social value for the world and is very important for us to be more inquisitive about our claims of hackneyed success stories. Recently I attended a meeting on reservation for Muslims at Calicut convened by the Popular Front of India under the leadership of E. Abubakar and E.N. Abdur Rahman. Muslims from South have never thought of their origin properly. A vast majority of Kerala Muslims are descendants of Cheruman and Pulayas, two major Dalit castes of Kerala. A large number of Ezhavas also embraced Islam. So also in TN where the Labbai Muslims are Adi Dravida converts. P.S. Krishnan’s report helped a vast majority of AP Muslims to get included in the BC list with a 4% subquota. The Calicut meeting was attended by the creamy layer of Kerala, Karnataka and TN Muslims. While demanding reservation they should have stressed their SC/BC origin. South Indian Muslims are poorer than Dalits. By demanding SC status, the Muslims will get wide ranging facilities and strengthen the Dalit-Muslim unity. Dalits irrespective of religion constitute about 40% of our total population. Dalit unity was divided into two major parts by imposing religious restriction under Article 341 of the Constitution which debarred converted Dalits from SC category.

Zionist-controlled US using India to attack Pakistan & Afghanistan

To provide some context for my remarks, and also to demonstrate how counter-productive and foolish the so-called “war on terrorism” is, I’d like to start by reading to you one paragraph of 147 words from Vol.II of my book, Zionism: The Real Enemy of the Jews.

(In verbal parenthesis I’ll add that “resurrection” is a reference to Ariel Sharon’s rise from political death to the premiership of the zionist state Israel; and “crucifixion” is a reference to the political destruction and eventually the death – almost certainly he was murdered – of Yasser Arafat).

This one paragraph I am about to read is my basic explanation of how to defeat terrorism:

WHY ZIONIST STATE WAS CREATED

Terrorists cannot operate, not for long, without the cover and the practical, emotional and moral support of the community of which they are a part. When that community perceives itself to be the victim of a massive injustice, and if that injustice is not addressed by political means, the community will cover, condone and even applaud those of its own who resort to terror as the only means of drawing attention to the injustice, to cause it to be addressed. It follows that the way to defeat terrorism – the only way – is by addressing the genuine and legitimate grievances of the host community. The community will then withdraw its cover and support for its terrorists; and if they continue to operate, the community will oppose them by exposing them – reporting them to the authorities if reasoning fails.

There are many case studies to support that basic explanation.

In Northern Ireland, for example, the British army did not defeat IRA terrorism. The terrorists called off their campaign because they had no choice — because the Catholic host community would not cover and support them any longer. And that happened only because the British Govt. summoned up the will to risk the wrath of militant Protestantism by insisting that the legitimate grievances of the Catholics of Northern Ireland be addressed.

There is no better illustration of how effective terrorism can be than its role of the creation of the zionist state of Israel. It was founded mainly by zionist terrorism and ethnic cleansing.

Question: What, really, is driving and sustaining violent Islamic fundamentalism?

Answer: It, Islamic terrorism, is the product, mainly, of the hurt, anger and humiliation of the Palestinian, other Arab and Muslim masses. And this hurt, anger and humiliation has three prime and related causes.

(1) America’s arrogance of power in general.

(2) American support for the Zionist state of Israel “right or wrong.”

(3) Impotence of the regimes of the existing Arab and Muslim Order; regimes which seem to think that their best and perhaps only chance of survival lies in doing the bidding of America. Which is, of course, why they are perceived by their masses, generally speaking, to be American (and so Zionist) stooges or puppets to one degree or another.

ROOT CAUSE OF MUSLIM ANGER

The so-called war on terrorism could be easily and quickly won IF the root causes of Arab and other Muslim hurt, anger and humiliation were addressed. You’ll say to me, and I will agree with you, that there are a number of root causes. But there is one above all others, and that is the “Palestine problem”.

If the US President had a magic wand and could wave it overnight to get Israel back behind its borders as they were on the eve of the 1967 war, with Jerusalem an open city and the capital of two states, he would have, with one wave of the wand, the thanks, support and friendship of not only almost all Arabs, but also that of the overwhelming majority of the world’s 1.4 billion Muslims.

In other words the Palestine problem is the cancer at the heart of international affairs. A cure for it would not bring the so-called “war against terrorism” to an immediate end, but it would make winning it a mission possible in a relatively short time.

MUSLIM’S DON’T HATE AMERICA

The Arabs and Muslims do not hate America, do not hate Americans and do not hate even the American way of life. Perhaps a third or even a half of all Arabs and Muslims would, if they could, emigrate to America to enjoy what they believe to be its good life.

What almost all Arabs and Muslims do hate is American foreign policy and, in particular, American policy for the Middle East.

I think Americans are the most uninformed, mis-informed, naïve and gullible people on the face of the earth. That’s the bad news. The good news is that deep down Americans are also the most idealistic people on earth.

What that suggests to me is that if the ordinary decent people of America were properly informed about issues that really matter, I think they would take the lead in turning their own country around and enabling America to play it’s necessary leading role in changing the world for the better.

If the people of America had been properly and honestly informed about the cause-and-effect relationship of Israeli occupation to Palestinian violence, I think they almost certainly would have demanded an end of Israeli occupation long ago.

President George Dubya Bush has thus become the best recruiting sergeant for violent Islamic fundamentalism, why? Is it

(a) because he is ignorant of history, doesn’t know what he is doing and is, in a word, stupid; or is it

(b) because he, or those who pull his strings, want a Clash of Civilisations, Judeo-Christian v Islamic?

In the (b) scenario it could be that the string-pullers don’t actually want a “Clash of Civilisations”. It might be that really don’t care if it happens as a result of their policy of ethnic and sectarian polarisation and conflict.

How you answer that (a) or (b) question depends on who you think is pulling President Bush’s strings.

ZIONISTS INSTIGATED IRAQ WAR

The jury in my own mind is convinced that the war with Iraq is — certainly started out as — zionism’s war. The initial and prime pushers for war were two neo-cons who are also hardcore, actually hardest core, zionists. They were Richard Pearl and Paul Wolfowitz. Zionism wanted Saddam Hussein’s removal and Iraq broken up because it perceived him and it to be the main potential threat to Israel’s military domination of the region….. I think it was only after Pearl and Wolfowitz started to press the case for war to get rid of Saddam Hussein that other powerful vested interests – Oil and the Military Industrial Complex to name two — came on board…… It’s also my view that Vice President Cheney — I call him Dr. Strangelove — is the man who orchestrates the pulling of President Bush’s strings.

As for President Bush himself, he is sounding to me, more often than not, like a Dalek. For those who are not familiar with the BBC’s Dr. Who programmes, a Dalek is a robot, a programmed machine.

It is not right to describe Blair as Bush’s “poodle”. Blair was essentially one of them. I mean that he is more neo-con than not, and more a Christian fundamentalist than not. I also think he completely zionised British foreign policy. It will be interesting to see if Brown can undo some of that damage.

INFLUENCE OVER INDIA

I’d like now to say a few words about zionism’s penetration of India’s security services and parts of the Indian body politic at central decision-making level.

It’s no secret – well, not too much of a secret – that for the past decade and perhaps longer, the Mossad and other Israeli security agencies have been developing a special relationship with their Indian counterparts. So what’s the agenda?

In my understanding it’s part and parcel of American neo-con and zionist contingency planning for the next 25 years. This includes a strategy for World War III, that is war with China. And this strategy foresees the need for America to have India as its Israel in South Asia.

In theory the prospect of war between America and China at a point in a foreseeable future has to be taken seriously. Why?

If China continues on its present development path – I mean if it does not implode from within as a consequence of its growing rich-poor divisions – it will need in 10 to 12 years or so about 70% and perhaps more of the world’s energy resources. Will America agree to that? Of course not.

America on present course would have two options: either to unleash the CIA and other agency allies in China with the hope of de-stabilising China and destroying its economy from within; or to go to war with China.

INDIA BECOMES AMERICA’S ISRAEL

I cannot speculate in any detail about what India’s role would be as America’s Israel in the event of war with China. But I imagine that India’s prime function would be to take out Pakistan and Afghanistan with a pre-emptive strike.

For some years I have believed that if we citizens of nations leave the making of the future to our leaders and awesomely powerful financial vested interests, our children probably, and their children certainly, are most unlikely to have a future worth having.

What can be done and by whom to stop the madness?

FATAH-HAMAS FIGHT

The strategy today of Israel’s leaders and their American collaborators seems to me to be quite clear. It is based on the hope that their Fatah proxies, with the assistance of Israel’s security forces as necessary, can be re-armed to take on and destroy Hamas, and this as a prelude to imposing on the Palestinians, by force if necessary, whatever Israel is prepared to offer by way of a final settlement – the crumbs from zionism’s table.

What will be the consequences:

It will add fuel to the burning street fire of Palestinian and other Arab and Muslim anger and humiliation; and no doubt provoke more Islamic terrorism.

It will be counter-productive and move the region closer to a great upheaval – perhaps even the first real Arab revolution, which could see the toppling of regimes perceived by their masses to be American puppets.

And it will make an eventual “Clash of Civilisations”, Judeo-Christian v Islamic, more likely than not.

So the most important question of our time with regard to the Palestine problem is this: What can be done, and by whom, to stop the countdown to catastrophe for all and give peace a real, last chance?

MEDIA MANIPULATION

In my analysis there is a political reality - one above all others - to be faced. It is that the governments of the major Western powers are never, ever going to use the leverage they have to call and hold the zionist state of Israel to account for its crimes unless….. Unless they are pushed to do so by informed public opinion; by a manifestation of real democracy in action.

The problem throughout the mainly Gentile Judeo-Christian or Western world, and coast-to-coast across America especially, is that the citizens of nations, generally speaking, are too uninformed to do the pushing. I mean that they are too ignorant of real history to make democracy work for justice and peace in the Middle East.

The explanation for this ignorance is not complicated. The citizens of the Western nations, generally speaking, have been conditioned by the mainstream media, which is terrified of offending Zionism, to accept a version of history, zionism’s version, which is simply not true.

I don’t believe real democracy exists anywhere in the world, and least of all America. What passes for democracy there is for sale to the highest bidders; and one of the highest bidders is zionism..... There is much more to democracy than voting every few years. For real democracy even to exist, the citizens of nations, the voters, must know enough about the great issues of the day in order to participate in informed and honest debate which is the lifeblood of democracy, and be empowered to call and hold their leaders to account…. In the nations of the Western world, we have the framework of democracy, but, with regard to the understanding needed to make democracy work for justice and peace in the Middle East, we do not yet have the substance.

So, what is it that the citizens of the Western nations need to know if they are to be empowered to play their necessary part in pushing their governments to call and hold zionism to account?

KNOW TRUTH OF HISTORY

The short answer is — the truth of history as it relates to the making and sustaining of the conflict in and over Palestine.

It was to provide the first ever comprehensive account of the truth of history that I devoted more than five years of my life to researching and writing Zionism, The Real Enemy of the Jews. Given that it’s a re-writing of the entire story of the making and sustaining of the Arab-Israeli conflict, replacing zionist mythology with the facts and documented truth, you might ask why I chose such a title…. I insisted on Zionism, The Real Enemy of the Jews because it reflects in seven words two related truths for our time.

The first is that the sleeping giant of classical anti-Semitism has been re-awakened in the Western nations where most of the world’s Jews live. The second is that the prime cause of the re-awakening is the behaviour of the zionist state of Israel.

Telling all of the knowable truth with global context required two volumes, but I can sum up the essence of it in about two minutes or thereabouts.

In the shadow of the obscenity of the nazi holocaust (a European not an Arab crime) the creation of the Zionist state Israel required the doing of a terrible injustice to the Arabs of Palestine, about three quarters of whom were dispossessed of their land and their rights by, mainly, Zionist terrorism and ethnic cleansing.

ISRAEL NOT A NATION STATE

Since its unilateral declaration of statehood in 1948, Israel’s existence has never, ever, been in danger from any combination of Arab military force or, to put it another way, the prospect of Israeli Jews being “driven in the sea” was never a real zone…. Zionism’s assertion to the contrary — the myth upon which the first draft of Judeo-Christian history is constructed — was the cover which allowed Israel to get away where it mattered most, Western Europe and North America, with presenting its aggression as self-defence; and itself as the victim when, actually, it was and is the oppressor.

There are many people (and not only Jews of all persuasions and none) who say that Israel was given its birth certificate and thus its legitimacy or right to exist by a UN partition resolution; and because of that, they also say, I am quite wrong, totally out of order, to describe Israel’s declaration of independence as “unilateral”. To those people I say that the essence of the truth of history under this heading can be summarised as follows….

The partition plan resolution of the UN General Assembly was only a proposal. It did not go to the Security Council for a policy decision because President Truman knew that, if approved, it could only be implemented by force – because of the totality of Arab and other Muslim opposition to it; and Truman was not prepared to use force. So the Partition Plan proposal was vitiated, became invalid. And the question of what the hell to do about Palestine was taken back to the General Assembly for more discussion. The option favoured and proposed by the US was temporary UN trusteeship. It was while the General Assembly was debating what do that Israel unilaterally declared itself to be in existence – actually in defiance of the will of the organised international community, including the Truman administration.

The truth of the time was that the zionist state had no right to exist and, more to the point, could have no right to exist unless ….. Unless it was recognised and legitimized by those who were dispossessed of their land and their rights during its creation. In international law only the Palestinians could give Israel the legitimacy it craved. And that legitimacy was the only thing the zionists could not take from the Palestinians by force.

BIGGEST LIE IN HUMAN HISTORY

As the record of de-classified documentation shows, it was Israel not the Arabs which spurned opportunity after opportunity to make peace – the latest of them being the re-presentation of Saudi Arabia’s initiative. Israel’s often repeated claim that it had “no partner for peace”, and the assertion that it has lived in danger of annihilation, are the main planks of one of the biggest and most successful propaganda lies in all of human history.

The man who did most to make peace possible on terms which any rational Israeli government and people would have accepted with relief was Yasser Arafat, which was why, from Zionism’s perspective, he had to be demonised and destroyed.

The colonial enterprise that zionism is has corrupted everything it touched, beginning with the United Nations and including the media, what passes for democracy in the Western world (America especially) and Judaism itself.

This is the short summary of the essence of the truth of history which the citizens of the Western nations need to know.

ZIONISM IS DIFFERENT FROM JUDAISM

There is, however, another element of the truth that must be told if the citizens of the Western nations are to be empowered to play their necessary part in making democracy work for justice and peace in the Middle East. They must be informed of the difference between zionism and Judaism. In my view knowledge of this difference is the key to understanding.

In order to make the charge that criticism of Israel is a manifestation of anti-semitism, supporters and defenders of Israel right or wrong assert that zionism and judaism are one and the same.

The truth is not only that zionism and Judaism are total opposites, but that the return of Jews to the land of biblical Israel by the efforts of man was proscribed by Judaism…. After my wife, my second best friend in the world is my very kosher Jewish accountant. Until this Gentile told him, he didn’t know that zionism was proscribed by judaism. I wonder how many other Jews don’t know.

I also wonder how many Jews, and Gentiles, are aware of the following... Many if not most of the Jews who went to Palestine in answer to zionism’s call had no biological connection to the ancient Hebrews. The incoming zionist Jews were mainly foreign nationals of many lands, descended from those who became Jewish by conversion to Judaism centuries after the fall of the ancient Jewish kingdom of Israel and what is called the “dispersal” into “oblivion” of its people. The notion that there are two entire peoples with an equally valid claim to the same land is an historical nonsense. The relatively few Jews with a valid claim were, are, the descendants of those who stayed in Palestine through everything. They numbered only a few thousand at the time of zionism’s birth; they regarded themselves as Palestinians; and they were fiercely opposed to zionism’s colonial enterprise – because they rightly feared that it would make them as well as the incoming, alien zionist Jews enemies of the Arabs among whom they had lived in peace and security.

ZIONISM DESTROYING JUDAISM

Judaism is the religion of Jews and, rather like Christianity and Islam, it has at its core a set of ethnical principles and moral values.Zionism is not only a secular, colonialist ideology, it makes a mockery of, and has contempt for, the ethical principles and moral values of Judaism. Which is why those most often described as “ultra orthodox” religious Jews say, and I believe they are right, that zionism is destroying Judaism.

A recently published and remarkable book on the subject of the difference between Judaism and zionism is titled A Threat From Within, a century of Jewish opposition to zionism, author, a Canadian Jew, Yakov Rabkin, who is Professor of History at the University of Montreal….. When Yakov was in London, I asked him, on the record, a very explicit question: “Is it reasonable to say that the Jews of the world now have a choice to make – either to reaffirm their commitment to Judaism and renounce zionism, or to reaffirm or affirm their commitment to zionism and renounce Judaism?” He replied with one word, “yes”.

ZIONISM THRIVING ON PROPAGANDA LIES

Zionism’s prime defence is not actually its bullets and bombs or even its nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction. Its prime defence is the wall– but not the so-called security fence or annexation wall currently nearing completion. the wall I am referring to is the wall of propaganda lies zionism has constructed (with the complicity of the mainstream Western media and governments) around its colonial enterprise.

The bottom-line point in three parts is this.

1. The false charge of anti-Semitism is the blackmail card which the obscenity of the nazi holocaust enables zionism to play to silence criticism of its self-righteous and aggressive child, Israel, and to suppress informed and honest debate about who must do what and why if the countdown to catastrophe for all is to be stopped.

2. If Zionism’s blackmail card is to be trumped – I mean if the fear of being falsely accused of anti-semitism for criticising Israel is to be exorcised, the citizens of nations must be informed about the truth of history and, most important of all, the difference between Judaism and zionism.

3. It follows, or so I believe, that the most effective Arab and Muslim response to American-and-zionist state terrorism (with a little assistance from Britain) is not violence of any kind, but participation in informed and honest discussion and debate to make democracy work for justice and peace.

BANGALORE STAGES IMPRESSIVE SHOW

Why am I so sure that democracy can be made to work for this noble cause? Short answer— I am convinced that the ordinary, decent peoples of nations are not nearly as stupid as they are assumed by their politicians and the mainstream media to be. They are merely under-informed and misinformed.

I’ll close by telling you about an event in India that reinforced my faith in what I like to call the innate common sense of so-called ordinary people.

In February 2007 in Bangalore, I participated in the Empower India Conference. My friend V.T. Rajshekar, who is with us today, was also one of the speakers.…. I imagine, VT, that you were as much inspired by it as I was.

The closing rally on Feb.17 (my 65th birthday) was attended by over 100,000 people. Quite an impressive number. But most impressive of all was the age, I mean the youth, of most of those attending. My guess was that three-quarters of them were about 20 or under. They were there, these young people, because they wanted to be better informed in order to play their part in making democracy work.

It was a most inspiring event, and I returned from India reinforced in my belief that stopping the madness is not a mission impossible.

This paper was read by him at the London Institute of South Asia (LISA) headed by Brig. Usman Khalid (retd.), in London on July 24 on the occasion of the silver jubilee celebration of Dalit Voice.
