A paradox called India : Heartless upper caste rulers pushing country backwards

The developments in India in the last one fortnight — at the highest political and judiciary level — once again make us conclude that our micro-minority upper caste rulers are not prepared to yield even an inch to the deprived destitutes of the country. They will not mind even if the country goes to dogs but they will never, ever give even an iota of their ill-gotten wealth to relieve the pain and starvation of the destitutes. This is called Gandhi's India.

The oppressed majority, however, has become so weak that it has no strength or courage to stand up and fight back. They are deliberately kept poor and hence illiterate and bamboozled by all sorts of false promises. This is called Gandhi's India.

Frauds have taken over the leadership of every section of the society and we see no hope of the country even opening its eyes. But our elites are unperturbed. Their conscience is dead. They live in a world of their own — in endless pursuit of pleasure and pomp. They have the full blessings of their gods to loot India.

Bombay vultures: The way our celebrated India Inc. deceived the society during the June 26, 2005 unprecedented floods that engulfed the country's richest and the most important city, Bombay, proves we have no hope in our upper castes ever bothering about the country's welfare. They have not even the conscience. As the people were dying during this worst ever floods, the Bombay Stock Exchange vultures were busy making money as the sensex crossed the all-time record.

The shocking behaviour of the Congress Party, which presides over the ruling coalition in Delhi, over Delhi's 1984 anti-Sikh riots in which the Hindus simply slaughtered thousands of Sikhs. Even after over 21 years of the ghastly state-sponsored crime and nine commissions of inquiry the victims have been denied justice. Even the country's first Sikh Prime Minister disappointed the brave Sikhs, the gate-keepers of India.

Then we have the more serious pro-upper caste behaviour of the country's Supreme Court itself. Its two latest judgments (1) scrapping reservations to weaker sections in private professional colleges and (2) criticising religious minorities for claiming minority status as assured in the Constitution. Both the judgments have brought supreme happiness to the rulers.

Slowly and steadily, the higher judiciary is interfering with the work of the govt. (executive) and the powers of Parliament and state legislatures are clipped. Elected representatives are made to surrender to the unelected, upper caste judges.

Whether it is the govt. or the judiciary or any other wing of the society, we find hardly any section of the ruling class ready to yield even an inch to the majority deprived destitutes of India. Even after 58 years of "independence", our rulers have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing as the country is slipping from bad to worse.

Sikhs compromise with Hindus: Every section of the ruling class — whether it is media, financial institutions, bureaucracy — is facing serious crisis. This is the paradox called India. If the people at the highest level behave like anti-humans, what future can we expect for this country?

As the Nanavati Commission report on the bloody anti-Sikh riots of 1984 was being discussed in Delhi we re-read our history-making Editorial of Nov.16, 1984 (DV Vol.4, No.3): "A Dalit kills Indira taking Sikhs closer to Khalistan", and found that India's rulers have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing from history. How did the govt. take 21 years to come to some conclusion on the Delhi's anti-Sikh riots? If the Delhi riots were led by the Congress Party, the BJP-led Vajpayee Govt. at least should have punished the Congressmen who engineered the Sikh massacre.

The Akali Dal, a major Sikh party, was part of the Vajpayee Govt. Why the Akali Dal also kept silent for over five years when they were in the govt.?

If the "Blue Star Operation" of June 6, 1984 that killed an estimated 12,000 Sikhs in Golden Temple, described as the "Hindu war against Sikhs", the Akali Dal should have sought justice when they were in power. But the Akali Dal joined hands with the very killers of Sikhs, and kept silent on the "Blue Star" as well as on the Delhi massacre of Sikhs.

The Akalis are essentially a Jat Sikh party and lately more and more Jat Sikhs are finding it comfortable in the company of Brahmins and other upper castes. The Jats hate the Dalit and Backward Sikhs more than the upper caste Hindus. They have cleanly forgotten what the Guru Granth said, Guru Gobind Singh said, what the Hindus did to Golden Temple and later even the Delhi massacre of Sikhs.

Upper caste Sikhs spared: Besides, those killed in the Delhi riots were mostly Dalit Sikhs and other poorer Sikhs living in thickly populated Sikh areas of Delhi. The upper caste Khatri, Aurora and other affluent Sikhs did not live in Sikh localities. But they were living with upper caste Hindus in posh localities. They were well protected by their Hindu brothers. Hence upper caste Sikhs and their Akali Party was not keen about seeking justice for poor Sikhs who were butchered in the Delhi riots.

When the Akali Dal and its Jat Sikh followers could forget and forgive the perpetrators of the "Blue Star Operation" itself in which the great Sant Bhindranwale himself was killed, Akal Takht destroyed and Golden Temple itself desecrated apart from killing about 12,000 Sikhs, why should it worry about the Delhi riots? Where is the great Sikh self-respect?

The upper caste Sikhs compromising with upper caste Hindus is the principal cause of the delay in taking action on Nanavati Commission report.

A poor, neglected Gujar tribes and Dalits were used by the Delhi Congress leaders to kill thousands of Sikhs. The Hindu nazi parties contributed their mite to the massacre. It was again a Hindu conspiracy. And the Hindu rulers of India naturally did not want to punish those Hindus involved in the Delhi bloodbath. Simple.

Where is justice in India? The upper caste leadership of every section of the society is worried only about its jatwalas. The Dalits and other "low castes" and Muslims get no justice in India because we are ruled by a heartless upper caste elite.

Dalit Voice has a new email address: dalitvoice@rediffmail.com.
This is in addition to the existing one: vtr@ndf.vsnl.net.in

We had to go for a new Email ID after having received lots of complaints that the mail sent to us is bouncing back. However, we continued to get all the emails but the sender gets the reply that his/her mail is not being delivered as our mail box isfull. Hundreds of our friends in India and outside stopped sending us mails for no fault on our side.

We tried to complain to VSNL with which our email is registered but they are not able to rectify the mistake. Hence we are forced to seek a new email address.
